Our exclusive King Charles III jigsaw features all sorts of facts and illustrations of the accession and coronation of King Charles III and his Queen Consort Camilla. We start with the birth of Prince Charles, first child of Princess Elizabeth and Philip Duke of Edinburgh in 1948 - then we go to the Throne Room in St James Palace where the accession ceremony took place amid a burst of pageantry and a trumpet fanfare! After the coronation our King and Queen Consort will no doubt be spending more time in residence at Buckingham Palace but on this jigsaw we show their favourite royal residences, their beloved Jack Russells and we make reference to their love of nature and gardening ...and of course the red squirrel makes another appearance!

Produced entirely in the UK, using the highest quality jigsaw print production, this vibrant new jigsaw is ideal for puzzlers that want to buy British and support small businesses.
Featuring King Charles and the Queen Consort standing proudly against a backdrop of The Mall and Buckingham Palace, the jigsaw portrays joyful well-wishers from all over the British Isles waving their Union Flags, roses, thistles, shamrocks and daffodils.
Overhead, the Red Arrows roar their way across a red, white and blue sky, from Windsor, over the London skyline including The Tower of London, Westminster Abbey and the London Eye. This glorious scene is adorned with many of the things that reflect the King's love of the British people, animals, conservation and the environment, whilst the royal couple’s rescue dogs sit dutifully at their feet.
Inscribed inside the lid: Evoking plentiful pageantry and celebration combined with religious formalities that have remained similar to those conducted for over a thousand years, the coronation ceremony service is led by the Archbishop of Canterbury. An occasion like no other, the ceremony has taken place at Westminster Abbey for over 900 years.

The anointing is the most sacred part of the coronation ceremony, and takes place before the investiture and crowning. Traditionally, the Archbishop pours holy oil from an ampulla, into a spoon, and anoints the sovereign on the hands, chest and head. The gesture dates back to the Old Testament Book of Kings and the anointing of Solomon as King.
Reflecting a modern monarchy, the ancient recipe for the coronation anointing oil has been updated to include olive oil scented with a mix of essential oils, benzoin, cinnamon, jasmine, neroil, rose, sesame, with orange blossom also added. It was these coronation emblems that inspired Nicola to create a design fit for our new King. Oranges and burnished brown cinnamon sticks sit amongst white roses with soft cream shading at their centres, and small star-shaped jasmine flowers - all set against the dramatic backdrop of a classic Moorcroft dark blue ground.
The ampulla dates back to Roman time, and was a small round vessel with two handles, used for sacred purposes. Nicola wanted to emulate this ancient shape with her contemporary design and so Moorcroft’s classic twin-handled vase has been re-imagined for King Charles III’s coronation on a new and smaller shape to mark this very special historic occasion.
The Coronation of King Charles III will take place at Westminster Abbey in London on Saturday 6th May. The Abbey has been Britain’s coronation church since 1066 and King Charles III will be the 40th reigning monarch to be crowned there.
Due to the historic and important role the Abbey has played in the nation’s coronation services for almost 1000 years; Kerry wanted to include a number of its key architectural elements within her design to celebrate the occasion. The abbey has the highest Gothic vault in England and its arches surround the circumference of this round lidded box while the black and white triangular band, that runs around the base, pays homage to the chequerboard floor that runs past the choir stands to the high altar.
Finally, the magnificent Rose Window inspired one of the most intricate lids Moorcroft has ever created. As for the shape itself, this harks back to the time of founder William Moorcroft, when it was last used to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III’s grandfather, King George VI on 12th May 1937. Its revival at Moorcroft pays tribute to the past, while commemorating the new Carolean era.
Queen of the Border
Designed by Emma Bossons Ltd H 35cm W 13.5cm £1835
“For me, the magnificent, gloriously apparelled delphinium. With its impeccable bearing and massed in platoons, holds pride of place in my botanical affects” – King Charles III.
Delphiniums gained the name Queen of the Border since their tall flower spikes make excellent perennial borders in gardens and classic landscapes. Indeed, His Majesty King Charles III, has declared that his favourite flowers are the gloriously apparelled delphinium. It might then be assumed, that if his wife, and Queen Consort Camilla, were to be a flower, she would be a delphinium.
The name origin of delphiniums comes from the Greek word delphin (dolphin) due to the flower’s spur resembling a dolphin’s back. Queen of the Border is a feminine design, with Art Nouveau curves that comes crashing down like Hokusai’s Great waves off Kanagawa in which Prussian blue wood block paints invigorated a new art movement. The blue hues hand painted layer by layer, hold an electric mix of colour, where regal purples, soft cornflower and cobalt blues charge the senses through a host of delphiniums in flower and bud, each a reflection of its kind and yet something refreshingly unique.
Queen Consort Camilla will be a host to Presidents, Kings and Queens, Heads of State and so much more. Nevertheless, she will also be our Queen of Borders, protector and champion to a budding new generation, as well as the lost and the forgotten, in truth, those who she has, quietly and steadfastly, already served.
NEW Garden Of Kings
Designed by Kerry Goodwin. H 15.5cm incl knob, W 13cm £1475
It is a well-known fact that His Majesty King Charles III is an avid champion of the delphinium, with his own beloved Highgrove Gardens holding these towering kings within the Cottage Garden, Sundial Garden, and Kitchen Garden throughout June. And so, it is with this Moorcroft design.
The commanding presence of the delphinium blooms soar up the side of this lidded pot, a shape not released since the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth in 1953, with erect racemes of corn-eyed, soft, azure to pimpernel-blue flowers rising over Highgrove itself.
It has been said that the heart of kings should not lie in Royal palaces but in the garden itself. The lid, topped with a monde, as found on the St. Edward's Crown, a crown historically used at the moment of coronation from the coronation of King Charles II in 1661 to H.M. King Charles III himself, is delicately circled with delphinium blooms, which arch, one over another, like the Baroque arches of the Coronation Crown itself.
The weather is truly a British preoccupation, we are never happy, too cold, too hot, too wet, too dry! At least with these high quality umbrellas we can be prepared if it rains on our coronation parade.
