Desiree Winbush is much more than first-time patrons think they will get. You learn that on your first visit or watching her live show fans tune into weekly like clockwork.

Her career began in cosmetology doing hair, which eventually bloomed into discovering her real forte. A passion capable of fulfilling all her dreams. This Nail Tech is somewhat unfamiliar with the community, yet she has fans gracing our pages with her artistry and skills all over social media. She is all about the work and the word. A talk show personality and confident spirit, with the ability to reach out and touch via the screen. Her magnetic charm is not for the faint of heart but the hearts that are real. If you are not careful, you will miss her work listening to her words. A “no” non-sense personality that will make you feel like you are at her home. Desiree has some of the most-gorgeous nails in the business. Since 17 she has adorned longer nails. Her Grandmother told her if he could hold a job, she can grow them to her hearts’ content. An agreement that inadvertently launched a successful future.

Most wonder if they might interfere with her skills. According to this busy tech, she loves proving she can do anything with or without nails. She has her way of adapting. It is what she knows, and what she is used to and it’s the same nail-story when explaining the technical issues. It is always positive and intended that they draw attention, and I concur. Most of her clientele are women sent to her by their men. Her clientele is so devoted, men oust their own woman feeling cheated if she sees another nail tech. The only negative that exists in her realm is them not getting noticed because nails are her business.

Desiree and I had not connected socially before our conversation. The audio needed visuals once this master artist delved deeper into

the X’treme Nailz Movement’s longer-nail examples. Unable to contain my laughter at her reaction to my own-personal extremes. It was a mutual decision extreme could be redefined for her perception. Some may have extreme(s) in art, some have extreme lengths, again causing me laughter, with the subtle jab. She does nails that spiral, sculpted, perfecting longer-lengths, customizing shapes and specialties for customers, no stranger to extreme nails or art. In a world filled with exploitation, she does not want to think the field is solely about the fetish.

She has not been too attentive to media posts of the entertainment world of Divas of elongation. Desiree is too busy keeping shop and entertaining her fans via her live post or adult groups for honest enlightening topics of conversation. She has a couple of people she makes time to admire in the U.S. another abroad worth a mention. Not oblivious to those like Big booty Judy or Tokyo, just neutral for all intent and professional purposes. Her focal point, Nail Techs. Like any professional whose work requires ever-evolving skills. Her focus on nails celebrity or not, sole merit from a professional point of view. She replies, not to me, refusing to feel insulted by what some are incapable of understanding. Not their thing, she said without attitude or sign of conflict, exuding spiritual neutrality with an aura that can define Zen.

Inspired by the legendary and beloved Florence “Flo Jo” Griffith Joyner, Desiree herself dazzles with a preference for stiletto-shaped nails. Her favorite standard type to accentuate their extreme length. She likes them thick to endure her busy schedule and various enterprises.

Perfecting her look since 2008 in conjunction with her new career in couture claws. Her preference is the natural semi-blinged no polish look. A French manicure in overdrive. Seasonal colors when it truly matters, and turquoise nails when she’s feeling artsy. She has never entertained coordinating colors with her clothing. Those are separate entities entirely for this walking billboard for “Naildom”.

X’treme Nailz International establishing this platform for the Extreme Nails Community is appreciated by all facets of the industry. It inspires and helps the Nail Tech industry and sheds light upon this emerging monopoly. The community indicates signs of permanence despite economics, culture, or age.
