AIMEE MCCONKIE Who doesn’t love a good party? This is especially true for community volunteer Aimee McConkie who founded and directs Venture Out! She hopes each show inspires guests to participate in active and enriching outdoor activities.

She also hopes to create a shared sense of community and identity for Millcreek residents. Aimee and her husband love to ski, camp, hike, garden, swim and play outside with their four daughters.

Cotopaxi is kicking off another Questival at a unique Venture Out! Signature Event. Are you ready to jump into a pool fully clothed, challenge a stranger to a rock paper scissors match, learn to churn butter or leave little origami cranes made of dollar bills in secret places? Then Questival is for you. This 24-hour self-guided adventure is all about pushing yourself, building friendships, and strengthening community.

To participate in the full Questival experience, groups or families of two to six people must sign-up IN ADVANCE. Each racer receives event gear including a Luzon backpack and race swag.

Teams compete to win trips, gear, and more. The race offers up to $10,000 in prizes!

Join us for a special Venture Out! Signature Event: Farm to Table Pop-Up Dinner. Held at the Historic Baldwin Radio Factory (adjacent to Evergreen Park), this community dining experience is like no other, meeting new friends one bite at a time.

For those who are 21 and older and for the affordable price of just $20 per person, you can begin the evening with a gallery stroll through the local art studios, sample a few appetizers, grab a drink and listen to some live jazz music.

Later, find your seats at those incredible long tables and savor an amazing 3-course meal while getting to know your neighbors. Wendy and Bill with Roots Café will provide a taste of fresh, local creative eats for your to enjoy.

For one special night, Millcreek Community Council is transforming Big Cottonwood Park into an island paradise. And even though the plastic leis may not smell like plumerias, the aroma of cooking pork will magically transport you to the islands. Grab your flip flops, floral shirts, grass skirts, and coconut bras and join us for an evening of island living.

Enjoy an incredible community roasted pig dinner for $5 per person or $20 for a family of 5. Watch the fire dancers perform and then throw your back out at the “How low can you go?” limbo contest.

When you’re all worn out, “lei” out your blankets for the movie and enjoy Finding Dory under the night sky.

MOVIE FINDING DORY (PG) Dory is a wide-eyed, blue tang fish who suffers from memory loss every 10 seconds or so. The one thing she can remember is that she somehow became separated from her parents as a child. With help from her friends Nemo and Marlin, Dory embarks on an epic adventure to find them. Her journey brings her to the Marine Life Institute, a conservatory that houses diverse ocean species. Dory now knows that her family reunion will only happen if she can save mom and dad from captivity.
