Message from the U.S. Chargé d’Affaires a.i. The United States is not only a growing and important market for companies with climate and energy-related solutions. With strong growth and major domestic infrastructure renewal underway, this moment represents an extraordinary opportunity for Danish investment in the United States. I encourage Danish companies to connect with the official U.S. investment promotion agency, SelectUSA, and participate in the SelectUSA Summit June 26-29.

Despite a year of prolonged economic turbulence, the trade relationship between Denmark and the United States continues to grow. The U.S. is Denmark’s largest export market. Our ties have proven resilient in the face of the pandemic, and our mutual commitment to the transatlantic trade relationship, innovation, and entrepreneurship has remained constant. Our shared dedication to tackling the climate crisis further strengthens our commercial ties. Successful progress toward reaching our climate goals will require new technology, investment, and sourcing from abroad. Denmark’s global leadership in driving global climate ambitions is an opportunity to deepen the economic relationship, while creating a more sustainable economy. I am confident that U.S. companies can contribute emerging technologies and know-how that will help Denmark meet its emissions reduction targets.

6 Yearbook 2022

AmCham Denmark is a critical partner for the U.S. Embassy in Copenhagen, and along with the Embassy’s Commercial Service, we look forward to continuing our great cooperation into the future. Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. Stuart Dwyer

“Denmark’s global leadership in driving global climate ambitions is an opportunity to deepen the U.S. - Denmark economic relationship, while creating a more sustainable economy.”

Message from the Danish Ambassador to the U.S. In May 2021 Secretary of State Anthony J. Blinken visited the Kingdom of Denmark, which further exemplifies the close and enduring relationship shared between the US and Denmark, and that our nations stand together as close allies. At a time with increasing global tension, alignment in our priorities such as climate, security policy, trade, and much more are of utmost importance.

The past year has been another filled with many challenges due to Covid. However, we have still managed to push through with important agendas and common interests in the transatlantic economic relationship between the United States and Denmark.

Looking ahead, we plan for a busy year with multiple official visits from Denmark to the US. We will use these occasions to engage industry as a key stakeholder in discussions, and I am hopeful that, together, we can find solutions to the challenges at hand. Partnerships are essential to achieving success, and, in that regard, we are pleased to work with AmCham Denmark to foster interaction and knowledge sharing among our two nations. Ambassador Lone Dencker Wisborg

As part of the new Administration’s ambitions, we have seen the United States firmly pledge its reinvestment into the green agenda with plans materialized in the Build Back Better framework. These investments provide excellent opportunities for our nations’ companies, and we will continue to support and develop avenues for increased collaboration wherever we can.

Message from the CHAIRS I am deeply humbled and excited for this opportunity to serve as AmCham Denmark’s Chairman. We have built an extremely strong and resilient organization, well equipped to tackle the many new challenges of tomorrow.

I am proud to have served as AmCham Denmark’s Chairwoman since September 2021, and as my time in Denmark draws to a close, I reflect on my rewarding experience with AmCham. During my brief tenure, I have admired the ability of the organization to continue operating at force, even during a second year of lockdowns. It is amid challenging times where we see the true nature of an organization – and this past year proved exactly how strong and resilient AmCham is. Throughout the year the AmCham Team adapted when needed, expertly executing a strong program of virtual and in-person events with ease, providing valuable and engaging activities for our members without skipping a beat. AmCham also continued to advance its Voice of International Business, advocating for building a more competitive investment environment in Denmark – one that encourages growth and job creation. It has been a true honor to serve, and to meet all the wonderful people and companies connected with AmCham. I am now delighted to hand the baton to AmCham’s new Chairman Nicolai Moresco from Dell. I can assure you that the organization couldn’t be in more capable hands. Tisha Boatman Outgoing Chairwoman

A very special thanks to Tisha Boatman, for her strong leadership and inspiration in serving on AmCham’s board and as Chairwoman - you have been incredibly generous with your time and personal commitment in securing AmCham’s continued success. Looking ahead, following 2-years of limited inperson gatherings, AmCham’s role in bringing people together will be more important than ever. Which is why AmCham launched its new Leadership Mentoring Program, where professionals and leaders with international experience can learn from each other across industries. I look forward to working together with my fellow board members, AmCham’s professional staff, and our more than 230 member companies to further the Chamber’s success in 2022 and beyond. BUSINESS AWARDS AmCham celebrates business excellence by awarding the Transatlantic Company of the Year and the Foreign Company of the Year to companies who have had the greatest impact on their respective side of the Atlantic.

CIP is a fund management company founded in 2012, which specializes in the development of, and investment in, renewable energy infrastructure assets. The company is developing renewable energy projects, which build on the strong skills and knowledge within the renewable energy sector in both the U.S. and in Denmark, with the goal of developing projects which are not only sound investments for the pension funds, but that also contribute to further developing the U.S. renewables market.
