American Stalls was founded in 2006 when we won an RFP to build 1,500 horse stalls for a prestigious horse show venue in Saugerties, NY.
Ever since, we have worked on thousands of barns across North America. We've worked on projects including everything from a six-stall private barn to large Olympic-training barns. For 18 years, we have been a leading manufacturer for luxury horse stalls and stabling equipment.
Horse stalls, barn doors, and equine flooring are large investments toward your horses’ safety and your farm. This is why we custom build products that fit your lifestyle, design needs, and that stands the test of time. Our products are designed for horse people by horse people.
Horse stalls are deceptively simple. They require an expert understanding of steel fabrication, equine know-how, materials engineering, and the know how of a horse barn.
We share our expertise by building world class barn products that will impress your friends, family, and clients. Most importantly, American Stalls products will serve their primary function – to safely house your horses for years to come.
Research what styles you would like in your dream project. Visit friends’ barns to get a better idea. Order our print materials. Look through our photos and videos on our website at www.americanstalls.com.
Before we build your equipment, we will send you technical CAD drawings. You will review these drawings at this stage to confirm design and measurements. Our team will also provide an estimated date of completion.
We are horse people who understand the hectic schedules of fellow horse people. We also understand the complexities that go into planning a barn project. Contact our team and we will assist you every step of the way.
Our design team works closely with our manufacturing team – handpicking the highest quality materials for your project. Each piece of equipment undergoes strenuous quality control measures.
We will send you options and pricing once you have spoken with one of our design consultants. Our consultant will provide recommendations based on your project’s location, requirements, and our budget.
Our American Stalls team is here for you throughout your project. Our team prides itself in its transparency and communication. This ongoing communication continues after delivery to ensure complete satisfaction.
We understand that each barn, horse, and rider is unique. That is why we custom build our Stall Front Systems.
We work with our clients to customize everything in a stall front from finishes to feed options to designs. This ensures that each stall front works in perfect harmony with your horses.
Each stall uses our high-quality steel. We then prime and powder coat the steel for a smooth finish. Lastly, we offer hand selected wood in a variety of species — including southern yellow pine, tigerwood, and HDPE.
Our choice in material ensures your horse stalls are elegant, durable, and stand the test of time.
Our sliding stall fronts are a great choice for all barns. Since the door slides rather than swings outward, sliding doors save space in your aisle. This space-saving feature makes sliding doors especially a perfect choice for busier, larger facilities.
Our sliding stall fronts can be dressed up with brass accents, arches, and yokes. They can also be simple and functional with many feed and water options. Our sliding stall fronts are custom built to look, feel, and operate to your needs.

At American Stalls, we guarantee that your stabling equipment is elegant and built to last. That is why all of our products use pre-galvanized steel. This steel ensures that your investment is well protected from the rigors of any barn environment. We take pride in our products' beautiful finishes. Our team will help you choose a finish that is the most appropriate for your needs and geography. Our finishes include:
Hot dip galvanizing will provide the best protection from rust. This process creates a thick, scratch-resistant and virtually rustproof coating. We first completely weld and cleans our products. The entire product is then submerged into a bath of molten zinc. This zinc bonds to the steel to create several layers of zinc iron alloy. This creates the easy-identifiable crystallized pattern that covers the surface.
Powder coasting is superior to all other forms of paint application when it comes to stalls – leading to the smoothest, most uniform finish. Before coating, we ensure that our steel is grind down to ensure a smooth, consistent finish. This coating forms a smooth protective “skin” over the equipment’s steel.
All American Stalls horse stall equipment is finished with the industry's leading TGIC Polyester Systems 9000 Series. Our powder coat products have the broadest formulating range in color and gloss, and many will meet or exceed AAMA 2603 performance requirements.
The work horse of the industry, the 9000 series is often used in heavy-duty construction equipment. It provides excellent flexibility, impact resistance, and application properties. Typical uses include aluminum extrusions, premium agricultural equipment, and heavy duty machinery and equipment.

In any horse barn, we emphasize the need for proper lighting. We build our exterior doors to ensure ample natural sunlight enters your barn. This helps keep your barn healthy and well lit.
In addition to natural sunlight, our team offers the highest-quality exterior and interior lighting for your barn. Our approach to lighting is similar to our approach to any of our stabling equipment.
Each light fixture should be an elegant addition to your barn's aisle and exterior facade. Inspired by early 20th century lighting, we ’ ve taken classic designs and updated them with modern finishes and options. Each lamp is truly an art piece.
Last but not least, each light fixture should be exceptionally durable. Our lighting uses sustainable, 100% American metals including steel, copper, and brass. We then use the same high-quality finishes to ensure that your barn lighting is elegant and built to last.
First made popular in the mid-1900s, gooseneck light fixtures are an iconic turn-of-the-century style of wall lighting. Known for the bent, swooping shape of their arms, our gooseneck lights provide a unique vintage look reminiscent of the fixtures found on classic farmhouses and barns.
Our gooseneck fixtures and light shades are offered with various mounting options, sizes, and finishes. Shades vary in width, height, color, and finish to match or contrast with the gooseneck arm, depending on individual preferences. An American Stalls Project Manager can assist with customized options.
Cord hung lights deliver a timeless aesthetic to any barn's center aisle or tack room. To create this iconic look, a shade hangs from the ceiling with help from a stylish cord. Pendant lights can function as an eye-catching focal point or can assume a background role.
Along with these aesthetic benefits, cord hung pendants can also perform more practical applications. These fixtures provide the perfect touches of illumination in tack rooms and client lounges. In large aisles, hanging pendant lights supply general illumination, creating warm, welcoming spaces for riders. An American Stalls Project Manager can assist with customized options.
Wall sconce lights typically have compact mountings that keep the fixture close to the wall or mounting surface. This low-profile design makes wall lamps suitable for narrow or tight spaces like barn tack rooms, breezeways, feed rooms, and barn offices. Wall sconces are also adaptable as accent lighting in larger aisles.
With dozens of customization options to choose from including finish color, mounting styles, LED options, and add-ons like wire cages and cast guard and glass, your wall sconce can be hand-crafted to complement most any décor or space. An American Stalls Project Manager can assist with customized options.
