AMEROPA – INTERNATIONAL CHAMBER MUSIC FESTIVAL AND COURSES Ameropa offers, to music students as well as to professional and amateur musicians, intensive chamber music study. All registered students will par ticipate in chamber music rehearsals and coaching, master classes and lectures. Concer ts are performed at different locations both in Prague and in the surrounding historic cities – par ticipants have the privilege of performing in some of the most celebrated concer t halls of the Czech Republic. AMEROPA SOLO MASTERCLASSES As the most impor tant component of individual development, Ameropa offers a week of solo masterclasses for all “Ameropa instruments”. The solo masterclass is held in Brandýs nad Labem, 20 km nor th-east from the city of Prague, easily reached by Prague’s public transpor t. The solo week will be opened by a faculty concer t, and closed by three concer ts of par ticipants. AMEROPA YOUTH PROGRAM At the Chamber Music Festival in Prague, Ameropa offers a special program for young musicians under the age of 15 years. This program aims to promote musical, cultural and social relationships among youth from different countries, even if they have no previous chamber music experience. In addition to the regular Ameropa chamber music schedule, the Prague Youth Program students will par ticipate in age-related educational, recreational, and social activities. AMEROPA INTENSIVE PROGRAM Ameropa Intensive Program is designed for professional track performance students who wish to work ver y intensively. Pre-formed ensembles are given the oppor tunity of mentor-ship with working professional chamber musicians, allowing them to develop and excel as an ensemble. Ameropa Intensive Program Groups will be offered longer coaching sessions each work day, and they will be expected to find ample rehearsal time daily plus individual practice. COMPOSER-PERFORMERS PROGRAM The Ameropa Composition Course is designed for Ameropa Chamber Music par ticipants who are interested in composing. Composition par ticipants will enjoy a daily individual composition class as well as workshops and master classes with experienced composers, to discuss ideas, styles and compositional techniques such as instrumentation. The best chamber music works should be studied by Ameropa par ticipants and/or faculty ensembles and will be performed in some of Ameropa concer ts. AMEROPA INTERNATIONAL CONCERTANTE COMPETITION The Concer tante Competition, featuring concer ti for two or more soloists with chamber or symphonic orchestra, helps young ar tists excel on the threshold of their careers. PASSIVE PARTICIPATION Ameropa offers the oppor tunity to par ticipate in all Ameropa programs, without active playing and enjoying half board and hotel accommodation.
