HOW DOES THE SUCCESS LOOK LIKE?
O
nce arrived in Canada, Toronto I had found the surprising fact – people do not dress up, they prefer comfort than beauty. For me, Russian born girl, mostly that looks unacceptably. After all in the West it is the image of Russian beauty that is strongly associated with heels shoes. Russians, particularly in big cities, love to dress up; moreover, they think they have to, aiming to get better jobs what is really hard to do over there. So the truth is that to look good does not mean big expenses. However, later on I noticed another thing in Toronto: those who work in high positions, let’s say, in good companies of downtown, do dress up too. Women walk in snickers, but (!) they carry stilettos in their purses! So why do they do that? Comparing women’s look “out of the work” and “at work” there is a different attitude they want to achieve. I am sure it is a hint on a rule of success. Or how the success looks like. So let’s discover with our magazine if the dress goes after reaching the success or before it, what is the hidden purpose of clothes and how to make it work for you. We do not avoid men - this applies to them too!

HOW YOUR LOOK CAN INFLUENCE YOUR CAREER Success in any type of business depends on the competence of the person, his/her professionalism, hard work and many other factors. Some of them affect the achievement of the desired result directly – expertise, experience. However, indirect factors also take a part in the success. Thus the appearance of a person is exactly the factor that determines the efficiency of business relationships, success in business contacts, creating the necessary working environment and affects the image of the person.

ppearance is a business card of the person. Every self-respecting woman or man consider as their duty taking care of own appearance, certainly care about the impression they make on people around. This is absolutely true and correct, because there are certain criteria that occurs score of appearance with. So for the successful promotion it is necessary to create a certain image that corresponds to the position that a person occupies in society. Otherwise, no matter how qualified and experienced an employee is, she or he will not be able to move in higher position. How come? Because a person in society should take the laws adopted in this society. And take care of her/ his image – it is one of those rules that guarantee success. Reading a book of Jack Canfield “Rules for success”, I came across an interesting story about a bank employee. There was a boy in a New York bank, he was working as the ordinary manager, but unlike the others, he dressed like a director. All managers were in plain worn shirts, but he was in a good suit. However, more than anything, he did not stand out, worked exactly the same way as the others. A year later, he became the general manager, after a further 2 years he was appointed as director of the bank. So why? He dressed and behaved as a di-
rector. In order to learn how to behave correctly in this environment, you have to be confident, whereas confidence is largely dependent on your appearance. HOW TO DRESS? Dress like the one who you want to be, not as one who you are. Everything including your manner to dress should have a purpose. Since you have to wear clothes, make sure that it provides
that way you can choose the correct model of behavior. For a long time numerous studies have been conducting on the effect on people’s clothing and appearance of the interlocutor. All the results show that sloppy appearance, not suitable clothing to some strictly defined cases, cause others to dislike a particular person. Subconsciously assessing the person or employee people get the opinion that his mental and

Most people seeking to make a wonderful career are guided by the opinions and actions of others, those who have managed to achieve success in the business arena. Of course, this is the most sensible approach, because
business abilities are on the same low level as well as his appearance. In addition, a negative impression compounded by the fact that others can not understand how self-respecting person can give so little attention to the appearance. In this case, it seems that the person belongs to him with disdain, and if so, of course, others will treat him the same way. It is obviously that in addition to clothes the important part for creating the required image is demeanor including even seemingly insignificant little things, such as gestures, movement |9
and voice. Each of it can be interpreted as a sign of weakness, uncertainty or even disrespectful to others. Image of a business and successful man is primarily self-confidence, confidence in own best qualities and virtues. HOW TO “MAKE” THE IMAGE WORK? The path to business success is a strict adherence of your business image to your profession. Sometimes for a woman it is more difficult to form the business image than for a man. The color scheme of woman’s business style should not exceed 4 colors. Two or three colours is considered the best decision, if there are fore colours then two of them should be similar in tone. Defining the nature of clothing it is necessary to be guided by basic principles: tidiness, neatness, conservatism, restraint, officiality, traditional nature. According to this, if you do not have serious attitude to how you look and what you wear, it is time to reconsider your views on this important point and change your appearance. Find your own style that reflects your personality, fits your status and business environment and conveys a sense of professionalism, reliability and gloss. Try it and see the difference!
