BURNING MAN PAVILION
Burning Man pavilion is for the Burning Man Festival. It explores the parametric generative approach in Grasshopper.
It is visualized through Bezier curve generated components, articulating to mesh by playing with various coding. The organic form structure has different porosity, allowing dynamic spatial experiences.

Location Melbourne, Australia
March-June 2022
Group work
Wave woods is an acoustic furniture made from mycelium. The work is collaborated with KFive, a melbourne based firm. It was inspired by natural elements such as branches of corals and tree trunks. Their textures mimic waves of water and create a soft, flexible, and vibrant atmosphere. We designed three different heights of modular and one base for clients making their own sets. Wave wood can be used as acoustic furniture, space dividers, decorations, vases, etc. As an item of furniture, Wave Wood provides many potential functions to customers.
Materials: mycelium, wasted paper tube, pvc pipe, wood canvas

SCENT OF EARTH
The boundary between indoor and outdoor is often too rigid, interior space cuts off the connection between nature and our life.
"SCENT OF EARTH" is a handcraft installation that explores soil scent producing mechanisms. The involved sensory experience blurs the boundary through introducing the natural atmosphere into our interior living space and recalling a specific memory and emotion.
MEMORY NECKPIECE & PACIFY ARMS
"Pacify Arms" and “Memory Neckpiece" have emerged as a response to this insight, they focus on the human hugging experience and aim to simulate the sensation of touch
"Pacify Arm" activates the hugging experiences with users' imagination and related gestures. This device aims to help out people living in loneliness in response to the touch crisis. How can technology and material reconnect tactility and human emotion bonds?
"Memory Neckpiece" The device is inspired by the specific memory with my dad. Furry cotton symbolizes human hair, and hard blush is the beard. Two builds up contrast but express comfort commonly
It is is filled with native wet soil, through the evaporation of water from humidifier, it bring the moisture to the soil. The scent is vaporising and unleashed to the air in the space. Visitors are invited to smell, experience and inhale the breathable the earth celebrate the transient, perceptual but dynamic moment.
