Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association
APRA is a global association with more than 2,000 member companies. These companies earn revenues of approximately 25 billion euros. The Association’s objective is to promote the general business interests of the remanufacturing industry and foster the spirit of recycling for a better environment. It also provides members with forums, exhibitions and workshops to interact and consult with each other on issues affecting the entire industry. Remanufacturing conserves up to 85% material and energy compared to the production of new parts. Worldwide material savings by remanufacturing: saves millions of tons of natural raw material each year. Remanufactured automotive parts allow you to save money, because customarily the price is approximately only 60% of a new unit.
International Federation of Engine Remanufacturers and Rebuilders
FIRM is the European umbrella organization representing the interests of engine remanufacturers and rebuilders. 10 national trade associations representing more than 1000 engine remanufacturers and rebuilders are members of FIRM Based in Brussels, FIRM is a recognized discussion partner of the European Institutions, fellow associations across the world (AERA, APRA, NZERA etc.) and other international & European trade federations of automotive sectors. FIRM is a founding member of the World Engine Remanufacturing Council (WERC) and is a member of the AFCAR Alliance and participates to the Right to Repair Campaign Alliance in Europe (R2RC).
