What is going on today in Mexico? Today it will be approved the new law: Ley General de Movilidad y Seguridad Vial (LGMySV) (General Law of Mobility and Road Safety)

This legal instrument is a great step to guarantee the Right to Mobility safeguarded in article 4 of the Mexican Constitution, and to avoid deaths and serious injuries as a result of traffic accidents. To this end, the LGMySV is based on a Safe System approach that establishes co-responsibilities for all the people involved in mobility: users, those who design the streets, those who implement laws and regulations, those who monitor compliance and those who manufacture vehicles, understanding that the error is human, but we can act preventively to avoid fatal consequences, protecting the lives of all users of the streets and highways.
