Hey there Division 7B, I hope you guys had a great Thanksgiving feast on the 22nd because I know I did! I love being around my love ones and just be thankful for everything in my life. Well right now, I am so thankful for a good life, happy family, great friends and who could forget about Key Club? Key Club literally changed my life a/er I became a Lieutenant Governor as I became more focus into what I was doing and my passion for services dras2cally increased! I just love coming to all the events that Key Club offers like Fall Rally, Kiwanis Family Conference and District Conven2on!! I became less shy talking to people and public speaking isn’t my worst fear anymore! I am very glad and thankful that I had the chance to be where I am today! With that being said, I hope you guys had a great Thanksgiving day and I will talk to you all very soon!

KIWANS FAMILY RECAP

I would like to thanks those who a?ended the Kiwanis Family Conference! It really was a weekend fun of mo2va2on, leadership and friendship. The most wonderful thing about this event is that you get to know more about the Kiwanis Branch and how they all relates to each other. It was amazing to meet people from all across the United States who have the same passion as you. This was the place where I learned that I truly belong in Key Club. I can’t wait to come back next year as a Circle K member.

Christmas for Children for Boys and Girls Homes I hope you all s2ll remember the Carolinas District Project which has been Boys and Girls Home at Lake Waccamaw, North Carolina since 1981. This is the place were they provide care for abused, neglected and dependent children on its campus, in foster homes (located in 13 southeastern North Carolina countries )and in adop2ve homes. On the campus at Lake Waccamaw, children ages 9 to 18 are served in nice co?ages, six that serve boys and three for girls. This Christmas, I want our division to take our assistance to another level as we try to make Christmas something special for all of the children that live at the Boys and Girls Home so that they can also celebrate this special holiday with joys! For many of them, the gi/s they receive through the home are the only ones they will get, and for some, it is the only 2me they have ever received a Christmas gi/. You can imagine how touching it is to see the children open their gi/s at Christmas and see the joy on their faces. It is meaningful to hear a child say, “No one has ever done this for me before. We can make Christmas more memorable for these children. Please send in your contribu2ons from clubs, founda2ons, businesses or personal funds, to be received by December 10, 2012. Checks should be made to Boys and Girls Homes, Inc., and are tax deduc2ble dona2ons. Any amount is surely appreciated, but if you have been blessed with the ability to give more please consider doing so. Mail the checks to Sco? Johnson (2008 Pinecrest Drive Greenville, NC 27858).

President’s Page DUES are due on December 1, 2012! President, please make sure you have this down to your club agenda!

How To submit my club’s dues? Step-by-step instructions: 1. Go to www.keyclub.org/MUC to access the Membership Update Center. 2. Click "Register/Reset Password." All clubs should click on this link, regardless of whether or not they have paid dues in previous years or not. 3. You'll be prompted to enter an email address. If the faculty advisor who paid dues last year is still your faculty advisor, then enter his email address. He should receive a confirmation email informing him that his email address has been recognized and providing him with a unique hyperlink which will allow him to set his own, new password to access the Membership Update Center whenever he'd like. 4. If you have a new faculty advisor or your faculty advisor's email has been rejected, then you will need to email memberservices@kiwanis.org with a request to update your club's faculty advisor contact information before you can set yourself a password and get into the system. Once your information is updated, then you should be able to go through the process detailed in step 3. 5. After you have set a new password for your club, then you will be able to log into the Membership Update Center in future years using your advisor's email address and your personal password. Once you get into the system, it is much improved from previous years and should be fairly self-explanatory. Please feel free to contact me for future assistances!
