‘Service Beyond the Contract’

A

Article by Jaci Gorrell

s a college student years ago, Russ Flueckiger did not intend to pursue a career in insurance. In fact, Russ completed college as an education major at Indiana Central College. “When I graduated from college, I was going to be teacher and a coach,” Russ recalls. “Back in the day, you didn’t do your student teaching until the very last semester of school. “I did my student teaching at Franklin Central in Indianapolis—a nice, suburban school—but, I hated it. Everybody was great to me, but I just didn’t like teaching. I thought, ‘This is not going to be fun.’ “I had always sort of wanted to be a superintendent, but you had to

be a teacher and work your way up. I thought, ‘I’m just not going to do this.’ “But, that’s what I had planned for all of my life.” After applying and interviewing for several teaching positions in Indianapolis, Russ—still wary about taking on a career in education—was notified that he was one of two final candidates for a job. “The principal called me and said, ‘Well, we’ve made our decision.’ “I said, ‘Before you go any further, I’m going to withdraw my name.’” Russ adds, “I don’t know if I ever got the job or not!” Though he chose not to enter education, Russ’s father-in-law, JUNE 2016 | wabashvalleyliving.com | 5

Herman J. Bixler, saw in him the potential for insurance work. “Herman asked if I’d be interested in coming into the insurance business. It wasn’t really something that I had thought about that much; however, there were a couple things about it that appealed to me. “About that same time, my dad, who had worked at Dunbar furniture for years, was laid off. That was a significant event in my life. “I thought, ‘You know, I don’t really like that.’ With insurance, it’s like we have two thousand different bosses, you might say, and they can hire and fire us anytime they want. But, it’s a lot more stable.

“The other thing I liked about the field of insurance is that we are helping people.” After Russ agreed to join his father-in-law at Bixler Insurance, Herman arranged for training with the Indiana Insurance Company based out of Indianapolis. “I went to work there and was basically on a training program,” Russ says. “I worked in every department of the company—perhaps for two weeks, a month, or however long they thought I needed—until I went through the whole company. It was a great experience; I learned a lot about relationships with companies, how to deal with them, and more.”

“My wife Susan and I moved back to the area in 1975, and I started working with Herman. At that time, we had an office in Geneva (run by Herman) and an office in Berne (run by Herman’s brother, Melvin). “After working here for several years, I knew that this was what I wanted to do. I’ve been here now since 1975, so that’s 41 years!” Russ laughs, “Where does time go?” Since Russ joined the agency, Bixler Insurance has added new locations, in Portland and Decatur, and has welcomed Matt Lehman, Doug Nelson, and Dustin Cressman as owners in the company. Russ’s son, Andrew, has recently joined Bixler Insurance and will also become an owner in the agency later this summer. Though Bixler Insurance has seen many changes throughout the years, the one thing that has remained the same is their motto: Service beyond the contract. Russ explains, “That’s the motto we’ve had for 60 years, and that’s what we try to do. “When somebody has a problem, we’re there when they need us. We try to make sure that people have

the right insurance for whatever happens in the future. We do whatever we have to do, and when people have claims, we try to give a physical presence there. “In all, we try to be ‘hands-on’ and guide people through the storm, so to speak.” Today, as the agency’s president, Russ’s philosophy with Bixler Insurance is one of planning for the future. “Somebody told me a long time ago, ‘In business, you can’t stay the same. Either you’re going forward, or you’re going backward.’ “That’s very true. There’s constant pressure to always go forward, and I take it as a positive thing because there’s always that incentive to try to treat everybody well. “We’re trying to position ourselves to continue Bixler Insurance into the future as a local business,” Russ states. “Hopefully Andrew and Dustin can continue it and let me hang around and see what happens!” Following in the footsteps of his father-in-law, Russ holds firm that in past, present, and future changes, the staff of Bixler Insurance has, and will continue to

Article by Beth Steury

t’s been an awesome first year for Premier Golf of Decatur. “This was an idea my wife and I have had for a decade,” says Jason Krol. He and his wife Niki opened the virtual golf business along busy US Hwy 27 in Decatur, Indiana in midAugust of 2015. Jason explains, “I started playing on indoor simulators about 12 years ago in Fort Wayne. I always thought Decatur could use something like this.” Previously a sales rep for a Fort Wayne steel company, Jason went all out with the launch of the indoor simulator business last year when “everything just came together.” After actively looking for years for a building, the pieces fell into place, as far as a great location and size of the facility.

Upon leasing a facility in Decatur that once housed RadioShack, Jason replaced the fluorescent lighting with track lighting and improved the plumbing in the kitchenette area. He built enclosures prior to the arrival of a TruGolf crew from Salt Lake City, who spent a week installing the floor sensors, the computers, the screens and the projectors. For seven months, Jason has operated Premier Golf of Decatur seven days a week. He has accommodated weekday tee times from 2 p.m. until as late as necessary, sometimes well after midnight. The facility has been open on weekends from 10 a.m. to, again, as late as necessary to accommodate customers.

The opportunity to work on one’s golf game year-round is what appeals to local golfers who’ve enthusiastically supported the new business. Such an opportunity is especially welcome in a climate where golf courses must close because of wintryBOWL weather. 1 GAME

“Anything you can do to improve your game, especially in the winter,” is a plus, says Jason. Simulation is a good learning tool because there’s so much feedback offered with each stroke, asNclub 1306such US 27 | Berne, IN head speed, club face angle, and swing path. The simulator provides a fly-by of the entire course before the game gets underway. The golfer hits a real golf ball into the projection screen with his own clubs. Sensor boards on the floor collect data for every stroke. Each of Premier Golf’s two simulators offer 88 different golf courses, along with a chipping and putting area, a driving range, and more than 40 modes of play. People often choose the PGA courses and find them to be quite challenging. Jason offers a list of suggested courses for beginners. The majority of the courses are replicas of actual, well-known courses in locations that most people never get to visit in person, while a few are fantasy courses. Several are designed by Robert Trent Jones, who has a reputation for creating tough courses. According to Jason, the cost for simulated play is “$25 an 10

hour,” regardless of the number of players. “If four people come in and only play for an hour, it’s $25 for that hour,” he explains. “It takes the average golfer about an hour to play 18 holes here.” Each simulator allows up to eight golfers at a time. “I reached out to all the schools in the surrounding area,” Jason adds. “Bellmont brought their team in twice a week for a few weeks before the season started. I offer any student golfer a package deal that results in a 40% discount.” Premier Golf of Decatur hosted two golf leagues this past fall and winter at a cost of $25 per player per week. From September through December, nearly two dozen teams participated, and twenty teams signed up for January through April. “We were very pleased with the turn out,” Jason reports. Every week, he chose a different course for the leagues to play. As long as each team scheduled a tee time, they could come in anytime during the week and post their score. Jason is anxious to launch the second season of leagues this fall and hopes to expand to 30 teams for each session. TruGolf, the company that manufactures the software and equipment, expects to launch an update this summer—a “cloud” system that will track weekly scores and allow golfers to compete in worldwide events with cash prizes. “I’m looking forward to it,” says Jason.

In keeping with the setting, golfcourse style food is served—hot dogs, pulled pork sandwiches, candy, pretzels, chips, and beverages, including beer and wine. The building space adjacent to the simulation area became available in January. Since then, the Krols have been remodeling the adjoining area to house a beer and wine bar in a lounge-type setting. The well-lit space will have a bar, as well as comfy couches and chairs. Jason and Niki plan to expand the menu to include restaurant-style appetizers. The space will provide a nice, relaxed setting for the wives of the league players, as well as accommodate bridal showers, bachelorette parties and other gatherings. Look for the wine bar to open in early June, with hours Thursday through Saturday each week. The golf simulator area is also available for hosting events such as bachelor parties, birthday parties and other celebratory occasions.

Since early April, when the second round of leagues ended, Premier Golf of Decatur has operated on an appointment-only basis, as golfers are back on local golf courses now. “I tell everyone to call ahead and schedule a tee time,” Jason advises. When asked about goals for the future, Jason is quick to respond, “Having my own facility somewhere, a building with one or two more simulators, an actual bar/ restaurant area. A bigger space.” Both he and Niki cook and would welcome the opportunity for a larger menu. Check out the Premier Golf of Decatur Facebook page for details about the opening of the wine bar, as well as all the latest news and information for Adams County’s only simulated golf business. A former marine, Jason offers a 10% discount to all veterans.

Salvaging a Career Opportunity Article by Jim Kirkwood

W

illiams Towing & Transportation, LLC is a brandnew business, established by Nathan Williams just last August. He operates in the vehicle-moving company from Redkey, Indiana. The 20-something entrepreneur had been working for Copart in Hartford City, Indiana when he saw an opportunity. Copart, an online auction business dealing in car parts, is constantly in the market for wrecked cars and employs smaller contractors who can safely and competently pick up these vehicles and deliver them to and from a Copart branch. Enthusiastic about his new venture, Nathan says, “I saw the opportunity. Ever since I can remember, I’ve always wanted to work for myself.”

Nathan grew up just outside of Albany, Indiana. He and his wife, Layla, have a beautiful son, Gabriel, who was born last November. Their country home in rural Redkey serves also as their office, while the barn and other outbuildings provide shelter for some goats. The homestead also serves as the base for Layla’s business, the Golden Retriever Ranch. At the time of our interview, Layla was raising two litters of beautiful young Golden Retriever puppies. Obviously, Nathan and Layla are both young entrepreneurs, very much in love with the lives they are leading. Nathan took a chance and purchased some towing/hauling equipment to help fill the transport JUNE 2016 | wabashvalleyliving.com | 13

need for Copart. This writer was impressed by Nathan’s entrepreneurial venture, particularly because I had only lately become aware of the large, professional, online auto parts auction business. You might have read about Williams Auto Parts of Portland, Indiana in a recent edition of Wabash Valley Living Magazine. As I researched information for that article, I was quite astounded to find that the old auto junkyards of my teen-age years have been replaced by clean, neat, wellordered web sites, supplied by neat, well-ordered stores. For this feature story, I learned about the first step in the process. Tracing the path of the demise of an expensive, well-maintained vehicle from the site of a wreck or other roadside termination to its final destination is not particularly complicated. It involves the insurance company, or the owner, contacting a business such as Williams Auto Parts or Copart. That business either picks up the vehicle with their own equipment or calls for a towing/hauling service.

That’s where Williams Towing & Transportation comes in. Nathan explains, “I tow cars, not only for Copart, but I could tow your car, if you called me. Some cars are transported on my ’97 International Slide-back wrecker from shop to shop—not really towed, so that is why ‘Transportation’ is in the name of my business.” Although Rocky Williams of Williams Auto Parts and Nathan Williams are not related, they are acquainted. Nathan has towed or transported vehicles from Copart to Williams Auto Parts in the past few months. Much, if not most, of Nathan’s work comes from the vehicles he tows and transports for Copart, which is billed as the “world’s largest online auto auction.” It was formed in 1982 by Willis Johnson. The origins of that business tell a story that is remarkably similar to the path that Nathan Williams is entering. Johnson’s story (Junk to Gold), says Amazon.com, “is about how he thinks, and shows his capacity to be decisive. It is a story of how Copart has grown from

one junkyard to a $4.5 billion international, high-tech inspired auto auction company.” One reviewer of the book on Johnson says, “It was great to read about someone who made a fortune from humble beginnings. His story was well written by a man with faith in God.” These words just as easily describe Nathan Williams. Not that Nathan aspires to building an empire. His goal is to simply make a living doing what he likes to do. “One thing I really like about this job,” says Nathan, “is that I like a challenge, and sometimes you will get yourself into a challenging situation.” As with any new business, Nathan’s first tasks were to develop a business plan. “I tried to do everything myself at first, but I found I needed an accountant, so I went to Dunkirk to an accountant over there.” One of his first challenges was to extract a car from inside of a

barn that had burned down. “There was a bunch of sheet metal from the roof, and a large amount of debris on top of and surrounding the car,” he recalls. “I made a bid on it, and they liked the bid, so they had me dig the car out of there.” Nathan modestly admits, “It took a bit of manual labor.” So, did another vehicle. “One I picked up in Avilla,” says Nathan. “They said that it posed a challenge because it was nose-first in a 12foot ditch. That also took a bit of hard work.” While most of his business comes from the vehicles he hauls for Copart, in Nathan’s work there, he made contact with other automotive dealers. “When I left Copart to be on my own,” he explains, “some of them tracked me down, and I have worked with them.” Nathan’s adeptness for this business is shown by his ability to combine hauling trips. He explains, “If I go to pick up a car from, say, 16

Fort Wayne, I can take two cars up with me to take to customers in that area.” Those customers are typically used car lots and body shops, and “just about anybody who might repair a car that I can pick up.” These days, Nathan is anticipating the installation of his fully functioning twin-line wrecker bed on a chassis. That piece of equipment will prove a very useful tool for pulling pick-up trucks out of 12-foot ditches. And, it will, perhaps, reduce some of the challenges that make his work life a bit too exciting.

HOLESHOT ACCESSORIES

Tested and Proven for Your Vehicle

H

Article by Dee Fisher

ave you ever seen an advertisement that made you think, “I wonder if that really works the way they say it does?” After a moment of contemplation, you shrug your shoulders and move on, loathe to spend any hard-earned money on something unproven. Browsing at your favorite shop, you can run into the same conundrum. Unless you know someone who has bought that particular product, or talk to someone who has successfully used it, you are unlikely to make the purchase. However, if you go to Holeshot Accessories in Willshire, you won’t need to seek out a testimonial. Shop owner Ryan Hole tests the products he sells—accessories for cars, trucks, ATVs, and

motorcycles—on his own vehicles before he ever makes them available in the shop. Ryan vows, “We will not sell junk.” Born and raised in Celina, Ohio, Ryan has been interested in vehicles of all kinds since his boyhood, when he built and raced go carts with his father. As he grew up and his vehicles got larger and more expensive, he became more and more fanatical about keeping them clean. “After all,” he explains, “things retain more value if they are not rusty or chipped. I have a 1990 pickup truck with absolutely no rust on it!” Years ago, Ryan began testing cleaning products for companies like Voodoo Ride (who offer

“supernatural car care for your ride”). Once he found that the products that did what their developers promised, he became an ardent spokesman for the product and the company. “I started out ‘paying for my hobby’ with some products I had tested displayed in a room in front of DJ’s Auto Repair in Rockford,” Ryan recalls. Eventually, his inventory outgrew the space he had there. “The Butler building in Willshire became available at about the same time we needed more room. We purchased it, gutted the space, rewired it, put in a new ceiling, and renovated the interior.” Holeshot Accessories was born in 2008. Today, the shop boasts a comfortable display/ordering room, with many of the products immediately available for purchase. If you don’t see what you want on display, Ryan offers an 1100-page catalog to browse through. And, there’s always an employee ready to help you find what you need. “Most of our sales are aftermarket truck parts and enhancements,” Ryan says. “Suspension kits, wheels, tires and tire packages, tonneaus, nerf bars, and hitches are what we sell most. We offer a warranty through the shop that matches or beats the warranty you get from the company your product comes from.” Many of the products you can buy at Holeshot Accessories are available on the internet, but Ryan, recognizing this, 27

offers more than you can possibly get online. “Our pricing will match or beat internet pricing,” he explains. “We don’t run many sales because our pricing is so much lower than you can find anywhere else. If you have the time to wait, we will quickly research your product online and match or beat the cheapest price we can find while you wait. In essence, we do your research for you!” The products Ryan promotes and sells are from recognized companies, such as Access Tonneaus, Trail FX, B & W Hitches, and Blue Ox. When talking about

some of his products, Ryan lights up with excitement. “One company, Llumar Window Films, is accredited by the American Cancer Society because their window tints actually filter out harmful rays from the sun that are proven to cause skin cancer. We are proud to be their only factory installer within a 50-mile radius!” Motorcyclists are often interested in adding to their rides, and Holeshot Accessories does its best to help. “Among other things, we have a cutting-edge oil filter for motorcycles, completely made of metal,” Ryan says.

“When it’s time to change your oil, you remove the filter, dip it in water that has a few drops of Dawn dish washing soap in it, and swish it around. Once you rinse it and dry it, it’s ready to go back into the engine. “You can do this again and again, eliminating the need for buying expensive one-time use oil filters.” Ryan takes advantage of opportunities to attend large technology shows on the east and west coasts. “Here in the Heartland,” he explains, “we are usually about two years behind the new technology. “So, by attending these shows, I can research the ‘best and brightest’ of what’s out there and offer it first in our area. In fact, I have many customers who come by on a regular basis and ask me, ‘What have you got that’s new?’”

PLEASANT MILLS LUMBER OUTLET

Odds & Ends for Your Project or Craft

S

Article by Beth Steury

ince the opening of Pleasant Mills Lumber Outlet on US Highway 33 last August, every day is an adventure for Decatur, Indiana resident Jackie Alberding. “Me?” she laughs. “I’m the girl who says, ‘You can’t throw that away!’ “My dad was a carpenter,” she continues. “My brothers are awesome carpenters. My husband’s brother owns Alberding Woodworking, and my husband did woodworking. It was all around me.” Jackie’s brothers happen to be the owners of Eckhart Woodworking, which opened in 1989, operating from a garage. The business later moved to a warehouse-style building in Pleasant Mills. When the woodworking manufacturer

relocated to the former Sprinkler building in Monroe, Indiana, the Pleasant Mills location became a storage warehouse. Eckhart Woodworking serves some of the biggest names in the recreational vehicle manufacturing industry and other industries, as well. For years, items returned or not needed by Eckhart Woodworking customers found their way to the huge warehouse in Pleasant Mills. Jackie’s brothers had no plans for the various wood pieces, most designed specifically for use in the interior of RVs. Whether due to model changes, discontinued designs, simply being extra or leftover, the wood items were no longer wanted. The pieces JUNE 2016 | wabashvalleyliving.com | 33

continued to accumulate over the years. With the blessings of all of her mentors, Jackie dove in as general manager of a business she had envisioned for years. It was quite a departure from her position in the kitchen at Adams Memorial Hospital where she had worked for 14 years. “You couldn’t walk through here before I came on the scene,” remembers Jackie. She took on the task of building shelving and other organizational structures to house and display the huge variety of pieces at the new business, Pleasant Mills Lumber Outlet. While there are literally dozens and dozens of unique items—too many to list—on display at the outlet, some of the most popular items are: paneling, cabinet doors, drawer fronts, 9-ply plywood, ¼-inch plywood, interior doors, frames, shelving and trim, pillars, cutting boards, glass cabinet knobs and a variety of screws. Most pieces are available at a drastically reduced cost versus the retail price.

“We would like to specialize in trim for houses,” Jackie shares, stating that large orders of unfinished trim can then be finished by Eckhart Woodworking. Trim can also be ordered through the Lumber Outlet to be manufactured at Eckhart. The outlet offers a veritable treasure trove to those into repurposing and woodworking enthusiasts, as well as crafters, those remodeling or building a home, and anyone with a creative bent. Many from the community putter around Pleasant Mills Lumber Outlet, proud of this new addition to the small community and anxious to see what’s new. One or two pallets of wood pieces arrive each day to be sorted and added to the outlet’s inventory. And, another warehouse behind the current facility is “packed and waiting to be sorted.” Jackie says, “To me, it’s fun.” She has always been interested in woodworking, and the ideas seem to flow faster than she can harness them. “I look at everything as a project—even broken stuff.”

While organizing and sorting have taken up the majority of her time since opening Pleasant Mills Lumber Outlet, Jackie is itching to dig deeper into creating. The unique nature of many of the wood pieces provides for an unlimited source of ideas. She recently fashioned both large and small flower boxes from wood pieces that many folks would have hauled away as trash. Jackie has big plans for the future of the huge space. “We want to have an area for cutting wood. We want to fix up the front offices and the break room so we can sell refurbished items that we make and that other locals make, as well.” “I love the people that come in. About 70% of my customers are from Ohio.” A passerby from Toledo once stopped to peruse the outlet’s offering. He later returned to make a purchase. Some folks have already become “regulars,” stopping by frequently to check out the inventory. Jackie’s sister, Elaine Hall, and Pleasant Mills’ own fellow “repurposer,” Micah Girod, share Jackie’s vision and are one hundredpercent behind her efforts. Each of them willingly lend their creative aspirations to the growing list of creations they would like to see fashioned from the extensive, unique inventory. One of the endless possibilities they hope to make a reality is the designing of items to be used in historical re-enactment 36

events. A friend of Jackie’s has asked her to design and make hat boxes representative of those used in Civil War days. Jackie is thrilled when customers bring in their unique creations from the pieces they purchased at the outlet. Their enthusiasm fuels her enthusiasm and is further proof the decision to launch Pleasant Mills Lumber Outlet was, indeed, a great idea.

BLOOMIN’ BREWTIQUE

Devoted to the Visual— and Culinary—Arts

rive by the Bloomin’ BREWtique, and you might miss it. But, tucked into downtown Ossian’s brick façade, between the two stoplights and caddy-corner from the First Presbyterian Church, sits a wonderful little gem. Opened in April of this year, this hub of activity replaced a quieter floral shop. Driven by a passion for arts, Sarah Thompson and Carlos Marcano, had dreamed about owning an arts gallery or coffee shop in Northern Wells County for the last two years. Together for eight years, the couple finally got their chance when the former Bloomin’ Boutique went up for sale. “We finalized the sale in January of this year,” Carlos says. “When we heard the old floral shop was up for sale, we seized the opportunity.”

Sarah, a professional potter by trade, also owns a porcelain pottery shop, known as Sarahmics, and is a leader in the local arts movement. Last year, she teamed with artisan friends to start the Rural Artist’s Studio Tour in Wells County, which featured her pottery shop. Sarah’s love of the arts fits well with Carlos’ entrepreneurial spirit. Their vision is one-part flower shop, one-part art gallery, and one-part café. Sarah, a native of North Webster, Indiana, is the floral designer. Her creations are like candy for the eye! From corsages to boutonnieres to paper bouquets and grab-and-go vases, Sarah puts tender loving care in her one-of-akind designs.

While Sarah handles the arranging, Carlos does the purchasing. According to Sarah, “He has a taste for flowers with vibrant colors.” Customers constantly rave about the hibiscus, purple aster, and wind poppy pods among the normal roses, carnations, and tulips. Sarah prepares arrangements for a variety of events—from weddings to birthdays to special occasions, such as Easter and Mother’s Day. In addition to its fresh-cut flowers, Bloomin’ BREWtique offers hanging baskets, potted plants, succulent pots and flower bulbs. Knickknacks and artwork line the stores’ shelves and walls, as well. With choices that include stuffed animals, decorative pillows, aromatic candles and more, shoppers can find the perfect gift for the occasion, from a housewarming to the arrival of a new baby. Even though Sarah says “floral design keeps (her) busy,” she still finds time to produce other works of art. Her handmade soaps and pottery pieces are on display and available for purchase at Bloomin’ BREWtique. “After dropping their children off at Ossian Elementary School,” Carlos says, “moms and dads stop here for their morning drink.” The Bloomin’ BREWtique offers lattes, mochas, cappuccinos, chai, lattes and frappes. The couples’ coffee beans are from Utopian Coffee Co., located in Fort Wayne, which are the ‘best fresh-roasted coffee beans from around the world.’ 40

Limited seating, including wooden benches with comfy pillows and a bar with stools, allow a group of friends to meet up or a person to relax with a good book. Outside there are a couple of bistro tables, and with the availability of free Wi-Fi, the location makes a great place for a business meeting or an afternoon work session on a warm, sunny day. Sarah and Carlos serve more than coffee! They are becoming known around town for their wonderful fare. During breakfast, the pair offer a selection of blueberry, raspberry

and vanilla scones. From time to time, they serve raspberry and blueberry muffins. With a grin, Carlos adds, “Lunch has been a hit; we have been picking up steam.” Bloomin’ BREWtiques’ most popular lunch days are Taco Tuesday and Aloha Fridays. Carlos, a native of Hawaii and of Hispanic heritage, helps plan the delicious meals. On Tuesdays, Sarah and Carlos serve tacos with salsa and guacamole. page, diners rave about the delightful green sauce. The tacos are paired with traditional sides, which range from tortilla chips and salsa to Mexican rice. On Fridays, the couple typically serves a variety of Hawaiian delicacies, from Kalua pork sliders topped with a pineapple mango slaw and served on a sweet Hawaiian roll, to teriyaki sliders topped with sweet pickles. Each main dish has been served with a traditional Hawaiian side, such as macaroni salad, sweet fries, and

While Carlos and Sarah, who operate the shop without help, are known for their amazing creativity and great food, they receive the highest praise for their excellent customer service. One customer recently wrote on the store’s Facebook page, “Let me just tell you, I do not know how many other people would have taken time on a Saturday night to respond to a Facebook message for quote on a wedding bouquet. “Seriously, like 3 minutes later, I had a response and a quote. YES, 3 minutes—Sarah is a rock star!” As art aficionados, Carlos and Sarah hope to be big players in Ossian’s revitalization efforts, as well as Wells County’s art scene.
