About Hello! I recieved my architect and urbanist degree from the State University of Campinas in 2018, which included a year of study at The University of Melbourne. My objective in architecture and urbanism is to design smart, sustainable, and delightful environments that educe meaningful experiences in the people who interact with them.

Embaré’s Station 2017

The location of the chosen VLT station is in the vicinity of the Basilica of Santo Antônio do Embaré, in Santos. The results of the survey guided to a slim design program, so it doesn’t conflict with the area existent retailing and services. The project aim to create a complementary space of leisure, also a place that links to both basilica and park, serving from the central square that function as an axis connecting these uses. The project reach its objectives through a belvedere on the top of the station, which offers an unprecedented view of the waterfront through a public equipment and allows the possibility of diverse meetings and activities.

6

As the sea splits as it reaches the beach, the building makes a smooth transition between the waterfront and the urban landscape, through a light structure that refers to seaside constructions. Concerned to preserve the pre-existing visuals: the Church, the sea and to remodel the existing square. The roof is componded of undulations that creates 4 niches of activities called reflection, fun, meeting and contemplation. Each of them was created with levels adequate for its execution. The structural system chosen to better compose the created curves is a CLT formed by main beams and slats that support the upper floor.

Mundi Clinic 2017

The clinic is located in a building at Sao Paulo’s downtown, a dynamic and cosmopolitan place. Thus, the Mundi Clinic brings together the 5 world’s continents in a unique place, in a fun and colourful way, outstanding each continent main character. Its flows are very optimized, guarantying a great wayfinding and experience from both patients and employees by avoiding the flows overlapping and well sectored uses.

10

The clinic’s interior design and layout are results of pre-existing build elements such as shaft, column and windows. To minimize hydraulic problems, the wet rooms were organized near the shaft. Furthermore, the internal walls are aligned alongside the columns axis. The biggest rooms were allocated on the building facade to intend from the windows and get natural light and natural ventilation. Different colours were chosen for each continent to better translate the project’s theme and concept. Each colour picked has 3 variations, a lighter ton, a mid ton, and a darker ton. These colours were chosen because they are joyful and attractive for children.

Delta Building 2017

Located in a famous Campinas’s avenue, the building is inserted in an important economic and road city’s axis. The Delta Building reaches 82 meters high in a 2310 meters square site. The building aims to invigorate the zone throughout all day times by offering diverse purposes for the public. Leisure, finance and health are the core purposes that support the project’s concept. Its program consists in:

14

10 levels of open floor offices Hostel with a capacity to accommodate 240 guests Sports center with a gym, rooms for group activities, and a climbing wall of 10,80 meters high Farms market 2 movie theaters with a capacity of 80 people each Rooftop The building given name is due to the triangle shaped in its implantation and second skin. It represents the ideal orientation that avoids the force of the predominant wind on the building’s structure, valuates the east façade, which receives the morning sun and has the best view to the park, and finally, it makes the best use of its unusual site form.

School and Sports Center 2016

This project’s object of study is Barra Funda, a neighborhood in Sao Paulo. According to a site visit survey, two major mobility barriers have been identified in Barra Funda that threats the mobility in the axis north-south of the chosen area: The Tiete River and the train line. The intervention area boundaries were defined to encompass both barriers, allowing us to create solutions that could be replicated and adapted in other points of enclave. Important infrastructure nodes are present in the area, such as the multimodal bus terminal, which contemplates subway and train stations, road and urban bus terminal. The bus terminal is responsible to generate a great daily flow of people, who, however, do not remain or use the area.

18

The high number of abandoned and underutilized lots were also an important factor for delimitate the site intervention boundaries. The intervention aim is to (1) lessen the identified barriers, (2) thicken the area by creating new dwellings, (3) enhance the existing public spaces and create more options of public spaces at the neighborhood scale, and (4) design a walkable environment for pedestrians and cyclists. To support the new proposed density of 500 hab/ha, we designed a school and a sports center.

Montessori School 2014

The project is a school designed to best serve the Montessori pedagogy. The land in which it is located is in a predominantly residential neighborhood, with one story houses, in a neighborhood of Campinas. Based on this, the project preserved the characteristic of the surroundings, keeping the school with a building of two-story height at most. The neighborhood is bosky and the project maintained the maximum number of the existing trees.

22

In addition to attending Montessori pedagogy and maintaining the architectural character of the neighborhood, the project also takes into consideration thermal comfort, accessibility, wayfinding, natural lighting and sustainability issues. The school uses passive strategies to meet thermal comfort and reduce the need for electric energy. Thus, the school was designed through two axes: the north-south axis and the southwest axis (direction of prevailing wind of Campinas). Therefore, the larger facades of the school buildings were oriented to these axes to decrease the heat gain and ensure the ventilation of the indoor environments. The roof, two-story ceramic tile (keeping the predominant feature in the neighborhood), features shafts, which allow natural light to enter the room and the outlet of warm air, keeping them ventilated and fresh. The findings are filled with windows to allow the entrance of natural light and cross ventilation, and the school north and northeast facades are protected by brises. The school has a capacity of 500 students, being 200 of elementary school I and 300 of elementary II. These two schools are distributed in two villages, separated by an axis of circulation by ramps that connects the whole school’s program.
