ACTING AMIDST UNCERTAINTY

FREDERIC DELLOYE – SHAREHOLDER & MANAGER

This incredibly peculiar context is disrupting our reference points and making us question the meaning of our actions more deeply. We have decided to act, rather than endure this. To build our future, rather than go backwards. This is how leading actors and companies react. Thanks to their commitments, these actors and companies are activating transformations which have become essential. In an ever-changing, uncertain context, our values are our reference point; our convictions set our course.

and other stakeholders, along with expert advice. Naturally, we have renewed our adhesion to the United Nations Global Compact, and support its ten principles as part of our business.

In 2020, ANAÏK became a Mission purpose company. It incorporated a rationale in its bylaws, “to generate a positive, sustainable impact for people and for the planet in the sales promotion sector.” Part of its mission involves committing to a common good, in the form of the actions and goals listed in this document. At Anaïk, being committed means challenging oneself, exposing oneself, communicating, and being accountable. To succeed in a continuous improvement process, we need perspectives from our peers

2020 CSR REPORT - ANAIK GROUP

COMMITMENT #1

DEVELOPING PRODUCTS TO RESTORE BIODIVERSITY

2020

Our Ambition: To contribute to global carbon neutrality by 2030

1. Eco-designed products 18% of our products are eco-designed according to our internal “Anaïk Now” standards (vs. 12% in 2019): natural or recycled materials, local manufacturing local, zero plastic… Wonderful developments despite the stringency and toughening of our criteria!

2021 objective:30% of our products will correspond to our Anaïk Now standard

2020

-021

2. Product certification In 2020, Anaïk received 3 product certifications (vs. 2 in 2019) 1 - FSC Certification (Forest Steward Council) for paper, wood, cardboard, etc. We offer 3 solutions: 100% FSC, recycled FSC, and mixed FSC (>70%). This label ensures durable forest management and a traceable supply chain. 2 - GRS Certification (Global Recycled Standard) for products made of recycled textile fibers. This label ensures a traceable supply chain and optimal social and environmental conditions at every stage. 3 - Oekotex Certification for textile products. This label guarantees products that have no harmful chemical substances for your health, that of factory workers, or the environment. We also offer 2 solutions: conventional fibers and organically grown fibers.

2021 Objective: Earn GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certification for materials produced with organic fibers.

2020 CSR ETHICAL CHARTER REPORT -- ANAIK ANAIK GROUP GROUP

2020

3. Carbon neutral products With help from Ecoact, a specialized firm, Anaïk developed a calculator that is able to determine a product’s carbon footprint. This tool helps us calculate our eco-design efforts and to offer clients carbon-neutral products by buying certified carbon credits which have an influence on several Sustainable Development Goals. Since its launch in 2020, 444 tons of CO2 equivalents have been compensated thanks to our clients’ commitment to the Climate cause alongside us.

4. Responsible packaging In 2020, more than half our products were designed without any individual wrappers or virgin plastic. We developed a range of more responsible solutions, such as FSC paper envelopes, cardboard wrappers, recycled plastic, etc. This amounted to avoiding 300 tons of virgin plastic and to saving more than 480 equivalent CO2 tons.

2025 objective: 100% responsible, 0% virgin plastic!

WHAT ABOUT 2021? We have a few more ongoing projects: - 2020 Anaïk carbon footprint, scopes 1, 2, and 3: measuring as a way of committing to good actions following the right priorities - Reviewing our environmental policy - Working on issues in addition to carbon, such as water, or biodiversity, etc.

OUR COMMITMENT

COMMITMENT #2

BEING ORGANIZED TO PROMOTE PROFESSIONAL GROWTH

2020

2020

Our Ambition: 1 professional project for all

1. Encouraging remote work 2020 was a peculiar year… COVID-19 changed our working practices. The safety of our employees became an immediate, constant priority. Remote working was encouraged, our employees were properly equipped, and this will continue into 2021, to find a balance between professional and personal life.

2. Developing skills Sharing and Expertise: two values that we hold dear. Every Thursday morning, for our Flash Expert, one or several employees share their expertise, news, or a skill via a video conference in French and/or in English, so our international teams can join in. These in-house training sessions are open to all, so everyone has a chance to develop skills in a range of fields, such as negotiating, innovation, products, trends, CSR, etc.

2020

-025

3. Boosting employee commitment A “commitment” barometer was created to measure the commitment of our teams and be able to meet their needs. Our intention to transform our articles and become a company with a mission gave us the opportunity to bring together our teams around an ambitious project.

2021 objective: Add impact indicators (CSR) to our job descriptions to encourage teams to fulfill our social and environmental commitments.

WHAT ABOUT 2021? We have a few more ongoing projects: - Improve our integration processes - Implement a new HR interviewing tool - Encourage youth employment - Get together for a nourishing, friendly autumn seminar that is conducive to sharing and reflection to start building 2022 - Offer skills sponsorships

Clémence Licour Anaïk Financial Controller

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

I arrived in September 2020 to work as a management control alternate. Using figures and analyses, we are able to highlight how the company’s CSR practices have evolved. Working at Anaïk offers opportunities for learning, it is rich in challenges.

-027

I joined Anaïk on a permanent basis following a 6-month internship in the purchasing department. I discovered real issues that challenge me every day. I work with suppliers on increasingly virtuous materials, and on cleaner packaging. I study every possibility so we can propose several alternatives to clients and support them in this approach. I am proud of acting in favor of this environmental transition and that my job can contribute to a positive impact for the planet and for people.

OUR COMMITMENT

COMMITMENT #3

ADVANCING THE IMPACT OF OUR SERVICE PROVIDERS

2020

Our Ambition: A 100% sustainable relationship

1. Responsible purchases Anaïk’s relationship with its suppliers is at the heart of its strategy for responsible purchases. Transparency and ethics are shared values. We have many impacts, but together, we work to improve them one day at a time. Traceability is at the heart of our preoccupations. Although the level of social conformity of manufacturing sites is still an essential checkpoint, we want to advance all CSR issues alongside our partners. We therefore offer three additional assessments: - Social and environmental audits via independent third-party organizations (SEDEX, BSCI...) - Ecovadis assessments based on 4 pillars: responsible purchasing, ethics, human and social rights, and environmental issues. - Factory visits by our in-house teams spend the time needed to share best practices and thoroughly improve how our partners understand and adhere to our responsible purchasing policy. Local teams helped maintain a close link with our partners during the pandemic. In 2020, more than 80% of our volumes were purchased from assessed factories. Over 80% of our logistical service providers were assessed by Ecovadis.

2021 objective: Continue to get our partners (suppliers, subcontractors, and logistics service providers involved)

2020

-029

2. Building partnerships around universal causes 2020 saw the creation of a committed partnership with Empowher, which supports gender equality by helping women empowerment. We offer clients a range useful, practical, and durable range of organic cotton or recycled cotton products in the Empowher color scheme.

Launched in 2019, our partnership with Wings of The Ocean, devoted to the oceans, was a big success. Thanks to our clients, who are also committed to products made from polyester that is recycled from bottles, more than 25,000 m2 of beaches and coastlines have been decontaminated by association volunteers.

WHAT ABOUT 2021? We have a few more ongoing projects: - Working on inclusion through a French partnership - Supporting lower-ranked traceability

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

Anaïk Group is proud of being a privileged partner of most members of the “Responsible Beauty Initiative,” aimed at continually assessing CSR practices in our network of suppliers via Ecovadis. Together, we improve environmental footprints and social impacts across all our supply chains in the Beauty sector.

.

I joined Anaïk over 9 years ago, and I am now in charge of supplier development initiatives. My missions involve monitoring key suppliers, involving them in our continuous improvement approach, and in so doing, better serving Anaïk’s vision. I regularly assess factories for a variety of production points, such as quality management, but also for social and environmental criteria. I help them improve by communicating best practices. I provide an Anaïk business decision, which reassures buyers who place strategic orders.

COMMITMENT #4

PROMOTING ETHICAL, ECO-RESPONSIBLE BEHAVIORS

2020

Our Ambition: Promoting & sharing

1. Increasing the value of responsible products with final consumers Labels have been developed collaboratively so that our clients can showcase their eco-designed products or to encourage consumer participation. In 2020, 10% of our products were showcased.

2021 objective: 20% of responsible products which have a social and/or environmental commercial claim.

2020

-033

2. Ecovadis Anaïk assessment Since 2012, our CSR performance has been assessed yearly by Ecovadis across 4 areas: environmental, social, and humanrights actions, ethics, and responsible purchasing. We have once more earned a “Silver” award for our continued commitments and constant improvements. Many best practices were noted by Ecovadis, our assessor.

2020

2021 objective:Keep on improving our Ecovadis score

3. Mission purpose company: from project to reality We joined the Communauté des Entreprises à Mission, whose main objectives are to: - Encourage peer-to-peer exchanges - Share this new model with as many people as possible - Demonstrate the synergy between social, environmental, and economic performance… Frédéric Delloye actively participates in community working groups and webinars or publications which promote this new model.

2020 CSR ETHICAL CHARTER REPORT -- ANAIK ANAIK GROUP GROUP

2020

4. Online coffee breaks Being in lockdown did not keep us away from our clients! Every Friday morning, we hosted 30-minute online coffee breaks to maintain links and strengthen partnerships. These offered opportunities to talk about Anaïk, our ambitions and projects, and trending products.

WHAT ABOUT 2021? We have a few more ongoing projects: - Draft a new ethical charter for the group - Co-create future collections with stakeholders as part of a Gift-Thinking workshop - Be awarded BCorp certification - Continue promoting social and environmental causes with all our stakeholders

SDG

-035

Conclusion Anaïk was founded in 1973. Our teams have been motivated by their willingness to create and sell beautiful, useful, innovative, sustainable, and increasingly committed products ever since. Our course is set, many projects are underway, and we still have many ideas to keep on improving our social and environmental impact. I am taking over as head of CSR and commitment to support Anaïk’s leadership. My role will involve supporting existing projects, driving certifications, and as President of the Mission Committee, steering impact indicators and challenging the group’s CSR strategy. 2021 will be about joining the Bcorp community to become the best we can be FOR the world. Together with our stakeholders, our intention is to contribute to sustainable development goals bit by bit each day. We can’t wait to tell you what is next…
