The parisian artist Olivier Kosta-Thefaine carefully burn on ceilings creative and unusual paintings. Using the flame of a cigarette lighter, talented French “painter” decorates rooms with unique patterns and beautiful drawings. Why it is Cool? With such an usual object as a cigarette lighter Olivier can create burnt ceiling murals with unique patterns and beautiful drawings. Trampoline Bridge
An inflatable bridge designed by the arquitecture atelier AZC, equipped with large trampolines that allow people to bounce to the other side. If the project gets approved, modern pedestrian bridge will be installed in Paris, France. Tourists and locals will jump across the Seine River. Why it is Cool? Mary Beyer – Gloved Glamour
The French designer Mary Beyer works with brilliantly colored and textured leathers and her designs feature interesting details such as ties and cuffs. In Paris, Stringfellows strip club have put the pole into pole-dancing by cleverly designing their print campaign to work with existing lamp posts throughout the city. The ads are sharp, sexy, and almost interactive in their appearance. Why it is Cool? In an inteligent, sexy, straight to the point and almost real way these ads pretend to draw the attention to the strip club using existing elements on the streets. Modern Office
Christian Pottgiesser designed the combined headquarters for two companies Pons and Huot in Paris. The PONS + HUOT office is equipped with transparent dome shaped workspaces instead of regular cubicles. There’s a large wooden desk that also serves as a ceiling for the recreation room. Why it is Cool? An ecologic and sustainable project that replace the tradicional cubicles giving place to a better and open space that can even recreate a much more natural environment. Le dîner en blanc “Le dîner en blanc” is an annual dining event in Paris that's some 20 years old. Known as “Le dîner en blanc”, the city's clandestine dinner party attracts a crowd dressed entirely in white that comes together at an undisclosed location through a word-of-mouth campaign. The steadily-growing outdoor festivity makes a point to be as equally refined as it is fun, with guests dining on white linen at candle-lit tables, using cutlery brought from home. Live bands play in the background to crowds of over 8,000, who often end up dancing with sparklers in hand around the public space. Why it is Cool? Camelia Restaurant – Mandarin Oriental Hotel
The camellia motif relates directly to the camellia garden in which the restaurant is located. It’s decorated with smooth surfaces, white colour, and the subtle feel of being inside a gigantic bloom. Ecole Maternelle Pajol The Ecole Maternelle Pajol is a four-classroom kindergarten located in a 1940s building that was restored and reimagined in a way of giving it a new life but letting the building tell its previous stories. Color boldly were used both inside and out. Also a variety of shapes and forms in the furniture, furnishings and on the walls, in the play areas, rest areas and even in the bathrooms. In addition, was provided a variety of textures from tile and glass to rubber and wood. The building has kept its 1940s brick-wall feel, yet it radiates exuberance and has an up-to-date energy. Most likely its current users feel it was built just for them. Why it is Cool? For all reasons it’s a perfect place for kids, joyful, playful and colorful. Mama Shelter Marseille Hotel It’s a hotel designed by the popular Philippe Starck with a charming interior aesthetic and overall atmosphere. What makes the place interesting is that each room and area stand out with their own unique look—from a clean, monochrome palette in the Mama Deluxe room to blackboard ceilings and chalk scribbles in the main entryway. Why it is Cool? It’s a very original, creative, welcoming and different place.

Parisian RER Train transformed into Palace of Versailles Replica The Encore Eux Agency transformed a Parisian train into a moving replica of the Chateau de Versailles. Ornate paintings and golden sculptures line the aisles and even the ceilings are intricately designed. Other attractive improvements include the creation of a mock library in one of the carriages and the Hall of Mirrors, the Gallery of Battles and Marie-Antoniette’s estate all made with a high-tech plastic film. Louis Vuitton introduced a new collection of travel furniture and necessities.
