The AfroChampions Initiative has been advocating for African economic integration for years. As such, it has supported AfCFTA’s implementation, in particular to invite African countries and institutions to adopt it, and to accelerate its agenda. Now, with the effective entry into force of trade, the challenge is local adaptation, according to economist Paulo Gomes , former Executive Director at the World Bank, Co-Chair of the AfroChampions Initiative 22
