I worked as a support and collaborator for other teams in concept for façades, interior design and project feasibility. A highlight for the Interior Architecture project of the refurbishment of the ladies floor of the Bijenkorf Amsterdam. I was responsible for the concept, budget control, the colour scheme and sampling, contact with suppliers and meetings with the clients and interior designers.
I was part of the competition team for two years. A fast paced, creative and conceptual position that involved great time management skills, focus, fast thinking, problem solving, resilience and teamwork. I was able to navigate throughout many hard and soft skills in those intense projects. My software knowledge and self-learning capacities were put on test and I was able to advance many steps.

As a trainee in Bogevisch I could start my career outside Brazil. I had the opportunity to work there in the competition team and grow rapidly from intern tasks to conceptual work. I was responsible for the facade design and final drawings for the competitions. A lovely teamwork flow which made me grow my confidence and also develop a good German speaking level.

I am really grateful for my time at SPOL/ SPACE GROUP. Small and ambitious, with them I went through all the challenges of a professional career at young age and develop my passion for design. From leading my own projects and dealing with clients and suppliers, this experience forged my skills as a professional with the possibility to dare, dream and be creative. Also, more important, how to build those visions.

“ How can architecture stimulate brand loyalty in a time which you know what you want before you leave your house? “
By creating awareness of space in a space that stimulates to explore and wonder. A floor-plan in which each element has it’s own clear identity that exhibits the curated objects displayed in the store. We propose that the floor shows as a landscape, the ceiling as a wandering space, the column as an artifact and the walls as boundaries that stand alone. The floor become a landscape which doesn’t determine a path but invite for a thoughtful walk.
A space of elements
Every element has it’s own clear identity
Ceiling as a wonder-scape Floor as a landscape Column as an artifact Walls as furniture Objects as a place to share
The ceiling brings the eyes to its surface and allows uniformity in a complex shape. The column became free from anonymous boredom and stands a proud role. The walls separate from other elements and detach as a piece of furniture. The background walls stand strong and provide a contrasting counterpoint.
A space of elements Every element has it’s own clear identity
To achieve this effect, we researched materials, textures and colours. The combination creates a ‘non-white box’ that serves as a base for every brand as well as maintaining the Bijenkorf personality throughout the floor. The combination of all the variants will keep the clarity of each element as well as a strong consensual concept for the whole. An inviting, beautiful and pleasant retail experience that borders the edge of musea and art gallery.

The original buildings where the Bijenkorf Kolomvorme is now, where made with pouring concretre forms. An advance technic SO-102 in the end of the 19th Century, the project : Bijen fase / status : SO c result is an irregular positioning of the schaal / formaat : 1:500 datum : 19.11 collumns. The original building was an gewijzigd : artneauveau, natural lightned and florish styled site. Many refurbishments later, the floor plan is now busy, compartimented and with collumns dressed as intire walls. Our plan is stripe the collums to it’s original concrete apearance. Part of them would be then covered by a perforated 3mm alluminium case anodised in light golden colour. The wrapping cosists in two L shaped parts conected with minimum boltz. The eletric points and cleaning openings are acessible by a magnetic closure

As part of the journey, the floor doesn’t make the circulation directions as clear as usual store and malls pagination. The organic shapes invite the visitor to explore the floor in a fluid way. The choice for marble tiles remind the elevated purpose of the store and different epoxy grouting, marks the main circulation in a more subtle way. FLOOR GROUTING DETAIL CERAMIC TILES EPOXY GROUTING

Built in 1934, the Hotel Palace in Salvador was the
Art Deco mark of the province of Bahia which enjoyed the gold cacao plantation offered. With a casino, store, restaurant and hotel, the building had its prime times during its first 20 years. In the ’50s, due to a plague, the region suffered a big loss and went bankrupt. This had a major effect in the commercial activities and little by little the hotel was facing decadence. Some revivals failed until its complete shutdown in the 2000s. A group of investors saw it’s potential and brought the hotel back to life with a team for the refurbishment and our interior renovation project.
We spent around a year to bring life back to the Hotel with a scent of Art Deco and contemporary design. I was responsible for a big art direction project. I found references of local materials, the culture and the period that the hotel was built and produced a book that it’s presented to the guests and visitors. Adam Kurdhal and I worked full time in the design of each detail of the building. We personally chose the finishing, the wood, the furniture, interiors and collecting pieces for the boutique hotel as well. Was a major effort for this beautiful outcome. The hotel is always fully booked and a lively stage for parties, events and daily consumer speacilly in the swimming pool terrace with an amazing view to the bay. The project has been shown in big magazines local and international such as Vogue and it’s well evaluated in travel blogs and websites.

The hotel is located in the centre of the city
of Salvador. The city once was the capital of the country and a rich, vivid region. However, with the move to Rio de Janeiro and, lately, the big loss on the cacao business, the region of Bahia and the city of Salvador started its deep decline. Unfortunately, this decadence hit hard the old city and its buildings which were abandoned for many years. The city is a melting pot of African, Native indigenous and European cultures. I was a pleasure to see that Vogue Brasil publicised our work and our vision. The article gives recognition of our research about Bahia and it’s artisans, people, materials and beauties. All the art was curated to show the local people in photographies to decorate the rooms.

A young couple contacted to help them visualising
they future appartment. The renovation is taking place in the West of Amsterdam’s city in Admiraal de Ruijterweg Street in a house of the 1920’s if not ealier. With clear uses and passages of the time, the house has it’s beautiful and peculiar aspects as fireplaces, weird room divisions and questionable pile of solutions that were taking over the time by multiple habitants. The project is being held in a self building dynamics and with my remote support when needed after the visuals. The couple is wanting and efficient and sustainable house with the latest technology for water and energy renovation for households. On top of that they wanted and ecletic, fun and multi material colourful house to have their friends over but also to work and enjoy their evening together. All the desings and choices were made together with them and I am looking forward to see the final results.
Sometimes the client has clear visions of what they want. It’s always a challenge to put your signature on those projects. I am always up for a try and in this case the little twist on the herringbone floor mixing wood with tiles on the wet areas, adding more colours than blue and green, lowered celing and built in curtains. Solving the new bathroom and toilet area was a good collaboration and making it fesiable is a great outcome. The sound and ventialtion systems are hidden underneath the ceiling and the whole house has smart and voice systems installed. Automation was an important part of the program.
KITCHEN, DINING AREA AND LIVING ROOM
A bathtube in the bedroom was one of the first wishes expressed by the couple. Not so usual but also nothing too crazy, I embraced the idea and conected the floor of the bedroom with the kitchen and proposed a fluid plan even with closed doors. The pipes from the ceiling matchign the brushed metal headboard give the elegant and ecletic style with a twsit that they were looking for.

A young couple and their 4-year-old twin girls wanted a playful and happy apartment that could be enjoyed for parties and kids as they like to. An extremely sensible work was made since the concept phase once one of the girls is a handicapped kid and has her own necessities. Each door, a new world, each room a completely new environment, different colour, texture and materials combined with a tactile and visual experience. The first floor is compreehended by the private part of the apartment. Each room is created to be a complete cube with it’s own colour, material and/ or composition including the doors. This way, when closed, they would look like a uniform environment. For this was necessary to research materials, suppliers and the best professionals available for executing this ideas.
ACRILLYC MODEL
KITCHEN
Some of them exentric and new, were the reason of several talks and group solutions for the many challenges that appereared with the daring desings. The kitchen, for example, was made with hidraulic tiles and the lamps were fabricated especifically for the project. The ceiling was an especial structure that could hold the tiles (many times heavier than normal finishing) and the doors hinges where special for the same purpose. The laundry was in a contrasting epoxi paint to resist water and heavy cleaning. The living room was another challenge for the builders and in the detailing phase. The choice was made for
a local wood that could be painted in industrial scale and resistant enough for the familly daily use. Once they focous was for the family life and better comfortfor the kids, specially the little girl with especial needs, we decided to create a playing island. In the wooden floor, we opened a ellipse made of natural linoleum that had to have none height difference from the wooden floor. The lamps and furniture were chosen to compose a playful environment for the kids and their friends, as well as elegant. for the partents and guests. In the small rooms on the closed side we were able to place a small toilet, storage and office.

TECHNICAL SPACE AND GIRLS LITTLE PLAY HOUSE
On the other side where the tv room and gym. The space could easily work as small enviroments or a big room for the familly acoording to the need. Technical challenges were many. First the sliding doors, frames and glass divisories couldn’t have steps. The same when transitioning from a room to another. We had also to avoid rugs and potentially allergic materials. On top of that, the whole house had to be climatized. The special twin had problems to keep her body temperature, so it was mandatory that the ar condicioning system could work even with an eletricity shortage. For that to be possible, big areas of the project were dedicated for the machinery.
COMUNAL AREA WITHPARAMETRIC FURNITURE
Howerver, they had to be hidden for security reasons and for the luxery standards. The second floor is a free space surrounded by a wooden rib structure that works as the bench, sideboard and buffet inside, but also as the planter outside. Connected by a new lift, this multifunctional space has a barbeque area, a swimming pool with a sauna, an inside and out linked kitchens, climatized adega, a television and a video game rooms, a dinner room, toilets inside and outside and a backyard movie theatre. The whole program was developed with the couple and attended the needs at every level from the leisure expectations, hygiene, to the technical issues. On top of the toilet was placed the generator that could maintain the house functioning for a whole day in case of blackouts. The swimming pool can be reached by a ramp an seating level, it is warm and it’s lenght was maximized
for fisioterapy treatments. At one of the extremities we placed a glass sauna that could be accecible by the water as well. The acessibility was crucial in every part of the house, so the little girl could access every place without problems. The frames were minimal and the idea of interior and exterior areas integrated was quite strong. Again thinking of the kids, the garden was planned to be harmless and to have a seasonal changeabilty. This way the children could help on the maintenaince and to participate of the maintenance. The extension of planters can also be used as benches to watch the projections and the ceiling would be covered by plants.

A location between meadows, cultivated farming landscape and suburban sprawl gives Oberbillwerder, just a 15 minutes ride from the center of Hamburg, an enormous potential as an attractive urban development area with a highly livable and vibrant city environment.
