This book documents a three week project of four Master students of Architecture and follows the chronological structure of modeling, fabrication and finally construction of a small pavilion.
During the first week we focused on the design process of a small, self- supporting structure, a pavilion for ephemeral exhibitions and leisure, serving as an urban “living room” as well.
During the second week, we investigated the overall structure in terms of construction, joining and stability, changing and rescaling our model depending on the construction needs. The digital tools used for the realization of this phase were rhino in collaboration with grasshopper.
The third and last week of this project was about digital fabrication. Time for logistics! Having explored and tested the limits of design according to real construction demands, and taking into account possible fails from the one to one construction of such a structure, we proceed to the analysis of the form in smaller components
