Spanish transports: • Taxi
▪ In this photo, we can see what taxis looked like in the past in Spain. ▪ They were not identical cars, but all the taxis had to be yellow and black. The yellow colour used to be on the right and left doors and the trunk door. The rest of the taxi used to be black.
▪ This picture shows a current taxi. ▪ It is just white, like all Spanish taxis. ▪ This colour means that they are new cars.
SIMILARITIES AND DIFFERENCES ✓ Both of them are cars: they work in the same way and they have identical pieces to be fixed by mechanics. ✓ They also have the number of the taxi on one of their doors and this sign: `TAXI´ on top of the taxis roof. ➢ However, the colours in both pictures are different. In the first photo, taxis were black and yellow and in the second photo, they are white. ➢ Another difference is that current taxis are bigger than taxis in the past, but this happens because people prefer large cars. So, tyres are bigger and the pieces are high-tech and modern. OPINION • In my view, taxis are improving because of the new technology and its advantages. Nowadays, there is a lot of space between seats to stretch your legs, trunk are larger to keep suitcases and radios, GPS and telephones are included in the cars to make the trip easier. I´m keen on current taxis and I´m not very fond of going in old taxis.
• TRAIN

In the middle of the picture, there is an old train. It was made of metals which weren´t painted. It worked with water vapour which helped to move all the carriages. We can see some people on the railway without protection because in those days, there were not train stations or platforms. o In the background there were some mountains and a village with white cottages. o There used to be a number on the first carriage.
o This photo shows modern a train and, on the right, there is a girl who is me. o The train is red and white because now, trains are painted. o In both sides, there are platforms but we can´t see anyone.
SIMILARITIES AND DIFFERENCES ✓ Both of them have carriages and they move in railways. ✓ Another thing they have in common is that they normally move outdoors except when they pass through tunnels. ➢ On the contrary, in the past, trains did not have any colour but nowadays, as we can see in the second photo, trains are painted. ➢ However, the most important difference is how they work because old trains used the water vapour but at present, trains use electricity energy. ➢ Another difference is that there are more protection to people in the train station than in the past, when there were not rules. Opinion • I think that trains are improving because of the new technology. Now, we use the energy and we don´t waste loads of coal, which, in my view, is better for the environment. Platforms help people who are in the station a lot to to avoid accidents. So, I am very keen on our modern trains.
• BUS
-The first photo shows a bus in my city now and, next to it, there is a girl, who is me. I can see that the bus is covered with pictures showing some publicity. At the top of the picture I can see some trees. I have taken this photo near the beach, that is why you can see this type of trees there (in my city these trees are often in streets which are next to the beach). -The second photo shows an old bus and some men next to it. I can see that the men used to wear suits. On the right of the picture, on the top of the bus, I can see a sign which says Málaga-Algeciras (two cities in Spain). It may be indicating the trip.
SIMILARITIES AND DIFFERENCES
-The photos are both similar in some ways, they were both taken outdoors and probably in Málaga. Both of them have trees at the top and show a bus. They’re similar but not identical. Likewise, both buses have windows and doors.
-Some differences are that the first photo must have been taken next to the beach, whereas the second photo was taken in the countryside. Another difference is the clothes that I am wearing and the clothes that the men in the second photo were wearing. In fact, the buses have different shapes, the first one has a square shape and the second one has an irregular shape, also buses now have more colours than before.
OPINION -In my view I think they are very different because of technology.
• SCOOTER
DESCRIPTION: In the first photo we can see that the old scooters were made of wood, and in the second picture, as we know we can see that the hoveboards are made of a metal material. I took the picture with the hoverboard behind my house because it is advisable to use it on a smooth floor. SIMILARITIES: The photos are both similar in some ways, since they have wheels to move and they have a flat platform to support the feet. You can also customize them with all kinds of stickers, with different paints, etc‌ DIFFERENCES: In term of the differences between them, the first photo must have been taken in a poor time, where there was not much money. Whereas the second photo was taken in a moment when technology is first, like in 2018. Another difference is that in the first picture we can see that it had a stick, where you can grab and control the scooter, and now there's nothing to hold on to, it's just your balance. Also, before we moved it with the movement of the foot on the ground, now they are made with motion sensors.
MY OPINION: In my opinion, the old ones were more fun than the new ones, because when you would go on scooter´s races with your friends, the one who won was you not a machine like the hoverboard, because now you do not have to make any physical effort, you just move your hip to the right and you move directly. It´s hard to say but I think that now children do not exercise as much as before, and play less outdoors. I have never thought about it, but I suppose that I prefer the old scooter. SKI • My report is about the ski differences and resemblances. • We can see that now, we use a safer equipment than the older one. You must use a helmet which is made with a resistant plastic and big special glasses. Two sticks to stand upright and the pair of special boots done up to the skies.
• Although we can see than in the past they only used a stick, they have not used a helmet since 1900 but they used skies made with wood and boots made with leather. • Interestingly, the ski was sometimes used to hunt. • In my opinion, there are not too many changes, but the new things are safer and more controlled now than years ago.
