Why Sell Your Boat with Ancasta
Based on ability and resources, Ancasta guarantees the highest level of local and global exposure for your boat, working quickly and efficiently to secure suitable buyers. When you list your boat with Ancasta, your broker will assume full responsibility for the entire boat-selling process, from arranging a photoshoot to ensuring the transfer of title and funds. Here is an overview of how we offer a level of service beyond the norm, establishing confidence with buyers worldwide and maximising the net proceeds from the sale of your yacht.
Boat Preparation
The key to a quick and successful boat sale is to create good first impressions. If you present your boat with care and attention, you are far more likely to receive attractive offers when you put your boat up for sale. But we understand that not everyone has the time to spruce up their vessel, so we have access to dedicated technicians and boatyards who can prepare your boat for you. Our professional brokers can also advise on extra modifications that may help the vessel sell quickly and for a better price.
Establishing a Fair Price
Establishing a fair price for your yacht is very important. If the price is too high, you'll probably put buyers off. Too low, and you risk missing buyers who are looking for quality. The key is to offer good value. Our qualified yacht brokers have an excellent understanding of the market and will review all of the latest industry data, and assess the quality of your yacht, to establish the fairest market value for your boat.
Photos and Video
Presenting your boat in the best possible light will also help you achieve a successful and speedy sale. So, as soon as you decide to list your boat with us, we will work with you to dress your boat appropriately before taking high-quality photos of the boat. We can also create a 360º virtual tour so potential buyers can get a realistic view of the boat, wherever they are in the world. These and the boat's specifications are then uploaded to our website and CRM database.
Marketing
When your boat becomes available, it will be promoted to all of our 24 offices, 40 yacht brokers and 45,000 active buyers. Your broker will also search Ancasta's CRM database of qualified boat buyers across the network, matching your boat's criteria with their requirements. A full specification of your boat is sent to them, along with an invitation to arrange a viewing. Ancasta has extensive marketing resources and an international reach. With an in-house marketing team, a robust CRM system, high traffic website and a busy boat show calendar, there are multiple opportunities for your boat to be seen by active buyers.

Search for Buyers
If you want to sell your yacht quickly, you'll need to get it seen by as many buyers as possible. But it's not just about reach; you also need to make sure it is seen by the right people – people looking for a yacht like yours. All our yacht brokers are highly skilled sales professionals, and our approach is uncompromising and energetic. We proactively reach out to potential buyers and grasp every opportunity to promote and sell your boat. We receive buyer enquiries daily, so respond quickly with suitable brokerage opportunities. We also monitor the marketing reach of your boat and look for alternative promotional channels if required.
Assisting Buyers
As well as working for vendors, we also provide a broad range of boat services and advice to buyers, including finance options, insurance, surveys, VAT advice, storage, and boat yard services. These extra services make us an attractive option for buyers who want a hassle-free buying experience.
Negotiating
All Ancasta brokers are ABYA members and are highly qualified to manage your sale. When you receive an offer for your boat, we will negotiate to ensure you get the best price possible. We also have an in-house lawyer and dedicated boatyard technicians to hand and can negotiate sales in multiple languages, including English, French, Spanish, German, and Dutch.
Facilitate sea trials and surveying
Serious buyers will be keen to test your yacht at sea and have a qualified marine surveyor inspect the boat. They may also want to haul the boat out of the water to observe the hull. We will attend the sea trial and marine survey to ensure everything goes smoothly and to answer questions. We will also help you address any issues uncovered in the survey.
Completing the sale
Ancasta manages every step of the selling process, assuming all responsibility for the paperwork and contracts. To ensure a smooth and secure transaction, we hold title documents and other necessary paperwork, organise the sale and purchase agreement, draw up title transfers, oversee the completion and handover process, and manage purchase funds via a Client Account for your total protection. When the sale is agreed upon and finalised, we will handle the completion and ensure a smooth handover.
