N ika M ary B oyd is an engineer who also has a passion for writing and working with children. Nika attended the University of Michigan and the Ohio State University to receive B.S.E. and M.S.E. degrees in aerospace and mechanical engineering. During her time in college she further explored her faith, becoming involved in Orthodox Christian Fellowship and working as a counselor at Antiochian Village Camp. Nika currently lives in Cincinnati, Ohio, and she loves spending time with her husband, John, and their child, Johnny. She hopes this book will help youngsters grow within the life of the Church and is inspired by the words of 1 Timothy 4:12, “Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”

H e at h e r H ay wa r d would rather draw than do just about anything else. She is an illustrator and graphic designer and has an art degree and a Masters in Business from Western Washington University. Heather became Orthodox as a teenager after a friend invited her to church. She loves producing illustrations that will inspire children in their faith and for the glory of God. She currently lives in the quaint Dutch town of Lynden, Washington, with her two Corgis, Tucker and Jenny.
