Treetop Nordnes How is it possible to feel safe in an urban situation? How can you sleep while there is people all around you? Our concept and solution was elevation. While wanting to make an cheap and easy-to-build construction for sleeping, we had to take the materials own ability for protection into consideration. We ended up using 200,-(25 euros) per cocoon. This meant that the even though the materials could hold our weight, they weren`t bulletproof and had to be mounted out of reach for people on the ground. The lowest cocoon was mounted 3 meters of the ground, while the highest were about 5 meters up in the three.

Day

Pulley: You adjust how public/private you want the cocoon to be. During daytime it can be a social spot on the ground, while at night you hoist yourself up to sleep safely.
