Conclusion
It all started with a vision.
A vision. A vision, rather dystopian, of what the future holds. A vision emerging from the health crisis the world is facing right now.

Envision. Envision the future is what design is capable of. This is what thirty-two design students have just showcased here. And this is what the Brazil Studio is all about: empowering designers in the making so that they can embody the future of that ever evolving discipline.
L’École de design has been training the new generations of designers for the last thirty years. In over three decades it went from a class of no more than fifteen students to having hundreds of students study all over the world.
This didn’t happen overnight. It took time, efforts and commitment. All driven by a vision. A clear vision of what good design could do to the world. A bright vision of the role education has, to make the world a better place.
Through a human-centered vision, design has this overwhelming and yet exhilarating responsibility of changing the world. For the better. And what better way of turning the world around than touring the world? By offering its student the opportunity to study abroad, L’École de design brings another vision to life. The one that states loud and clear that design knows no boundaries. Just as the covid proved the world that disaster can come knock at any door.
Collapse is at our door. Knocking. Eager to knock us down. This is why designers must rise. Up to the challenge. This challenge puts on many faces. Climate change, pandemic…
But fear not, that design counts many new faces: Inès, Caroline, Selma, Maxime, Margot, Pauline, Emma, Romane, Salomé, Alix, Laurine, Tassia, Amandine, Pauline, Raphaël, Lenny, Ugo, Alexandre, Chloé, Arnaud, Julie, Laëtitia, Marisa, Nicolas, Olga, Philippe, Julien, Nicolas, Olha, Xabi, Guillaume, Antoine. Together they had a vision of the covid. Together they came up with a pre-vision of the postcovid.
Having a vision, moreover a pre-vision is no magic. There is no sorcery where there is methodology. There is no spell where there is knowledge. There is no luck where there is work. This didn’t happen overnight. It took time, efforts and commitment. All driven by a vision. A clear vision of what good design could do to the world. A bright vision of the role education has, to make the world a better place.
Luiza and Anderson have been training this new generation of designers for the last sixteen weeks. In over four months it went from an impromptu online class to having six consistent and relevant prospective projects.
Envision. Envision the future is what design is capable of. This is what thirty-two design students have just showcased here. And this is what this project was all about: empowering designers in the making so that they can embody the future of that ever changing world.
A vision. Luiza and Anderson had a vision, rather utopian, of what that project held. A vision emerging from the resilience the world is showing right now.
