Athletic Director

John S. Pistole is the fifth president of Anderson University. He took over the office in March 2015. A 1978 graduate of AU, he earned a juris doctorate from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law before going into practice for two years. Pistole began a career with the FBI in 1983 before he rose through the ranks and was appointed deputy director in 2004. In March 2006, the FBI honored Pistole with the 2005 Presidential Rank of Distinguished Executive. President Barack Obama appointed Pistole as head of the Transportation Security Administration in the spring of 2010. He was recognized as one of several outstanding alumni of institutions within the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU) and received an Honorary Doctor of Laws degree from Anderson University.

Marcie Taylor is in her seventh year as the athletic director at Anderson University. Taylor is in her 25th year overall at Anderson and is currently the head women’s basketball coach. Before taking over the AD position, Taylor was the associate athletic director. Taylor was a guard for the Lady Ravens from 1980-84 and graduated in 1984 with a bachelor’s degree in secondary education/physical education and a minor in biology. She earned a master’s degree in exercise physiology from Ball State in 1988. Taylor spent one year as an assistant coach at AU before taking over the program in 1991.

don brandon field Anderson University’s Don Brandon Field features a natural grass surface and dimensions similar to most Major League Baseball ballparks. The complex includes seating for about 500 spectators, a press box, brand new 80-foot dugouts, an electronic scoreboard and a public address system. The park includes a brick dust infield, four 80-foot hitting tunnels behind the third base dugout, and a practice field that can be used for pregame batting practice. The Ravens utilize a sizeable weight room with about 3,200 square feet of space. Indoor practice facilities include two fully enclosed batting cages, three pitching mounds, and a full size infield surface.
