Earlyne wrote in 1985, Beyond Tomorrow, “scientists are detecting the inflow of this powerful new energy (Love Force). I find it astounding that Astara had members, in the early 50’s, that were scientists and physicists and colleagues of Einstein-and that they were making the correlation of ancient truths with the scientific discoveries of their day. Now, in 2025, the laws of the universe are as valid when applied to spiritual matter as to material.
This issue is dedicated to the new metaphysical sciences that are giving us eye witness proof of the Love Force that Earlyne spoke of and dedicated her life to. It is a quick investigation into the exposure of the hidden side of the energy that surrounds, animates and propels humanity into this Golden Age.

What’s Your Story?
Life is often compared to a book. You have chapters and main characters, climaxes and traumas, beginnings, story lines and endings. Each page layers on top of the other creating a narrative of individual experience. Some books are short, some are long. Some novels are beautiful and some are tedious, tragic and scary. The assumption is, we all write our own individual stories and there is a benevolent force that gives us the tools for writing it, word by word, line by line.
But what is really in your pages? What lies within the chapters of your life? Who is editing your story and are you even writing it yourself or are your circumstances and experiences ghost writing it for you? Is your story a continuation of a previous story? Is it a trilogy, a fantasy, science fiction, thriller, biography, comedy, or an epic tale of major proportions?
Recently, I had the experience of doing an energy healing on a woman who was wearing an Oura ring. It continually collects data on over 20 biometrics that directly impact your wellbeing. It unlocks insights into sleep, stress, heart health, temperature blood oxygen levels and more. Anyway, we were working on some past traumas that she experienced that were affecting the physical body. When I had her express the trauma, the Oura ring actually tracked her biometrics as if the event was happening in real time.
This was fascinating to me-that our bodies are the story of our life. That our cells are the most advanced technology on the planet telling the stories of our past within our DNA. Physical ailments are signals that the plot has gone awry-that we don’t heal our dis-ease: it heals us!
I have initiated research and development coupled with application and affects as it relates to medical syndromes, symptoms, traumas and disorders. My therapeutic approach which draws on the various healing and alchemical process that have been practiced through the ages has produced a systematic approach to healing and spiritual development through a complex technique of layering that targets different aspects of the body and psyche. That said, this year I am focusing on experimenting with my own technology in relation to the affects The Astara Affirmation, prayer petition blessings and Lama Yoga meditations have on the energy system in real time. You’ll be hearing more on this subject and yes I will be asking for volunteers.

PLANETARY IMMORTALITY
FROM THE MYSTICAL MARRIAGE OF SCIENCE AND SPIRIT

Dr. Earlyne and other mystics have always claimed that our earth planet, like man himself, has had several re-embodiments.
(Third Degree, Lesson 5.) The Biblical creation story was not the first beginning of the univere. The ancient Hindus called these periods of manifestation and subsequent dissolution “the days and nights of Brahm.” Each world age of manifestation is called a manvantara.
Today, according to Time Magazine, some optimistic astrophysicists feel that the ancient theory may be true. Earlier astrophysicists believed that the universe lacked sufficient matter to stop its expansion. It will continue to expand while stars and other heavenly bodies continue to consume inconceivable amounts of hydrogen until its supply is exhausted. Then activity will cease in our universe. Other astronomers feel that there is enough matter in the universe to halt the expansion, and the onrushing, star-filled galaxies will halt, then begin rushing back through space until they crash together to form a new primordial atom. Then it will explode, sending fragments outward to recreate the cosmos and life itself in a never ending cycle.
But what is happening to our planet?
Classic science declares that the Second Law of Thermodynamics cannot be ignored. When energy is dissipated by heat radiation, loss of vital force occurs. The universal clock is running down, say Sir James H. Jeans, Eddington and others.
Other authorities, headed by Robert Millikan, claim that while destruction is undoubtedly going on, we have ample proof that a continual upbuilding process is also coming into manifestation. Millikan, for instance, could not account for the
long life of the stars unless supplementary sources of energy kept replenishing the energy lost by radiation. He suggests that this radiant energy leaking from the stars is at the same time replenishing the hydrogen essential to the building of atoms of the heavier elements.
Dr. Paelian, though presenting both theories in his book, Relativity and Reality, did not believe that the manifested universe in its present form will last forever. To him, creation and obscuration are two inseparable poles of one reality. Each manifestation of the universe starts with involution and is completed by evolution as shown by the ascending and descending arcs of a curve. But in reality the sine curve is a projection of a spiral. Thus the universe does not return to a subsequent point of manifestation but to a higher level.
Dr. Earlyne fundamentally concurs with the continual creation theory. She feels that the idea of dissolution and manifestation in cycles is still basically a demonstration of continuity. Today, science as well as mysticism is convinced of the universal persistency and indestructibility of force. Matter and energy are interpolar and interconvertible. So-called laws of matter are not absolute or ultimatter. The electron and proton do not obey its laws. The spirit in man makes him answerable to a higher law than that of gravitation.
In the Third Degree, Lesson 8, of Astara’s Book of Life, Dr. Earlyne points out that if the earth and its people are spirit materialized, it is not too much to believe that the spirit world and its dwellers are matter spiritualized. In the indestructible economy of the universe a ceaseless
reciprocity occurs. The sun bathes the entire force field of the solar system with energizing electromagnetic essences. She teaches that:
In turn, from every planet and sun in our universe flow electromagnetic rivers...like great ceaseless tides which sweep on into the interstellar spaces. Like the perpetual flow of human blood... do these positivenegative celestial rivers from geo-centers of planets and heliocenters of suns, rise like immense streams of spiritual currents... like the bloodstream in the Body of God.
(Third Degree, Lesson 8)
Dr. Earlyne feels that if matter is condensation of fiery gases, the process can reverse. Ice becomes water, water becomes steam, steam becomes gas, gas becomes electronic particles, electricity becomes magnetism, and magnetism becomes ether. Ether becomes essence and essence becomes spirit. Matter becoming energy resists the law of gravity and rises into space.
The spiral, which is the projection of the sine curve of involution and evolution, finds man descending into matter. The evolutionary ascent finds matter or body becoming spirit. Dr. Earlyne contends that:
The materialization of spirit is attained by the translation of heat into the mechanical gravitational motion of the heavens. Heat lost by the sun establishes the gravity that maintains the solar system.
Then Dr. Earlyne pursues the innovative theory that spirit spheres are built by retaining the heat-force escaping from material forms, human and otherwise. Like the gas described, these particles overcome gravity to rise above time and space. The scientists who present the Second Law of Thermodynamics unknowingly agree with the mystic-declaring that heat is escaping from matter. They do not suggest where it may go. Still the bipolar reciprocity of matter and energy receives skeptical recognition from science.

Einstein’s Unified Field Theory maintained that there is only one primordial Root Substance.
When it is reduced to its lowest motion and frequency, it is matter.

AUTHOR AND ARTIST FRANCES PAELIAN
Has the heart of an artist and the mind of a scientist. She has created murals for Fifth Avenue stores and has designed some of the world’s most beautiful Christmas cards. She has shared scientific research with her father, the renowned physicist Garabed H. Paelian, and with the equally renowned astronomer Gustaf Stromberg.
She has studied with the Arcane School, and her probings into mysticism through Astara form the basis of this book. She pursued a profound interest in psychology with the late Dr. Fritz Kunkel and with David Seabury. She is a teacher in her own right and has written numerous articles for national esoteric and religious publications, including The Beacon and Science of Mind Magazine.
Her unique illustrations, give an added dimension of clarity and insight to the Astara teachings and Book of Life Degree Lessons.
The mystic declares that: Essences which fell into matter once more escape upward toward the great central sun from which they came.
Everything is interdependent; nothing is wasted or lost in the universe. “Everything flows,” a Greek sage once said. Everything is kept in circulation by electromagnetic forces. Dr. Earlyne postulates that the earth is a gigantic magnetic battery. Its vast beds of iron, copper, zinc and other elements send a ceaseless stream of electric currents into our atmosphere. She teaches that the Van Allen Belts at the North and South Poles of our planet were created by these tremendous poles and, like mighty coils, they create immense force fields. They not only sustain the earth by the sun’s electromagnetic forces which enter there, but relay from the South Pole a magnetic stream which surges upward toward the Milky Way. At the same time a lighter river from the Milky Way enters the North or negative pole. Thus the mystic points out, earth’s finest emanations return unto the spiritual world to nourish its own forms of life. Dr. Earlyne points out that these spiritual spheres are not totally created by, but are rather enhanced by, the perfected atoms of the natural world. Let us say the studio has always existed but the finer building blocks born of earth provide new art materials for lovelier masterpieces.
How does such energy go to its proper place?
Garabed Paelian said that atoms absorb radiations of their own wavelength. They are unaffected by waves foreign to their nature. Some scientists say that electromagnetic waves go out in all directions, irrespective of the existence of a receiving body. Dr. Paelian however, accepted the view of physicists Gilbert N. Lew, H.D. Ellsworth and others, that no radiation exists unless there is another body to absorb it. An atom never emits light except to another atom. Paelian admitted this sounds absurd to the superficial, but he felt that radiation and absorption are two poles of one
reality. Gravity without something to gravitate to is meaningless. This makes Dr. Earlyne’s hypothesis scientifically believable-that radiation can only travel when it has something to travel to, and it is only attracted to frequencies of a similar nature, however rare.
If, as Einstein taught, all forces are one-gravity, magnetism and the like-the coarser radiations are drawn to earth, then the finer, overcoming gravity, rise as radiocarbon and other isotopes. Dr. Earlyne goes beyond him to claim that these rising particles combine with such radioactive particles as alpha, beta, gamma, cosmic and as yet undiscovered particles. These form the solids, liquids and gases of another, subtler world. Everything in this higher world has its counterpart for forms found on earth. According to the bipolar absorption radiation theory espoused by Paelian, radiation cannot be emitted unless it has some place to go. Also, their destination would be unable to receive the radiations unless it were of a commensurate nature or frequency, even though on a much higher octave. Thus he agrees with the mystic that these essences are the basic building blocks of higher worlds.
Since matter and spirit are two poles of one force rather than separate, the empirical should not be shaken by the idea that Spirit can express itself as a finer form of matter. Neither pole of a dichotomy can ever be totally suppressed or destroyed.
How long, then, before the scientific community as a whole bows to the ancient, yet modern, concept of invisible worlds and invisible inhabitants?
THE PHYSICS OF PENDULUM MOTION:
A pendulum, in its simplest form, is a weight (the “bob”) suspended from a fixed point, allowing it to swing freely. The motion of a pendulum is governed by gravity and inertia.
Gravity: This force pulls the bob downwards towards the Earth’s center.
Inertia: This is the tendency of the bob to resist changes in its motion. Once moving, it wants to keep moving in the same direction.
When you displace the bob from its resting position (the equilibrium point), gravity pulls it back down. However, due to inertia, it overshoots the equilibrium point and continues to swing in the opposite direction. This creates an oscillating motion.
OBSERVED PENDULUM MOVEMENTS:
The movements you observe in a pendulum are the result of these forces, and they can be broadly categorized as:
Linear Swings (Straight Lines):
Vertical (Front-to-Back): The pendulum swings in a straight line towards and away from you.
Horizontal (Side-to-Side): The pendulum swings in a straight line from left to right.
Circular Swings:
Clockwise: The pendulum moves in a circle in the same direction as the hands of a clock.
Counterclockwise: The pendulum moves in a circle in the opposite direction of the hands of a clock.
Elliptical Swings: The pendulum moves in an oval-shaped path.
Bobbing (Up-and-Down): The pendulum moves vertically, without a significant horizontal swing.
SIMPLE HARMONIC MOTION
Ideomotor Effect: Some scientists attribute pendulum movements to the ideomotor effect, which suggests that subtle, unconscious muscle movements influence the pendulum’s motion.
A pendulum is often seen as a symbol of time and its relentless passage, as it swings back and forth in a predictable motion.
Pendulums are used to seek out invisible energies and receive answers to questions by observing the pendulum’s movement. Pendulums can help tap into the subconscious mind, allowing for deeper self-reflection and understanding. They can be used to clear negative energy, balance chakras, and promote overall wellbeing. By asking questions and observing the pendulum’s movements, you can gain insights and awareness about your life and spiritual path.

Materialist matter is only energy, and energy is ether, and ether is thought in substance, and thought is Love, and Love is God, and God is Spirit.

Copper has been used for the materialization of Light. It is associated with obtaining Grace, Honor, Love , and manifesting the Hearts Desires.
Transformation:
Copper has been symbolized as a metal of transformation, often linked with the alchemical process of turning base metals into gold. In ancient alchemical traditions, copper was seen as a metal that could bridge material and spiritual transformation, similar to the philosopher’s stone.
Venus and Feminine Energy:

THE LIGHT REVEALS SECRET TO SCIENTISTS
An international team of researchers has unveiled an entirely new route to supersolidity, harnessing light-matter particles known as polaritons to create an exotic, flowing crystal.
In other words, this is a supersolid made not from atoms, but from light itself. Light was turned into a quasiparticle that simultaneously behaved like a crystal and wave.
“We actually made light into a solid. That’s pretty awesome,” Dimitris Trypogeorgos, a physicist at the National Research Council (CNR) in Italy and a member of the international team behind the discovery, told New Scientist.
Supersolids are a state of matter that exists only in the quantum realm. Light-based supersolids open up new avenues for exploring quantum states of matter. Unlike supersolids made from atoms, which require temperatures close to absolute zero, light-based supersolids might be easier to manipulate and study at room temperature. This could help physicists better understand the nature of supersolids and other exotic quantum phenomena.
The result was a supersolid made entirely of light — a first in the history of physics. “This is really at the beginning of something new,” says Trypogeorgos.

THE ULTIMATE MYSTERY

We have too many scientific arguments for the existence of God to quote all of them. Still, we shall attempt to sum up the most striking of these conclusions, even at the sacrifice of many magnificent statements.
Although order is inherent in nature, we find unpredictability in the atom. According to the Second Law of Thermodynamics, everything moves increasingly toward disorganization. Still, as Dr. A. N. Whitehead of Harvard, said:
Some Creativity has achieved the supreme task of transforming disjointed multiplicity, which its diversities, into a concrete unity.
Dr. Gustaf Stromberg’s main argument for God’s existence is teleology, or “purpose,” which cannot exist without a Planner. For instance, the organs in an embryo are perfected in time prior to the need for them. The qualities already present in an egg or acorn, foreordain changes meaningless in the organism’s present form. Stromberg is also impressed by the unitary character of the cosmos. The properties of matter remain constant even on distant stars. Such uniformity is incomprehensible without a unifying Agency.
Dr. Earlyne asserts in her Second Degree, Lesson 15 that, incomprehensible as it may be to grasp, the Godhead is without beginning or end. Kirley F. Mather, Harvard Geology professor, points out that matter, like-wise, has no end or beginning, nor can an atom of it ever be destroyed. Elements just change their form. The geologist is therefore convinced of the immortality of the human soul.
Perhaps one of the most sublime arguments for God’s existence was that made by Professor Hermann Weyl, mathematics professor of the University of Advanced
Studies at Princeton. Summed up by Prof. Paul Sabine, research physicist in a shorter, more concise way it says:
The unity in the order of pure thought and the unity in the order of the world stem from one divine Reality which is, in its unity, both subject and object. Apprehending inwardly this Reality, is the self, the observer, who can never be severed from the thing observed. Externalized, it is the order of nature that is recognized in the symbolic construction that is the image world of science. Thus God, the thinking self, and the universe of space-time, form a trinity, each term of which has meaning only in terms of all.

Associated with teleology for divine purpose, the supreme proof of God’s existence is offered by the chemist Donald Hatch Andrews. “In variance under transformation is the deepest test of significant reality.”
An example of this is offered by Dr. Gustaf Stromberg (Astarian) in the case of the living force fields surrounding man. Each is a symphony in which the chords, before being presented sequentially, co-existed simultaneously. Together in turn each chord performs its function at a given time that is essential to the harmony and future purpose of the “symphony” or organism. This field can reflect itself in a DNA molecule or permanent seed atom in minute form, or extend itself without limit—just as an acorn contains within itself the ultimate “force field” pattern of the potential oak tree. In all these guises it loses no essential significance, but persists eternally with all its multi-form attributes or characteristics. Dr. Andrews, whose main approach to matter was through music, gives the example that a musical composition, whether in the mind of the composer, written on lined paper, played on a piano, by an
orchestra, or silently traveling through the air during a broadcast on our television sets, loses no essential characteristic.
Or, for another example, the phrase “I love you” loses no meaning though it may be translated into over fifty different languages. How much more changeless and permanent, Andrews felt, the Supreme One must be.
Less mathematical but equally poetic are the utterances of many scientists, who simply reacted to God as human beings-among whom Albert Einstein is the best known. “My religion consists in humble admiration for the great Spirit which reveals itself in the many small details we can grasp by our greatly limited powers of understanding. The fairest thing we can experience is the mysterious.”
In Lesson 15 of the Second Degree, Dr. Earlyne comments that the phrase “In the Beginning” must be understood as the beginning of our particular dawn of manifestation. God is Alpha and Omega, knowing no beginning or end. She declares that tangible manifestations are periodic and operate in incomprehensible cosmic cycles. The Supreme Being alternates “days of activity or manifestation,” with “nights of passivity or silence.” The Ocean of Spirit includes abstract space, abstract duration and abstract motion. These concepts are not useful to the everyday mind that has not transcended itself. In Lesson 15, it is suggested that God is a “dark light, without circumference.” Dr. Earlyne does not dwell on this topic of supreme importance. The immediate spiritual welfare of the average man is apparently better served in another way.
Dr. Allan Hunter, famous Hollywood minister, declined to discuss the Godhead with his congregation. He felt it was useless since the
term was tainted by the concept of a vengeful Jehovah. He always referred to the deity by a sentence, “The God-we-see-reflected-in-Jesus Christ.”
Dr. Earlyne teaches that the Christ Substance, known as the Second Person of the Trinity, is the offspring of the coexisting positive and negative energies within the Godhead. She likens the Godhead to a great prairie at nightestablishing a lighted area in the midst of vast darkness for the purpose of manifesting a plane of cosmic substance, similar to an area lit by floodlights. The plane manifested, second to the Godhead, is called the Monadic Plane, where the Christ Substance or energy resides. This, then, with all its subtlety, is the first plane of manifestation. Subtle as it is, its atoms are still too heavy to return to the Unknown.
The subtlest tangible plane-the Monadicprojects five streams of energy-the four elements and the Christ substance-all infused at the core with the seed of the Supreme Being. These streams flowing from the Monadic Plane, constitute the Waters of space. The Christ substance creates the higher planes on which man’s Superconscious and Monad (spirit) function, as well as the sidereal kingdom of planets and stars that function on the plane of matter.
The principal gateway through which the Christ Substance reaches our planet is the sun. But this in turn, according to Dr. Earlyne, receives its energy from a central Spiritual Sun existing on the invisible planes. Our physical sun, in turn, when man is purified, issues the Christ Substance to the “sun” in man’s own body. This is the head centerthe Third Eye center. The Christ Substance thus becomes the tangible, measurable love energy discovered by Pitirim Sorokin.
Man, like the planet, is subject to the law of gravity. It is this fact that makes his salvation a problem in magnetism. Although the average man is bathed and surrounded by Christ Substance, he cannot consciously utilize it until his head center is magnetized to receive it. Until then, the energizing factor, the kundalini, is magnetized to lower centers by the lead and other base minerals in the blood. For instance, electricity cannot traverse wood, only copper wire. If such wire is wrapped around a lodestone or magnet, it can attract to itself many times its weight in substance.
In the same manner, the Christ Substance requires a conductor-the activated head center and the “wiring” - the antahkarana, or “rainbow bridge” of thought force, created by man’s own mental endeavors to reach the Oversoul. This results in heat, light and the acceleration of the atoms. The resulting “nuclear explosion” which occurs inside the brain is described as the birth of Christ in man.
The contention of Dr. Earlyne -that man can become immortal in the physical form-is not such a formidable challenge.

ASTARA STUDENT DISCOVERS 5TH DIMENSION
Before Astara’s Church and School was completed in its original location in Los Angeles, eminent Bell Laboratory physicist Dr. Garabed H. Paelian was invited to join Astara’s teaching staff. (His daughter is responsible for Astara’s illustrations in the Book of Life Degree Lessons).
Soon after, at Dr. Paelian’s suggestion, Dr. Gustaf Stromberg, the noted Mt. Wilson astronomer, also joined the staff. Thus, Astara instigated an historic effort to bridge philosophy, religion and science, realizing-as did Thomas Aquinas-that, “science and religion are from a single source.” The two physicists wrote many important lessons for Astara’s correspondence students. These constituted a kind of Rosetta Stone that equated parallel mystical and scientific concepts.
It was during this time that Dr. Stromberg consummated his ultimate life work. By coordinating the major scientific discoveries of the 20th century, the astronomer was obliged to add a fifth dimension to Einstein’s familiar fourdimensional universe. The five-dimensional universe is far from a meaningless discovery. By adding a new dimension, Stromberg produced a scientific base on which modern man could confirm the mystical teachings of the ages. Thus, for the first time in history, the existence of God, the soul’s immortality, and the explanation of psychic phenomena became subjects for the laboratory.
Almost immediately Dr. Stromberg’s hypothesis was validated by experiments at Harvard, Yale, and other universities.
