The Most Important Decision You´ll Make When Selling Your Property Your property is one of your most valuable assets. If you´re thinking about selling this spring, your most important decision will be one of the first ones you make: who will you entrust the sale of your property to? The agent you appoint is representing your interests as a seller. You will be (or should be!) seeing a lot of this person during your sale campaign so it´s vital you have confidence in their ability. Here are some questions to ask your agent: 1. How much experience have you had with similar types of properties in this area? What were the results? 2. Is auction or private sale the best sale method for my property and why? How experienced is the auctioneer you propose to use? 3. How will you market my property to make sure it stands out from the crowd in the busy spring market? Do you use tailored marketing solutions or generic marketing plans? 4. Do you offer a complimentary property stylist consultation for advice on presentation? Can you access reliable tradespeople quickly and cost-effectively? 5. Which personnel will handle the sale? Will the senior agent attend all open for inspections and provide feedback or will that be delegated to a junior team member? 6. Do you have access to extensive buyer networks including buyer´s advocates? 7. How many open for inspections will you conduct in a week? Will potential buyers be able to view your property at an open for inspection on Sundays? The difference between a good agent and a great one can mean the difference between a poor result and an outstanding one.
