Short films, feature films, youth films, documentaries, workshops, lectures; BUSTER has it all! As something new, the festival will be going on for two whole weeks. So there should be no excuse for not participating in the wonderful and fun events we have planned for you this year. BUSTER Film Festival offers a unique opportunity for parents, schools and youth activity centers to take their children and students to the movies. The many events and films have been carefully chosen and planned to reflect the new school reform and aims at offering rich cultural experiences. Grab a program or head on over to our website, spend about 15 minutes browsing the many exciting events and films, create an overview of what you want to see, and buy your tickets well in advance - Because they are going fast! In return we promise to offer you loads of magical films with thrilling stories that will both delight and educate the children, students etc. in ways that you cannot achieve in a classroom. Denmark’s largest competition for young filmmakers, OREGON, and “BUSTER’s Media Academy”, that offers various workshops for schools, are also experiencing an increasing success around the country. We want to say a big thank you to the NORDEA Foundation for supporting the initiative, which is now in its third year. Finally, we want to thank our audience, our generous sponsors, contributors, collaborators, cinemas, volunteers, interns, board of directors, friends and everyone who loves BUSTER and helps us make this festival happen every year! We wish you all a fantastic and magical festival!

GALA
Opening Gala: Pettson and Findus - A Little Nuisance, A Great Friendship
Closing Gala: Crumbs - All at Stake
Old man Peddersen lives in a small red house far up in Sweden, where he likes to chop wood, make funny inventions, fish and take care of his chickens. One day, his thoughtful neighbour Beda gives him a cat to keep him a company. Peddersen gives it the name Findus, and when he finds out that the cat can talk, a long inseparable friendship begins. Peddersen’s other neighbour Gustavsen has problems with his rooster that crows all the time and it is about to end up in Beda’s large cooking pot, but she has pity on it and asks Peddersen to take it in. He does so with pleasure, but Findus is not thrilled and suddenly feels a little left out, now that the new rooster gets all the attention. A delightful adaptation of Sven Nordqvist’s beloved children’s books for children and the young at heart! Watch the movie trailer here. There is always ordered chaos in the Crumb family. Crumb is sad that he hasn’t got a bike, because his school has a race against the neighbouring school. Mother is a teacher and will be fired if she doesn’t re-train for leadership. Father is a teacher at Crumb’s school and would rather just teach woodwork, where he can experiment with his inventions. The teenage brothers Danny and William, who cannot stand each other, quickly have to entrench themselves in their basement when the predators attack. My name is Aske Emil, I am 13 years old and I go to Maglehøjskolen. I live in both Copenhagen and in a smaller city outside Copenhagen called Ølstykke. I love theater, music and stand-up comedy. I like to play soccer too and although I am not very good at it I do not let that keep me from playing. Other than that, I spend a lot of time with my friends and I am really looking forward to be a part of the children’s jury on BUSTER Film festival.
My name is Isabella. I am 13 years old and I am in the 6th grade at Maglehøjskolen. I spend a lot of my free time with my friends and it is always a lot of fun. Apart from that, I am attending a church choir with a good friend of mine. My dream for the future is to be a professional actress! I like to be a part of the children’s jury because I like almost every movie and sitcom I see. When a movie really gets to me I immerse myself and I love to do research on the actors’ real names, age etc. The genres I like the most are action, thrillers, comedy and definitely fantasy.
My name is Clara Emilie Kobbernagel and I go to Vallerødskolen which is located in Hørsholm north of Copenhagen. I am 12 years old and my birthday is in November. My main hobbies are horseback riding and competitive swimming. I love watching and talking about movies so I am very happy to be a part of the children’s jury at BUSTER and I look forward to the experience.
My name is Josefine and I am in 6th grade at Vallerødskolen. I live north of Copenhagen with my family in a city called Rungsted. I am 12 years old and my birthday is the 20th of November. I like to play soccer and I spend a lot of time playing for my club BSF on elite level. I love soccer, spending time with my friends and my family. Recently I’ve read Hunger games and I really like the series and also the films. I like talking about and discussing the films I see which is also the main reason I am happy to be a part of the children’s jury at BUSTER Film festival 2014.
My name is Isabella and I am 12 years old - I will turn 13 in the end of July. I love spending time with my friends and I love to do creative things in my free time. Other than that, I like watching movies and I spend a lot of time on it. My favorites are romantic movies because I like love a lot but I also enjoy watching a comedy. In a few days I am going to see ‘The fault in our stars”. After I read the book I really wanted to see the film. I am looking forward to be a part of the BUSTER children’s jury because I enjoy commenting on and reviewing movies.
My name is Oskar and I am 13 years old. In my free time I am a boy scout and I also like to do karate but when I’m not doing that I like spend time watching movies with my brothers and the rest of our family. I especially like the fantasy genre but I like almost every film genre. Besides watching movies I like watching sitcoms and series because they tell more detailed stories over a longer period of time. I find the story much more exciting and attractive that way.

Justin & the Knights of Valour
Nicholas on Holiday
The boy Justin doesn’t have it easy. He earnestly dreams about becoming a valiant knight, like all the brave heroes from the history books. But the lawyers have taken over power in the kingdom and the knights are no longer in high demand. In addition, Justin is neither big nor strong and has more in common with a bookworm than a mail-clad sword swinger. However, he is determined to make the dream a reality and embarks on a perilous quest that offers both eccentric wizards, hard hitting maidens and fire breathing dragons... of sorts. ‘Justin and the Knights of Valour’ is a fun and entertaining, fast-paced animated film - a fantastic knight’s tale that
The school year is over and finally it’s time for the holidays! Little Nicholas goes to the beach with his parents and his grandmother, and here he makes a lot of new friends. There is Ben who’s staying at the holiday hotel, Freddy who eats everything, even raw fish, English George who talks funny, Paul who cries all the time and the annoying Christopher, who always wants to be right. And then there is also little Elizabeth, who follows him around all the time, making him nervous; because what if people think they are boyfriend and girlfriend? Along with the others, they get into a lot of trouble and it will be some time before they forget

I love short films, feature films, animation films, music videos and documentaries and I always speak my mind about the film I’m watching. It is actually difficult to explain what it is that makes a film experience extraordinary but I believe it is a mix of good storytelling, camera angles, music, lighting, and acting - Everything has to come together. It is my first time at BUSTER and I think it is going to be awesome.

BUSTER focuses on this issue and has invited Katrine Lund Skov, who works as manager for the Danish Nudging Network, to give an exciting presentation on brain behaviour, eating habits and how you can easily live a healthy life. This is the deeply fascinating story of Dutch girl Laura Dekker who sailed around the world alone, when she was only 14 years old. You have to have both nautical skills and confidence to face the challenges that Laura meets at sea, but this cool girl has it all in abundance. She was born on a boat in New Zealand and has salt water running through her veins, so Laura is in her natural element. The loneliness of the high seas she also conquers with her head held high. In fact, she was so uncomfortable with all the festivities that met her on the last day of her trip that she just wanted to

Being included and integration is very much on the agenda these years, and are usually two sides of the same coin when it comes to the classroom. In this French documentary we get in close on a number of children aged 11 to 15 years. They come from such different places in the world as Senegal, Venezuela, Serbia, Ireland, Ukraine, China and Libya. They are all part of a unique ‘special class’ in Paris, focusing on language and taking into consideration the children’s different cultural backgrounds, in order to equip them for a future in French society - on equal terms with
everyone else. A sober and poignant insight into a problem, that in an increasingly globalized society can be said to affect schools throughout the entire world. After the screening at the Cinematheque on September 25th there will be a presentation.

How has the Internet influenced a generation that has never experienced a world without constant access to social media, online games and porn? And what are the consequences of their virtual life on the web? There is plenty of food for informed thought in the documentary ‘InRealLife’, which examines the impact of technology on our lives. The Internet has also become the place where we uncritically share our private information, and where companies like Google, Yahoo and Apple store everything down to the smallest detail. Bamse with the blue woolly hat and blue pants has for decades been known to Danish readers of comics. For a while he even had his own magazine in Denmark. He is the world’s strongest bear, because he eats Grandma’s power honey. The friends include among others the white rabbit Little Jumpy and Clever the turtle. But even though Bamse and his friends are strong and good, they have to shape up when Grandma is kidnapped and they also have to fight an entire town of criminals in the guise of a cunning fox and a larger gang of bears. It is surprising that this famous cartoon character has not made it onto the big screen before, but now it’s finally here! A delightful adventure for the smallest audience.

Sofus the teddy understands all children’s languages. He goes out into the world by boat, train, horse, plane and parachute to glide down to a place where there are children. In these episodes from the brand new Ramasjang series ‘Sofus’, we join the teddy visiting Swedish Hugo who has asthma, two twins in Honduras who take Sofus to the market, Norwegian Ingrid who wants to bake waffles and the birthday-boy Samrat in Nepal. Sofus lands in Sweden, where Hugo lives. Hugo has asthma and has to go to the doctor. It’s not always fun to be examined, but Hugo does a great job and afterwards he himself gets to examine Sofus with the doctor’s equipment. At home Hugo plays with his good friend and Sofus makes “Sofus fun” with both of them. The day ends with Friday treats, a bedtime story and a gift from Hugo to Sofus. Sonny lands in Norway, where Ingrid lives. Ingrid has her best friend over for a visit. They want to bake waffles and sell them by the side of the road, but it’s hard to bake waffles when they both want to do everything themselves. Sofus makes “Sofus fun” and it helps the

Instead the twins take to Sofus to the market, where he makes “Sofus fun” with bananas, so they can’t help but laugh. The day ends with a prayer and a gift from the twins to Sofus. Sonny lands in Nepal, where Samrat lives. It’s Samrat’s birthday and he has invited all his best friends. He waits and waits. Are they coming yet? He is looking after them and starts to get worried that they forgot about the party. Everyone comes and brings presents, and Sofus has a special surprise for Samrat and Sofus also gets a gift from Samrat before going to sleep.
The subject is Rasmus Klump in this animation workshop at the Storm P. Museum, where children can tell their own story using the famous characters; Rasmus, Pingo, Skæg and Pelle! Animation is the obvious method, when children have to engage in film production for the first time, because it is easy to use, and creativity is in focus. Inspired by the museum’s unique Rasmus Klump exhibit, consisting of original drawings, and templates of the characters from this universe, even the youngest can work with this very simple and pedagogical stop-motion technique and thereby create their own little animation.
The project is supported by the Frederiksberg Municipality Culture and Leisure Committee.

When he steals his father’s typewriter in order to get money to run away from home, he gets caught and is instead sent to a home for juvenile delinquents. Marieme is involuntarily an outsider, fighting a turbulent existence at home, an unsympathetic school and the jungle law of suburban Paris. The nice girl is drawn in by a group of girls who are street-smart, spewing out toxic words and need no excuse to turn provocative and aggressive. In this new group friendship, Marieme finds the sense to togetherness, which she craves. The film, which screened at Cannes this year, takes an unusually sharp look at

Or do they? Because it is okay to be sad, especially when you are ill with cancer. BUSTER, The Children’s Cancer Foundation and the research program ‘Respect’ invite to a talk about the problems that can occur when you yourself or a friend is affected by cancer. Akkie is a tough girl who loves to play football. Although her harsh classmate Joep thinks it is a sport for boys, Akkie doesn’t let it get her down. But when one day she is diagnosed with leukaemia, her life is suddenly turned upside down. However Akkie doesn’t plan on just giving up and luckily her classmates do what they can to support her - even Joep, who is struggling with his own problems at home. This heart warming little gem has been a fully deserved huge success in its native country the Netherlands, and is an incredibly delicate and uplifting film about a very difficult subject. CRIME
CRIME Do you ever stop to wonder why some people end up committing a crime? BUSTER has decided to take a closer look at the subject of crime and find out whether or not all people who commit crimes are, in some extend, wicked, what some of the reasons might be for committing a crime and what is actually characterized as a crime. Join us when we visit a real courtroom at Frederiksberg in the middle of Copenhagen, experience real graffiti-artists at work and take a stroll around the city with the Copenhagen Police Museum who will show you how people have used the streets to rebel against the law.
REBELLION on Nørrebro
All Rise...
Through the years, the people of Nørrebro have repeatedly made aware their dissatisfaction with those in power by taking to the streets. Join us on a rebellious tour of Nørrebro when BUSTER and The Police Museum invite you to the movies and a city walk. On March 1, 2006, the police cleared the Youth House on Jagtvej 69. Subsequently, violent riots broke out in the streets of Copenhagen. With unique access, the film follows the young people fight during the last six months. Through the main character Mads, we get a unique insight into what made Jagtvej 69 something special for a large group of young people, and why it eventually could go so wrong. It is a film about youth, rebellion and radicalism. And about a city that may leave less and less room for the quirky and the misfits. The walk takes students out in the local area and back in time, for here they get to hear about the Copenhagen
Many films end when the criminal is handcuffed then put in a police car with flashing blue lights, which then drives off out of the picture. But what actually happens after that? And are there any mitigating circumstances for the crime? Get some of the answers when BUSTER invites us into the Frederiksberg Courtroom. In ‘Cracks in the Concrete’ 15-year-old Mika dreams of becoming a rapper and earns his way by selling drugs for the district’s unpredictable drug gangster, who he gets more and more indebted to. When it all looks completely hopeless, he meets the adult Ertan, who has just come out of jail and who sees himself and his own mistakes in Mika. But can he manage to help him before it is too late? Information and clues about Ertans past comes in small pieces. At the same time, we see Mikas inevitable walk down the exact same path, which once sent Ertan behind bars. A strong, raw and relentless drama from Vienna’s dark side, in the same league as the nail-biting Danish film Northwest.

SEXUALITY ON MY MIND
SEXUALITY ON MY MIND BUSTER never shies away from difficult or embarrassing subjects, and this year the focus will be on the many aspects of sexuality. Meet 15-year-old Sieger who finds himself suddenly in love with another boy or sink your teeth into a sensual vampire drama that is sure to make your cheeks flush and your toes curl, when BUSTER in collaboration with MIX Skolefilm sparks a debate about the important topic of sexuality.
Sex! Sex! Sex! - Film and Discussion Tags: #Educational material, #Sexuality, #Coming-of-age. Subjects: Danish, Sex education. Sex, breasts, identity, boundaries and love of the same sex - BUSTER focuses on the many different aspects of sexuality. Meet author Sarah Engell, who is currently being published with the book ‘21 måder at dø på’. This short film package offers both vampires, werewolves, endocrine disruption and religion, and all the films have in common, that they circle around the subject of young people’s navigation of this crazy and exciting, but also tabooed subject. Before the films there will be a visit by author Sarah Engell. She will read aloud from her new book and talk about the many taboos young people encounter every day. The film is presented in collaboration with Carlsen Publishing. The Prayer: The young Catholic Claudia openly shares her fantasies with the Virgin Mary about the somewhat older, delicious upstairs neighbour Jens, who is a cook and who she has a mega crush on. Sex fixated and bursting with teenage hormones Claudia can only think about losing her virginity - and preferably to Jens. But how should she go about it? Tits: Sam is 13 years and the epitome of being hormonally challenged: he has breasts! Although he does everything he can to hide it, he can’t avoid being blackmailed by one of the school bullies. The embarrassing topic is tackled with a sense of humour in this glorious original short film.
Growing Pains: The boy Fabian lives with his controlling mother, who is a veterinarian. When the girl Felicia moves in next-door, Fabian’s hormones really start racing. But what do you do when you cannot control your animal instincts? Yolo: The trio Kimmi, Sally and Nancy are inseparable friends, partying away at their empty school at night. But Kimmi is secretly in love with Nancy and to make things even worse, she is a vampire! A stylish and elegant film that oozes exquisiteness! THE PRAYER / TRO, HÅB OG SEX Denmark 2011, 34 min. Boys - Film and Discussion
Tags: #Educational material, #Sexuality, #Homosexuality. Subjects: Danish, Social studies. What lies behind being gay and why can it be so hard to say it out loud? Join us when BUSTER invites you to an open and honest talk with Normstormerne who will articulate taboos and make the audience more aware of what it means to be young, have raging hormones and not feel at ease with one’s own sexuality. In ‘Boys’ we meet 15-year-old Sieger, who is a promising athlete who has just been selected to represent the school’s relay race team. Here he meets his peer Marc, and they become good friends - in fact such good friends that Sieger must admit to himself that there is more than just friendship between them. Unlike Marc who has come to terms with his sexuality, Sieger tries at first to escape from his feelings by pushing Marc away and finding himself a nice girl. But true love is hard to ignore, and it becomes harder and harder for Sieger to continue lying to himself. ‘Boys’ is a different kind of coming-of-age story told with down-toned humour and empathy. A brave film about daring to live life - even if you do not know if the water is too deep.
After the film, a volunteer from Normstormerne will talk to the pupils about the film and its themes. Normstormerne is a free offer to all 7th to 10th graders in Aarhus and Copenhagen, where the aim is to reduce bullying and not feeling comfortable with yourself when it comes to sex and sexuality.

Christian has just moved to Oslo to complete his studies and he has never had much luck with the ladies, so his new friends decide to teach him the art of scoring. Film Production as a Supportive Teaching Method
Make Stop Motion Films in the Classroom
Support teaching will be introduced into the curriculum with the new school reform, and a film production is ideal as an interdisciplinary project where teachers and educators can complement each other and support the students where they are strongest. Workshop for learning teams: two or more persons enrol per school. Film school is an activity that calls for many disciplines and skills. Ideas are needed for the story, aesthetic considerations concerning what will work, set design, technical skill in relation to equipment and editing, and not least it requires a team effort. BUSTER GIVES IT A GO: WORKSHOPS FOR SCHOOLS At BUSTER’s media academy you and your class can give the production of digital media a go. In these intensive workshops, the pupils get the opportunity to create their very own media productions, be it a futuristic animated scenery at Brede Industri Museum or a self portrait. In ‘Selfie - With an Ironic Twist’ we work with body, staging and animation and in ‘My Personal Puzzle’ produce the studends their own personsl documentaries. Educational material has been developed for a number of these workshops, and it is expected that the classes come to the workshops prepared.
Animation in a Time Capsule
Make an App With AppLab
All kinds of stories, universes and materials can be animated when we unleash our creativity and send off the time capsule; because here ‘time’ is the theme! Animation is easy to use, and here we focus on creativity. We will work with the simple and pedagogical stopmotion technique, where students have to animate their own stories and characters. The theme is ‘time’, and the time capsule can both travel back in time to the dinosaurs, medieval Vikings or even the Battle of Hastings, and to the future to a science-fiction scenario or how about a journey light years into space?
Without a smartphone you can design and produce an app in a fun and creative way in this workshop, where students are making an app that uses Google map, combined with their favourite place. The workshop tests the students’ hand at the process from idea generation to design and programming, based on their visual expression. It is easy to develop apps as a relevant learning tool where students both learn to reflect and cooperate on issues such as the mobile phone’s features, media behaviour, digital imaging and the role of applications in their daily lives.

In 2050, robots will be a natural part of society. There will be ‘build a robot’ laboratories where you can tailor make your very own robot. But what happens when the system goes haywire? This scenario is played out in Brede Work’s installation ‘The Machine’, where the pupils themselves play the main characters and even design the robots that come to life on the assembly line. We will work with the animation technique ‘pixilation’, which animates both people and things. The special feature of this technique is that you can do tricks and manipulation, which you can’t make with the ordinary real movie. In the creative process the pupil’s ability

A production soundtrack is often overlooked, but nonetheless plays a very important role in the narrative and universe of films, computer games and television programmes. Therefore, in this workshop we focus on the film’s different sounds including music, sound and effects, in order to raise the students’ awareness and analytical skills in relation to this often overlooked part of cinematic expression. Frederiksberg Filmværksted opens its doors to this workshop, where there will be an educational

Computer Games Development
Motion Comic - The Living Cartoon
Games on the mobile, iPad or computer - at school or in your spare time! There are games everywhere and it is both entertaining and challenging to develop games, because you strengthen your creative, logical and analytical skills. The workshop starts with a brief introduction to the technique and the free programme used to build a computer game. Then pupils have to brainstorm ideas and hash out a plot for the game, only to plunge into the actual game production itself. Here you have the opportunity to work with a genre or theme, which can be an extension of another theme
Images, sounds and words are the key elements when students have to create their own ‘motion comic’, which is a film genre that mixes the comic with the animation movie. Frederiksberg Filmværksted opens its doors to this workshop where students will work with a good story. We will be playing and experimenting with narrative sequence, image composition and depth perspective, music, sound effects and timing. The basic material is a manga universe, which makes it possible to work with genres such as adventure or horror. The workshop introduces cinematic instruments used in film,

TV reports, documentary portraits and reality series all give their own versions. With the students’ own videos and photos captured on the mobile, they create their own personal self-portrait. In the workshop, students will be working on their material in order to build up a personal picture collage using associative cutting techniques as well as music and text/ narration. We examine how the images work, experiment with different expressions
and combine images from moods, colours and shapes. The aim is to teach students how to play with the film medium, cutting techniques and how to create a visual personal puzzle.

- This is How The Cinematographer Works! On a production, the photographer works on what should be seen in the picture, how the camera should be moved and how light and colours are able to create the mood in the film. In this workshop, students get insight into the photographer’s work methods, theory about the camera work and an introduction to the technical and aesthetic possibilities and effects. In the workshop, students will also get hands-on experience with the camera, as they themselves have to work with
the camera, lighting, sound, image cropping, etc. and in 5-7 person groups, they have to film short scenes where there will be ‘cut in camera’. The teacher is a trained professional cinematographer. The workshop is offered in collaboration with Station Next.
- An Introduction to Scriptwriting A good idea or a good story is the heart of any film, but the idea or story has to be developed before it becomes a script, which is the focal point of the entire production. Students have to develop their ideas through various activities, and start to write their own scripts in this workshop, which provides an insight into the various stages of manuscript development. Using theories, manuscripts and movie clips from professional films and student films, students receive tools and inspiration to
tell and structure their own stories, and they become aware of cinematic expression and applications. The teacher is a trained professional screenwriter. The workshop is offered in collaboration with Station Next.

The old anatomical theatre at Medical Museion, where the up and coming surgeons once learned all about anatomy and dissection, is the setting for a very special film screening on Nazi doctor Josef Mengele and his grisly experiments. Who says you can always recognize evil, especially when it’s smiling right at you? We are in Argentina just after World War II. Here we encounter 12-year-old Lilith and her family who meet a lone German man on the way to their hotel. He presents himself as a doctor and becomes especially interested in Lilith, who is small in stature, and her mother, who is pregnant with twins. Lilith’s father, however is suspicious - and for good reason. For the man turns out to be the notorious Nazi doctor Dr. Joseph Mengele! The fascinating history doesn’t play on the evil element, but is told from a child’s inquisitive point of view. Lilith sees a hero who might help her where the rest of the world sees a monster. A varied and interesting, but also disturbing film. After the film there will be a guided tour of the Medical Museion’s exciting exhibitions. The exhibits focus on health and disease, past and present. As an extension of the film, the tour will be based on the physician’s role over time and also show how medical research is done today.

Get closer to the war in Afghanistan and listen to how it is experienced with Danish eyes, when Buster shows the movie ‘Brothers in Arms’ at the National Museum with presentations by the film’s director. There is also an opportunity to explore The Royal Danish Arsenal Museum exhibition ‘Den fjerne krig’. In ‘Brothers in Arms’ Eagle is platoon leader in Afghanistan and cooperates with the local police captain Fareed. Across the cultural divide their men fight side by side in the war-torn region. But when one of the Afghan policemen suddenly turns his weapon against the Danes and presses the trigger, cooperation between the two leaders is put to the test. In a country where nothing is black and white and where corruption permeates everything, it’s hard to tell friend from foe, especially when you do not speak the same language and trust can end up meaning the difference

BUSTER’S GREEN WORLD
BUSTER’S GREEN WORLD 2014 marked the year for when Copenhagen was honored with the prestigious title of being the greenest capital of Europe. To celebrate this BUSTER has arranged a series of films and events that puts the theme of a greener capital on the agenda. So come and get your nails dirty in the new urban garden at the Museum of Copenhagen, experience the futuristic and sustainable building Dome of Visions or try your hand at urban planning at The Danish Architecture Centre. The future of our green capital is in your hands!
City Planner For a Day
Nature City - Film and Green Fingers
What does the future city look like, and what should it do? This can be addressed in the course ‘Sustainable Cities’. Try your hand as a city planner when the Danish Architecture Centre invites you inside. For more than 40 years architect and urban planner Jan Gehl, has studied how people interact with each other and how they use the urban space. This has led to several international projects, in which he has made use of his observations and created more harmonious and functional solutions that put people in the centre and moves the growing traffic away from the urban space. The film takes us to New York, Melbourne, Dhaka and even Copenhagen, and common to them all, is that they contain Jan Gehl’s visions of a more pedestrian-friendly urban space. A fantastic and informative documentary about the world’s growing “Mega cities”, as well as a fascinating insight into Gehl’s projects around the world.
BUSTER and Copenhagen Museum join forces to create a day city nature that is guaranteed to lay roots and get good ideas going. Aunt Hilda lives in a huge greenhouse away from the city noise and pollution. She is an avid environmentalist and loves all her plants. But as the cynical businesswoman Dolores gets her hands on a genetically modified plant that claims to be able to feed the entire world, while being an alternative energy source, Hilda smells something fishy. And it turns out she right too, in that the plant is highly unstable; so now Aunt Hilda has to prep her green fingers and save the earth. A both silly and charming cartoon that sparkles with imagination and that elegantly puts focus on the environment.

As part of BUSTER’s focus on the green life in the city, Danish Architecture Centre offers the whole city’s classes the opportunity to try out as city planners for a day. BUSTER will show the exciting documentary ‘The Human Scale’ about Jan Gehl, who has become world famous for his ideas about how to create ‘life between buildings’ and plan cities that are good to live in.
After the movie, the classes will work in the center’s Architecture Laboratory, where throughout the course ‘Sustainable Cities’ will have a role in a number of issues that are central to the future of sustainable cities. The game has five themes - and this event will focus on the theme “Green city”. The film is presented in collaboration with Sharing Copenhagen.

After the film the event continues at the Museum of Copenhagen. In the museum’s city garden, among the flowers, herbs and beanstalks, we examine what the city’s nature actually is and what it can be. We discuss what a good town is, and talk about how we can help to create a green, blooming city. In the exhibition ‘Drømmen om en By’ we’ll try to plan and build the green dream city, just like the one Shane Brox is starting to build. With LEGO bricks we’ll build trees and green areas, skate parks and promenades, houses with grass on the roof,
and whatever else we can come up with. The film is presented in collaboration with Sharing Copenhagen.

Inspired by the museum’s unique Rasmus Klump exhibit, consisting of original drawings, and templates of the characters from this universe, even the youngest can work with this very simple and pedagogical stop-motion
technique and thereby create their own little animation. The project is supported by the Frederiksberg Municipality Culture and Leisure Committee.

Should it be fantasy, horror or do you have a completely different idea? The workshop starts with a brief introduction of the programme we’ll be using. Then you need to outline different ideas and hash out the plot of your game, and then finally begin the actual game production.
