Yes, it might be one of the most heard cliches, but there‘s some truth to it: You find the most beautiful paradises are found at your doorstep, you just have to look hard enough.
In the winter of 2020 we spent a long weekend in a real oasis, that has been hidden from our eyes for so long. A hidden hut, so close to home that we could even see the city and the highway through the windows. How often must we have driven by this spot without having spared a thought about skiing.
We spent three days amidst the mountains, surrounded by treeruns, spines and couloirs and terrain that reminds us of Canada and Alaska.
Three days of ski, eat, sleep, repeat.
As simple as that.
The trip was accomanied by El Flamingo Films. The mini-documentary has landed a spot in the official selection of the BANFF Fiilm Festival 2020.
