After many weeks of Corona lockdown with the family, Karen Eller decides: its too much. She grabs her gravel bike, basics gear for cooking, camping, warm clothing and spare parts for the bike, and leaves on a foggy morning. Her route leeds her eastwards through the mountains, along the border between the Bavaria and Austria. Her goal is to see the Königssee in Berchtesgaden in real. An old oil painting that has been hanging on the wall at her guest toilet for many years shows the lake in all its glory. Three days, two nights in a tent, riding the bike on beautiful gravel paths and singletrails, to reach the final destination. Karen finds the Königssee in a way that one may never see it again. Lonely, glittering and without any tourist crowds.
