GOKAI
Restaurant | Marbella, Spain Creative and executive project Refurbishment project of a Nikkei food restaurant, which is Japanese food mixed with typical ingredients from Peru. The concept of this project is focused on the cultural mix of these two countries that is reflected in the space through the chosen materials, colours and formation of space.
GOKAI | Restaurant
In the entrance area, the lounge and the cocktail bar represents the arrival of Japanese immigrants in Peru. For this reason, sober colors and the use of wood predominate, representing Japanese culture. Entering the main room, the use of colorful textiles and the rope on the ceiling represents the beginning of the cultural miscegenation between the two cultures. Finally, upon reaching the show cooking bar, in the background, the collection experience is completed with the presence of vivid colors and Peruvian patterns, and also with the roof strings at different levels generating texture, to represent the complete integration.
