// urban design/masterplanning _Nun’s Island, Montréal, Québec <<NunTip>> collaborators//davidpouliot christianducharme
NunTip is the final phase of the development of Nun’s Island, being the last available undevelopped land. A commercial street, waterfront park connected to the regional bicycle network as well as housing are all planned for the area.
2009
The most prominent feature of the development is the public park located at the end of the commercial street and plaza.

// urban design/masterplanning _Van-Horne Overpass, MontrĂŠal, QuĂŠbec <<Retissage>> collaborators//sergegallant florianvilain
This end of studies project, is a study in urban renewal and community masterplanning. We chose to reinvigorate a currently neglected urban industrial site we identified as a rupture in the surrounding urban fabric and proceeded with a resewing of the city. The site, centered around the VanHorne overpass is sandwiched between two neighbourhoods known for their artistic communities.
Reimagining this abandoned urban landscape was the objective. Therefore, we created green spaces, changed the grain of the urban fabric to better suit the human scale and considered cross-city transportation as well as a multitude of other factors. A full report detailing zoning and land use as well as a development strategy was also produced.

// community masterplanning _Mont-Tremblant, Québec <<La Légende>> collaborator//catherinerioux
2009
A masterplanned community development situated in the ski-resort town of Mont-Tremblant, Québec. Manitonga Soutana “La Légende” is a 1.4 million square meter property comprising 95 high luxury residences with an estimated value of over 300 million dollars and all of the related civil as well as leisure infrastructure. The objective was to preserve fully 80% of the site in it’s current state, create and preserve connections to the surrounding national park and protect local faunae and florae. The end product had to be invisible from the surrounding countryside because it is situated on the slopes of MontTremblant, the highest mountain in the area as well as the driving factor of the local economy. The residences shall all have to conform to a LEED-inspired building code and the road infrastructure was reduced
to a minimum, in this case, between 4 and 5 m in total width (two lanes), thereby reducing traffic speeds. Every single home was located with the help of detailed laser topographic maps and GPS markers from on-site visits. The sites were selected to reduce ecological and visual impact while at the same time maximizing real-estate value. Displacement corridors were preserved to allow deer and other animals access to the 1.2 million square meters of forest within the site and to the immense national park surrounding the site on three sides.

_Mario Lemieux Estate, Mont-Tremblant, QuĂŠbec <<Pool House Concept>>
2009
The mandate was to design a relaxation area adjacent to the pool in a style similar to that of the house under construction and that integrated columns, a fireplace and stairs descending into the infinity pool.

The Montréal Municipal Court had problems with damage due to skateboarders using the furniture and plaza as a makeshift skate-park. I was tasked with designing measures to prevent further damage that would also integrate properly with the current installations.

_Sainte-Élisabeth Bar, Montréal, Québec <<Terrace Makeover>>
2008 // 24h day academic charette
The Sainte-Élisabeth Bar Terrace is a well known and rather unique Montréal establishment characterized by a large vertical space completely covered by vines.
collaborator//sergegallant
In this quick design charette our team opted to drastically change the dynamic of the space and create a feature that would be a sure conversation-starter all the while enhancing the terrace’s unique nature. A suspended monolith was chosen as our main intervention.
