Ice Station Design-Build January 2017
6
The team-based design-build project revolved around steam bent wood to reflect the motion movements on the ice. Overall the project emphasizes on understanding how wood reacts to bending. Ultimately, the project encapsulates the notion of a nest/ hut to allow for movement through it, while providing comforting resting station.

Log Carving Sculpture September 2016
18
This first project was an imperative lesson in understanding wood. I wanted to carve the wood and learn to “listen how wood reacts to it. Ultimately, the sculpture created its own beautiful soft shapes, ephasizing an important lesson towards material and design in architecture. That wood is a living material.

Paper Form Exploration October 2016
22
This model investigates the relationship between two dimensional and three dimensional form. This exploration presented the opportunity to manipulate and experiement with paper to create volumes. Overall, this investigation was a valuable lesson towards how experimental model making is imperative towards design development.

Room for Light, Colour, Shadow and Time October 2016
26
This project investigated a room of light, shadow, colour and time through wax experimentation. Each panel give a dynamic natural form of wax, giving off colour and natural shadows. Through this lesson, I learned how the naturally unfolding material can become its own thing and the value of design experimentation.
