ved! l o v n I Get Why Here? There are over 100,000 people deep in the Andes Mountains with no Christian radio station and few secular stations. Due to the severe terrain, there is a void of radio or television stations, making it easier to provide a positive alternative to existing stations.

Why Now? A mature, national church located in this area has prayed for many years for the possibility of operating a Christian radio station to reach the many towns and settlements that are hard to reach

Due to the remoteness and severity of the geography, some radio and television signals can’t make it to the towns and settlements scattered throughout the mountains and valleys.

creates an amazing opportunity to reach a large number of people in a very cost effective manner. There are already many well trained professionals who have volunteered to make this project a possibility. A strong and mature local church will support the operation of the station as a vital ministry outreach to the community.

The province of Dos de Mayo is nestled amongst several other provinces in the Department of Huánuco, Peru. Located approximately 12 hour’s bus trip from the capital of Lima, it is an area populated by the descendants of the Incas and is isolated from much of the development of the rest of the country due to the terrain which reaches as high as 18,000 feet in many places and the treacherous roads one has to travel on to reach this area.

Total cost including purchasing the land, construction of the building, obtaining the equipment and antennae is estimated at $20,000.00. This is an extremely inexpensive way to potentially reach over 100,000 people in a wide spread area. Many of the population are functionally illiterate farmers who scratch out a meager existence planting crops and potatoes in one of the most severe geographical areas outside of the Himalayas.
