Aceasta a fost cosntruita in anul 1853, in zona Obor-Lizeanu, de catre Gheorghe Assan si Ioan Martinovici, care aveau deja deschise in oras cateva bacanii. In prezent, moara este considerata monument istoric.

Bucharest is meant to be, beyond appearance, full of nature and color. We imagine parallel worlds or recall memories that we conjure of that place we pass it by. How would it be not to have been there, or even to be different than it is? Let’s bring into place something we want it to be, a phantasy, a bit of poetry.

Roxana Constantinescu & Alfred Schupler ‘Crucified Faith / Credinta rastignita’

Roxana Constantinescu & Alfred Schupler ‘Crucified Faith / Credinta rastignita’

Ortodoxia, interpretata deficient naste un comportament bizar , in timpul slujbelor unii credinciosi se imbrancesc degenerand chiar in violente verbale, uitand motivul prezentei lor in casa Domnului. Pe fondul interferentei precrestinismului cu ortodoxia , a facut posibila prezenta unor ritualuri pagane pana in zilele noastre, bunaoara unii bunici isi ridica nepotii si ii misca circular deasupra defunctului. In mod surprinzator preotii tolereaza asemenea manisfestari.

Dora Hrund Gisladottir ‘Red light’

URANUS BOULEVARD OF BROKEN DREAMS Uranus is a future boulevard, near the center of Bucharest, already planned by Ceaușescu. The City Hall, who decided to build it now, is following the dictator’s plans. Its place is supposed to be between the Victoriei Square and the Palace of Parliament. Many old buildings will be or are have been already destroyed to make room for the avenue. The people living there were given money or were moved at the periphery of Bucharest, probably in Pantelimon, a not very friendly neighborhood). In our journey to discovering stories of the people who were evacuated from their homes to making room for a larger street, we have found no one there.
