05. ISTORIA PALATULUI ROZNOVANU HISTORY OF THE ROZNOVANU PALACE
The Palace is the residence of the family Rosetti-Roznovanu and has been built between 1830-1832. Being the most beautiful building in town, it was holding the most beautiful proms, concerts, also hosting kings like Carol I and Ferdinand because of it’s beauty and hospitality. The golden age didn’t last long; Nunuta Roznovanu was forced to sell the Palace because of debts, the buyer , Vasile Pogor, changing it in the Town Hall.

Meet experiences enjoy The AIE Association was founded in the year of 2013 to help the students of different cultures with their problems. After more studies and interviews we thought a campaign would be the best idea to bring the students together. Our campaign encourages the intercultural exechanges between Romanian and foreign students. The activities prepared for the program provide opportunities for them to interact and become friends.

This publication is the outcome of the second workshop conducted by andrews:degen, a graphic design studio based in Amsterdam. Students from the graphic, interior and instrial design department of the university ‘George Enescu’, in Iași, Romania, explored one week their city from different angles. Iași is one of the largest cities and a municipality in Romania. Located in the Moldavia region, Iași has traditionally been one of the leading centres of romanian social, cultural, academic and artistic life. Iași itself has a population of 263,410 (the fourth most populous romanian city) and accommodates over 75,000 students. The topics are based on social issues, personal stories and visual communication in the city of Iași. Students developed interventions, campaigns and more poetic visual statements. Design thinking as a method for research, exploration and social problem solving in a densed urban environment. This project was made possible thanks to the support of the Deutsches Kulturzentrumin Iași and the Universitatea de Arte ‘George Enescu’ Iaşi.
