Alderton Grange Alderton Gloucestershire

Alderton Grange Alderton

Alderton Grange offers a superb selection of two, three and four bedroom homes in the delightful village of Alderton, located almost equidistant from Evesham, Tewkesbury and Cheltenham. Alderton is a delightful rural village, surrounded by beautiful Gloucestershire farming country. Whilst the village can trace its roots back to the Iron Age and boasts a wealth of historic listed buildings, it is also a thriving 21st century community, which strives to reflect the distinctive qualities of the area whilst maintaining its special quality for future generations.

If the village hall is modern and functional, St Margaret’s church, whose current structure dates back to the 14th and 15th century, is an ancient Gothic style stone building which retains a Saxon font and a few nicely carved fragments of Norman stonework. For getting to and from Alderton, there is an early morning bus service to Cheltenham and there are some daytime buses operating during the week and on Saturday to enable residents without cars to shop in Tewkesbury and Bishop’s Cleeve.

As you’d expect from a proper English village, there’s a charming 16th century thatched roofed inn, The Gardner’s Arms, where all the family can come and enjoy home cooked, locally sourced produce. There’s also a busy local shop and post office, where you can get all your every day essentials as well as local cheeses and produce in season.

If you can’t find what you need in the Alderton Village Store, a short drive will take you to Bishop’s Cleeve and the nearest superstore. Just a little further away is the popular tourist town of Tewkesbury. Here you’ll find a wide range of shops and restaurants, together with a theatre, museums and the beautiful Abbey. There is a market held on Wednesdays and Saturdays and a monthly Farmers' Market.

For those moving to Alderton Grange with young children, The Oak Hill Church of England Primary School operates in two different locations, for 4-7 year olds and 7-11 year olds, with a mini bus service taking care of transport to the second site in nearby Dumbleton. There is also a preschool, baby and toddler group, called the Alderton Acorns, which operates out of the local village hall.

Located on the western edge of the village and surrounded by open countryside, playing fields and allotments, Alderton Grange will be an idyllic place to live. There are no fewer than seven delightful designs to choose from, all built from high quality materials in a range of carefully chosen finishes, so the hardest part will be deciding which one best suits you.

The Name on the Finest Homes What is the indefinable quality about a Charles Church home that makes it so special, and makes so many aspire to owning one?

When Charles and Susanna Church laid the foundations of their first home in 1965, they were doing more than building a desirable residence. They were turning their vision of the perfect home into a benchmark for quality and a legacy for future generations to appreciate. Over four decades later, their principles remain the cornerstone of every home we build and it is the firm emphasis of the Group to combine quality with aesthetically pleasing designs and traditional building techniques. This philosophy has led us to enjoy an unrivalled reputation for over forty years. We pride ourselves not only on providing excellent examples of traditional construction and craftsmanship but also on the elegance and character of our homes which are designed to harmonise with their natural surroundings. We utilise fully the interior space of our homes combining every modern and efficient convenience within classic, timeless and elegant exteriors.

We recognise the importance of providing our customers with the opportunity to add character to their home through a wide choice of colour schemes, making certain that quality, service and value are inherent in all we undertake. We also have a clear and practical approach to sustainability and fully support the Government's Code for Sustainable Homes. The national code standards are an important factor in the way we build and design both our developments and our homes. Our exacting standards and attention to detail at every stage of the construction process play an integral part in achieving a totally unmistakable quality and sense of style. This unique combination of principles ensures that our homes and developments continue to win an ever increasing number of prestigious consumer, industry and media awards. The ultimate winner, however, is the buyer of a Charles Church home.
