We don’t charge for our advice. Instead, we charge a fee for processing your mortgage application—it’s usually around £450 but depends on your circumstances. We can also provide mortgage insurance that will give you peace of mind should the unexpected happen.

Anti-money laundering checks: simple and secure

As part of the selling process, we need to carry out anti-money laundering (AML) checks to confirm your identity and confirm ownership of the property. These checks are a legal requirement and are similar to the process of proving your identity when you open a new bank account. We’ll guide you through every step to make the process as smooth as possible.

We have partnered with Credas, who offer a best-in-class identity verification platform to ensure accuracy and security of your data. The slick, easy-to-use platform saves you time, allowing you to focus on what matters most. Easily upload your documents using a smartphone, computer or laptop to securely submit documents at your convenience – or if you’d prefer to pop into branch, so that one of our team can assist you, that’s absolutely fine too.

Administrative fee

We charge an administrative fee of £62.50 plus VAT (£75 including VAT) for carrying out these anti-money laundering checks. There’s nothing to pay upfront, this fee will only be payable upon completion, and when we are entitled to our commission fee. We are committed to compliance, and this covers technological expenses, investment in staff training, document processing and checks, and additional insurance costs.
