DR.ME Flag
DR.ME SAYS MAKE A FLAG Brief Work together to create your own flag. Be experimental remember it doesn't necessarily have to look like a traditional flag but keep in mind what makes a flag a flag... Only rule is it must be rectangular, landscape or portrait whichever you prefer.

For this brief I was paired with Ross and Nigel. We decided to go with the idea of a waving flag. This would be re-created using a hand waving gesture. We created these gestures by scanning in a hand while waving which created some interesting results. Above are some examples of the waving hands we scanned in.

We decided on the waving hand above as we believed it was most reminiscent of the waving gesture. These scans were edited using the duotone settings in photoshop and we decided on the blue colour to be printed on to the flag.

The waving hand flag was then digitally printed on to cotton. It was then washed to help preserve the flag and hemmed to stop the edges from fraying. This flag will appear at the DR ME flag exhibition on December 13th in Manchester.
