Shemane knew that the subconscious mind is an extremely powerful tool. We generally forget or rather have forgotten just how much of a role it plays in our daily lives. She had always been really good at manifesting her desires. And that is exactly what she felt she had to do and did, put her mind or rather her subconscious mind to work and bringing it into her reality. It worked, of course she knew it would but it was to get her conscious mind into alignment with her subconscious mind – something that everyone struggles with and eventually will find themselves giving up just before the ‘’miracle’’ of fruition comes into being.

She strongly believes we are all interconnected not only with one another but with the animals and earth through our energy fields. And Shemane has this wonderful wish for love and harmony to flow throughout the world, encircling and encompassing us all.

The pressure to maintain/ sustain this version becomes higher and more intense as time goes on. It is extremely difficult to give up or let go of what we believe we should be in this world for various reasons:

a)

“Almost by definition the courageous conversation is the conversation you do not want to have and the first step is the step of acknowledging exactly where you are in the seasonality of your existence, what kind of b) threshold you are on, looking in the mirror and facing up to not only your possibilities in life also your difficulties and the way you sabotage yourself and sabotage others the way you stop the conversation from happen- c) ing.” (David Whyte ~ What to Remember When Waking)

28

To give it up one has to realize first where it comes from...what drives the need. That requires a great deal of introspective and re flective work. Delving into the depths of the psyche is no easy task, I is daunting, scary and requires a lot of com mitment, dedication, perseverance and courage. The need to become authentic must be stronger than the fear and discom fort associated with rel leasing the expected version. The driving force, the fear, still lurks under neath the inauthentic self. The answer to the question: “Who am I then if I am not this?” is feared. Stripping the illusion of who we think we should be leaves the fear and vulnerability exposed. “How do I cope with this?”, “I will die”, "I will November 2016

be nothing.", "I will be alone." are often ex pressions of the anxiety the thought of having to face the fear pro vokes. d)

The external world has bought into this version we created for various reasons. People love the public persona, the hero complex; they project their own fears, insecurities, hope into it. They distract from their own fears of insignifi cance, powerlessness, vulnerability by putting people on pedestals, creating out of them symbols of hope and in effect de-humanize them. Continued pro jection into and support for the public persona from the outside world, eventually enforces the person’s belief that the public persona is who they are and there is no option to be without it or just real. Not being the public persona be comes unimaginable and often dangerous to the person’s sense of survival.

e)

Secondary Gain: finan cial security, status etc. The potential loss of these as the public per sona is relinquished is feared.

Toxic Lover

When Love Turns Bad If you ever feel drained or dominated by one particular person in your life then you could be in a toxic relationship. A part of life is love! We are a species which likes to be in loving relationships. However, sometimes those relationships can turn into a love hate battle of who gets what. Toxic characters are everywhere, from the work place to friends, and finally to our families. These people can literally drain you with negativity. Here are some of the most common toxic lovers and how to go about breaking ties, if you need to: The Messiah The Messiah is someone who believes they are NUMBER ONE and the world revolves around them. As their partner you must obey and serve them as how else will you reach salvation? Stay or break? Does your life revolve around making The Messiah happy regardless of what sacrifices you make? A relationship is a partnership not a dictatorship. Have a discussion with The Messiah in your life about their unrelenting demands and if they are Aneis de Vida

The I Don’t Like Any of Your Friends We all need friends but if you are with a partner who doesn’t like any of your friends then alarm bells should start to ring. If someone does not like your friends they do not respect you, your views, your choices and your decisions.

it involves two people with one being obsessed about the other to the extent that they could literally destroy themselves over the other. Most of us dream of an all consuming love but for those who have been involved in this type of relationship there is nothing romantic about it. Stay or break?

nderstanding the ecosystem of microbial health in relationship to our body and that of our earth is paramount in understanding the health of both. If either of these ecosystem balances are disturbed it allows the invasion of pathogens. In this article I will endeavor to bring awareness to this vital system both in our body and that of the earth in a simplistic manner. Health is not a complicated process. Understanding some fundamental basics will go a long way in restoring balance to these systems. The reason as to why I put the soil of earth and the soil of our body in the same article is that both require deeper understanding. We are destroying our body and that of Earth purely because we have been fed erroneous stories that have taught us that bugs are bad. When we remove or destroy the bugs of our internal and external soil we begin a cascade effect. Bugs are one of the foundations to life form. All forms of plant life, animal life and human life are dependent on the health of the soil; Be it the soil of our digestive system or the soil of planet Earth. Let us begin with understanding the role of microbes in the soil though saying that, there is very little Aneis de Vida

Microbes keep us slim. Microbes play an im portant role in our body shape by helping us di gest and ferment foods, as well as by producing chemicals that shape our meta bolic rates. illnesses as well as the demise of earths eco-systems. 5 Choices you can make When you take care of your internal ecosystem you naturally take care of the external ecosystem. Some examples are: Eating foods that are clean, organic and locally supplied removes the burden of transportation, Look at how traditional cultures included living fermented foods and beverages in their diets. Include these foods in your diet and boost your probiotics and digestive enzymes. Reduce your meat consumption by having smaller portions, less often and choose to support local farmers that practice ethical farming.

Eliminate preservative foods that have little nutritional value. Include living foods as in fresh greens, fruits, sprouts, nuts and seeds. A practice Find a spot in the garden where you can see bugs at work. A good time is early in the morning or in the late afternoon. Sit and be witness to their movements. The benefits: you quieten your mind as you sit in quiet observation. You get to spend time with yourself. You breath and let life’s stresses dissolve. You feel the appreciation for life forms that are different to your own yet are as important. You experience gratitude for life.

We have been led to believe that our body, as that of Earth, has endless resources. These erroneous beliefs have got us into possi bly more trouble than we realise. If we keep on depleting these re sources, this life giving system will break down. We are seeing it through more chronic Aneis de Vida

For Beryl Broekman life really began on 16 March 2012. For it was then that, while doing a thetahealing course, she realized her soul purpose was to be an energy healer. Embracing her new found gift, she developed her own healing modality, Powatheta, and formed her own company in the same name. Rooted firmly in the 'real' world she goes to great lengths to demystify intuition, distance healing and the angelic realm and encourages businesses to embrace this untapped source of wisdom to maximize profits. It was not long before Beryl started writing down the insights from other worlds and her blog series (www.mysticstoryteller.com) took shape. Beryl has an exceptionally close relationship with the beings of the angelic realm. The ten archangels trusted her to write down their poems which they wanted to express to us and these can be found in her book 'Poetry of the Archangels'. Through her, they also have their own Facebook page -Angel wisdom for modern times (https:// www.facebook.com/ cosmicguidance/-) where anyone can ask them a question and get an answer specifically for them.

Beryl is based in Johannesburg, South Africa. As well as consulting and spending her time writing the mystic storyteller books she develops property, travels to India every year, spends time with family and goes scuba diving. You can find out more about her on the website www.powatheta.com.

uring your adolescence (the teenage years), as the result of hormonal changes, you can expect to experience tremendous growth in your bodies, minds and thinking abilities. You will notice that you have developed very powerful needs for more freedom and independence, to be recognised and respected as a person who can make his or her own decisions, to be fully accepted (especially by friends), but also by your parents and other adults and the urge to understand and come to terms with your emotions (self-image and self-esteem) and your sexuality. Your self-image and selfesteem form a major part of your personality and you will find that they play an enormous part in your expectations and behaviour. Your self-image can be simply defined as that which you see and think when looking in the mirror. In other words, who or what you believe you are in terms of your looks and personality, whether you see yourself as too fat or too thin, either attractive or unattractive to others, as well as your thoughts about your families economic status and position in the community. Your self-image also includes what you represent Aneis de Vida

to yourself in terms of your moral and religious beliefs and values. You must have felt by now that your self-image is quite vulnerable and this is why, as teens, you will go to great lengths to try to maintain a positive self-image to others. If, however, your self-image is broken down as the result of being constantly humiliated or feeling inadequate, it will drastically affect your behaviour and relationships with others, including your parents, as it is closely related to your sense of selfconfidence and self-esteem. Your self-esteem is related to your self-image, but is concerned more with your emotions and the way you feel about yourself. In other words, your sense of selfworth. As teens, you can expect to develop an intense emotional life and to ride a roller coaster of good and bad feelings. You may find that you are very open to mood swings and easily become angry, frustrated and depressed if things do not go your way. This is understandable, as it takes many years of life experience to develop the skills to process the ups and downs of everyday life smoothly. You may find yourself being frustrated in your needs and at times feeling rebellious. This can 63

be even more intense if it is coupled to emotional pain and problems with your family you may have experienced as a young child and which are still unresolved. In my experience as a counsellor, there are a number of problems most frequently encountered by teenagers which can become real headaches. I will discuss a few of these now, together with a few ideas on how to resolve them. • I suspect the most important problem to be unpleasant relationships with your parents, teachers or friends. Some of you may have entered puberty with underlying resentments, distrust or a general lack of respect for the feelings of your parents or teachers or even some of your friends. This can be due to unresolved issues and emotional problems from your own childhood or it may merely be your personality trying to assert itself. It is normal for a teen to try and challenge old ways and assert themselves as an independent person. You are still in the process of learning and need to discover your new place in the social scheme of things. However, always remember that ego-driven November 2016

or selfish behaviour does not lend itself to building good relationships and this is where conflict between yourselves and your parents, teachers and friends occurs most. The first and most important requirement for a good relationship with your parents, teachers and friends is to gain their trust and to build mutual respect. If a common trust and mutual respect between yourselves and your parents has already been established early in your childhood, you will communicate better and find it possible to be generally more open and honest about your issues and feelings. It is important to understand that both parenting and teaching are very difficult and responsible tasks. You will therefore need to learn to respect your parents or teachers and allow them to play a meaningful role in giving you guidance and direction. If they experience this basic respect, it likely that, in turn, you will receive the respect and acceptance you wish for yourself. For those of you that have step-fathers or step-mothers, it can be very difficult to build a relationship with a person whom you have not Aneis de Vida

known from childhood. This will be a slow process in which mutual respect and trust will need to be earned by means of positive behaviour, genuine concern and integrity on the your part as well as that of your stepparent.

• Conflict often results from arguments with regard to spending or staying out late. Over-spending may result from your lack of experience, but can also result from your need to build your self-image by impressing your friends, and this can be costly. You will find that the whole issue of being allowed out late relates once again to your need for independence and self-assertiveness, but this needs to be handled carefully. You are attempting to build up an selfimage of yourselves as independent and coping individuals. However, attacking your parents with strong words, anger and resentment or withdrawing completely from the family when confronted, will not solve the problem. Sometimes the secret to gaining their trust and co-operation is merely timing, knowing when and how to approach them on an issue. This is dependent on your having good communication skills and a will64

ingness to give and take, which we can discuss more fully during a later article. Most parents will be prepared to discuss and compromise on an issue such as curfew time provided you are willing to accept their guidance and give your cooperation with regard to the rules. Your attitude towards your parents and the whole idea of rules, limits and guidelines, is therefore extremely important. Freedom and independence does not come all at once. As you grow older and demonstrate that you are more responsible and mature, you should systematically be allowed greater freedom. A 15 or 16 year old who is still in school cannot expect the same privileges as an 18 or 19 year old who is in university.

• Some teens are very shy and withdrawn and have many problems coping socially. You may also have been told that you are immature or childish for your age. It may be that you have inherited some or other personality trait of your parents, such as not having an outgoing personality. However, these problems may also be due to your earlier childhood, in which November 2016

you may not have received sufficient guidance and support from your parents or role models, leaving you feeling lonely and isolated. Unfortunate circumstances such as poverty or unhappy past experiences with violence, abuse or neglect in your home, will affect your self-image and self-esteem and could be the cause of your lack of confidence, shyness or immaturity and this will need to be dealt with by a counsellor. • We also have the problem of unreasonable expectations from parents, especially with regard to achievement in school or sports activities. Unreasonable expectations have been known to drive teenagers into behaviour problems, depression and even to suicide. Once again, the danger is related to your sense of self-esteem or self-worth. It takes courage to be able to stand on your own two feet and say “I’m OK”, even when you feel judged or that you not being accepted because you are not considered "good enough".

If you are experiencing problems in this area and are unable to resolve it with your parents, it would be wise to seek advice from Aneis de Vida

school counsellors or teachers who can give you an honest opinion on your performance and further guidance as to what steps to follow.

you are entitled to the unconditional love, support and encouragement of your parents, especially when you are experiencing difficulties or in the middle of a crisis. Unfortunately, I do understand that sometimes this support and unconditional acceptance may not always be forthcoming. In such cases, I would recommend that, rather than taking advice from wellmeaning friends who do not have any more answers than you do, you seek help from a school counsellor, a relevant organisation or a professional therapist.

• You may also be experiencing peer pressure to become sexually active, to use drugs or to drink excessively. These can be major problems if you have not been taught about the dangers from an early age and have not developed the selfdiscipline to cope with these temptations and with peer pressure. With peer pressure, your need for acceptance and respect can steer you towards behaviour which you would normally not consider safe or acceptable. The counter to such pressure is to build up a strong set of moral and ethical beliefs, including a firm belief in yourself and secondly, to avoid situations where you know you will be subject to such pressure. ooking at the world at this moment in time it feels as if Armageddon is upon us… the 3rd world war seems inevitable, but it is not the end times. It is the end of time with regard to old Energy, the old ways that are not serving us and the beginning of the NEW ENERGY coming in. Your experience depends on what are you focusing your Energy – thoughts on. Should you come from a fear base and viewing the World in fear, yes then it will look bad and you can even imagine many other possibilities playing themself out. All the pain and loss that you will have to overcome and most probably lose some of your loved ones and perhaps in the process lose your own life……YES that looks bad. When you fear, your body releases the stress hormone cortisol. Cortisol shifts you into fight-or -flight mode, directing oxygen, blood, and energy away from everything to the systems that are essential for immediate survival.

All the extra cortisol released by frequent stress/fear impairs your immune system and makes you more susceptible to high cholesterol, diabetes, heart disease, and obesity. Since human beings are inherently social, our brains naturally and unconsciously mimic the moods of those around us, particularly people we spend a great deal of time with.

This is not the end of time…… it is the changing of time. The Energy vibration as we know it, is lifting and it is lifting the vibration of Mother Earth and each one of us. That is what is causing all this upheaval in the world.

not hear it or see it, but rather you are seeing the bigger picture from your heart Secondly, when those views of the world are clouding the view in your heart and soul, you need to clear of your intent, keep it foremost in your mind. Say to yourself, I see you I hear you, but that is not for the good of all mankind, so my heart will show me the way, my light will guide me. It is of paramount importance to believe and not doubt your path despite the obstacles, it is almost like the Universe is playing a game, checking if you are 100% sure this is the way you want to go, these are the things you desire and need, Once the Universe is convinced you are 100% on board, things will start to move in your direction .... the slightest doubt, misaligned thought can halt everything, so if you think them, change those thoughts and words immediately.

Messages from the Master, are channelled conversations with Atenar, a Master Healer, Spirit Guide, my personal Gate Keeper, Soul Mate, Best Friend and Advisor

DO NOT believe in those things that distract you from your goal, follow strong and steady, it is not easy, but nothing worth having is ..... If life on earth in these dense skins were easy, there would be no point, no lessons, no gifts. Trust yourself, trust your path, trust those gut feelings, trust your built in instincts that connect you to ALL THAT IS ...... and all will be well.

This month we are dealing with trust. Trusting in the unseen is one of the most difficult lessons to overcome. Knowing and believing all will be well despite what your eyes see and ears hear. To learn to blank out the physical and see with the spiritual. The art is to surround yourself with firstly, likeminded positive friends who understand you and your path and can link with you in harmony for the good of all mankind. The more you do this, the less you see the negative impact surrounding you. It is almost like an invisible wall of protection. It is not that you do Aneis de Vida

Hello dear children of the light it is I Michael and it gladdens me so to speak to thee all consciously today. Exciting times lay ahead my dear ones, this is the time of mastery, a time of claiming your ascension into the higher realms of light. The journey of mastery takes much discipline and steadfastness and I would like to give to thee all a meditation to do each and everyday to keep thine light levels at an optimum vibration. Be still and call upon the beings of light that walketh with thee. Ask of them to take thee to the highest realms of light. November 3 Card Reading 1—10 November Definitely not a time to have your heart rule your head. Now is the time to act with a decisive mind. Get all your ducks in a row and follow through in a logical manner. You will find you are less diplomatic at this time but also be prepared for sudden changes that may occur.

11— 20 November Following through with the first part of November, the second half confirms to continue on your path of action, it needs your full attention with unwavering focus. Be reminded to think things through well and with the head not the heart and then move with speed and certainty.

21— 30 November During this part of the month it is time to take a break. The action/s you have been taking during the greater part of the month will not benefit from further action on your part. Be mindful not to challenge those who disagree with you. Successful resolutions to conflicts will arise from meditation and epiphanies during quiet time. A time to actively seek relief from stress in your life.
