Saturday 2 October: Psalms, Psinging and Psandwiches 10am - 3:30pm. Poster for Psalms, Psinging and Psandwiches eventCome and explore psalmody at this regional event of the Hymn Society. This will be a really interesting day studying psalms and the variety of ways they can be sung. It will be led by speakers from Bedford, Reading and Gloucestershire. The day will include talks on Anglican chant, psalms in hymnody and the liturgical use of psalms. Sung examples will include new metrical translations from Psalms for the Common Era by Adam Carlill, psalms sung as plainsong, anglican chant, anthems, hymns and more.
