SKYLIGHT FURNITURE RECYCLING PROJECT
D
id you know that SKylight (part of the Stockport Homes Group) has a Furniture Recycling Project? The project was first developed back in 2017, over the last 5 years the project has grown from collecting left over items in Stockport Homes’ empty properties, to offering a free collection service from anywhere in the borough. The team collects preloved furniture and white goods and redistributes them to households across Stockport who do not have the means to furnish their properties themselves. Over the last 12 months we helped over 470 households to furnish their

home by delivering over 1000 items of furniture and saving 47 tonnes of furniture from ending up in landfill. Do you have any good quality second hand furniture that you could donate to our project, or white goods such as cookers, fridge freezers, or washing machines and driers?
