2 Using the Twin Set Display A. Unpacking - Carefully unpack the Levitation Display box. - Unwrap the carrier plateau and base. - The carrier plateau and the base are a matched set. - The base and carrier plateau are numbered. Please do not interchange them with other display sets. - Never hold the base module upside down. The magnet clamped mirror could possibly fall out.

7

B. Placing the base - The base should be placed on a flat horizontal surface. - Make sure, you keep the space between the knobs on the bottom of the base open, so ventilation air can enter through the bottom of the base. - Avoid bright lights on the sensors (black central ‘eyes’ on top of the base) - The Twin Set Display can only be used indoors. Avoid humid conditions. The Display can become - damaged due to moisture, humidity or liquids. Make sure the nearby surroundings of the Display - adheres to the general safety and warnings as stated in Section 3 and 4.

8

C. Power connection - Inside the base are two universal power adaptors which are combined into one power cable with a US power plug attached to it. - The device is turned on by putting the power plug into the power socket. There is no power button. - Never use the display when power cables seem to be damaged. - Do not try to replace the power cable(s). Please refer to your contact on the last page of this manual. D. Use of the carrier plateau - The carrier plateau is controlled by an optical system. Therefore you must not put anything between the sensor eyes of the base and the reflective spots, which can be seen on the bottom of the carrier plateau. Otherwise the carrier plateau will fall down. - Do not push or bump the carrier plateau from the sensors.

9

- Watch out! The Carrier Plateau is magnetic, it will attract iron and magnetic parts. It could influence objects that are vulnerable to magnetic fields. - When building something around the display, make sure it doesn’t have iron or other magnetic parts in it, as it can influence the levitation. !

- NEVER BRING TWO CARRIER PLATEAUS NEAR EACH OTHER! +35

-10

They will attract each other with force and they could be damaged!

10

E. How to setup the Twin Set Display Step 1) Place the base unit inside it ’s proper external housing. Step 2) Insert the powerplug into a powersocket. (see Topic C) You can see that both sensors have a faint red glow in the middle of each sensor. Step 3) Let the carrier plateau slightly rest on top of your fingers. Hold the the carrier plateau carefully above the sensor eyes. At the bottom of the carrier plateau there are 2 reflective dots, those should be positioned right above the sensor eyes. You can feel a ‘lock’ occur. This means that the levitation system has the carrier plateau in control. Step 4) Carefully let go of the carrier plateau. READY! !

+35

*Step 3 and 4 might require some practice. -10

11

Step 6) The base will keep the carrier plateau levitated. Always make sure that the carrier plateau is floating horizontally. If it’s leaning slightly backwards or sideways, then you must reposition the product(s) on the carrier plateau. If the carrier plateau and product(s) are not balanced correctly, the system might overheat. Heat protection will kick in and will shut the system down. If this happens, pull out the main plug, let the system cool off for 10 minutes, then repeat actions from step 2. Notes If the carrier plateau falls down, carefully ‘pull’ of the carrier plateau from the base and repeat actions starting from step 3. Make sure you never hold the base sideways or upside down, the mirror top could fall out and become damaged (Magnetic clamp).
