This blog is called Marketing Print Media and Facebook so now to Facebook.
I commenced using Facebook for business many years ago and many changes have taken place both with my business and to changes with Facebook. One thing, I still recommend with Facebook is communicating with your fans on a Facebook page as this is still a great way to build relationships. Social Media - Facebook Most businesses should have a home page for their business. Even small business will benefit from a Facebook page. Facebook is about relationships ‘Friends’. You need first to have a personal profile set up, prior to creating a business profile. Once you have your personal page set up go about setting up your company profile as a page. People can become ‘Fans’ of your company, which is a great way to stay in touch with customers, clients and the people interested in your business. It is important to keep your business page and your personal profile separate. When writing posts on Facebook you can choose which profile or page to post on and who you are posting as. Your company page can be populated with company information, photos, videos, links back to your website and promotions. You can choose to keep your promotion in the eye of your Facebook fans by placing the advertisement pictures as a profile picture or selecting to keep the post at the top of your business page. You can also add applications to increase the functionality of your pages such as an RSS feed from your blog or a sign-up page to your blog or email list. Facebook is all about networking and you need to think of gaining Facebook friends or business fans in the same way you think of increasing your email subscribers. It is also important to ensure that you are providing value to your business page that is; useful interesting informative entertaining The content needs to help your audience connect with you. Be yourself when posting on your Facebook page but be professional and authentic. As mentioned Facebook is about building relationships, be social and communication. Facebook has rules and regulations on advertising and it is important that you review these prior to advertising via Facebook. You will also need to establish a budget should you decide to use Facebook advertising.
