Timothy Steenberg Memorial Blood Drive On Saturday, December 10th from 9:00am-2:00pm there will be a Blood Drive held at the Unyts Southgate Neighborhood Blood Donation Center to honor the memory of Timothy Steenberg. Tim passed away in March 2016 from a rare degenerative neurological disease. He was a dedicated husband, father, son and brother. Tim’s family always came first, especially his two sons, Timothy and Jeffrey. He also loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Tim was a kind and generous person to all those who knew him! Some called him a gentle giant because he was a big man with an even bigger heart. His giving nature was evident through his dedication to donating blood for many years. Tim would have turned 60 years old this year and his family felt a blood drive held in his name would be the perfect way to honor his legacy. By giving blood with Unyts you are making sure your family, friends, neighbors and other members of the community have blood available when they need it. Since beginning collections in June 2007, Unyts has become the primary supplier of blood products for Kaleida Health, ECMC, and hospitals in Niagara and Wyoming Counties. Chamber of Commerce Welcomes New Member
The Glass Menagerie, a glass and gift shop located at 6853 Erie Rd (Route 5) in Derby, celebrated an open house/ ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday November 21st.
