Most Precious Blood Church and Operation Good Neighbor (OGN) would like to thank all who donated to the recent Project: Keep Evans Warm and Fed effort to provide essential warm winter clothing and food to Town of Evans residents in need. Over 1100 items of warm winter clothing was donated that included coats, snow pants, hats, gloves/mittens and boots. Much of the clothing donated was purchased new or homemade with heartfelt intentions. The food drive collected 340 pounds of canned/dry goods. The paper goods and personal care items were numerous. Every donation, no matter how small, helped make this effort a success. We would like to mention that contributions from First Church of Evans greatly enhanced the Project’s total. Although the Christmas Season version of Project: Keep Evans Warm and Fed is officially over, the need for more clothing, food, and paper goods still exist. Please save the following numbers and feel free to call 481-4480 or 507-6703 for any donations to be taken to OGN during the upcoming year. We have learned from OGN that once the holidays have ended, the support for those requiring assistance decreases. Kindergarten Registration for the 2025-26 School Year
Children enrolling in Kindergarten in the Lake Shore Central School District as of September 2025 should register before March 7, 2025 The school district will conduct Kindergarten Registration as outlined below.
• To be enrolled in the September 2025 Kindergarten class, a child living in the Lake Shore Central School District must be five years of age on or before December 1, 2025 pursuant to §7120 of the Lake Shore CSD Policy Manual and NYS Education Department regulations.
• Proof of age is required at the time of registration. A birth certificate, baptismal record, or a passport will serve as adequate proof of age. Also, an official record of immunizations and two proofs of district residency is required for registration.
• All immunizations must be acquired by the start of school in September. Students without required immunizations will not be permitted to start school.
• Kindergarten Visitation - parents and entering students will be invited to visit classrooms, take a short bus ride, and meet teachers before the start of school.
