She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Found (Coach) of Angola, Brother James Frazee of Fabius, NY, and son, David Found. She is survived by six children: Lonna (James) Johnson of California, Roberta (Rob) Campbell of Maryland, Patricia (Buddy) Clark of Buffalo, James Found of Cincinnati, Marcia Found Hawkes (David) of Colden, and Maria (Gunner) Tronolone of Orchard Park. She is also survived by Sister Jane Serednicky of Vermont, 13 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday March 28th in the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints, 12995 Rt. 438, and Gowanda, NY, where visitation were held 1 hour prior to service. Mr. & Mrs. Robert J. Clark, of Angola, announce the engagement of their daughter, Julie Marie, to Mr. Robert John Atkinson Jr., son of Robert and Deborah Atkinson, of Angola. Ms. Clark is a 2008 graduate of SUNY Fredonia receiving a Bachelor of Science in Education and Special Education. She also received a Master of Science in Education specializing in Literacy in 2010 from SUNY Fredonia. Currently, Ms. Clark is an Elementary Special Education Teacher at the Lake Shore Central School District in Angola. Mr. Atkinson is a 2007 graduate of SUNY Brockport receiving a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology. He also received a Master of Science in Education specializing in Secondary Science and Special Education in 2012. Currently, Mr. Atkinson is a Physical Science and Earth Science teacher at the Pioneer Central School District in Yorkshire. He also coaches Science Olympiad for the District. The wedding is being planned for Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Most Precious Blood Church, Angola, followed by a reception at Salvatore’s Italian Gardens. The happy couple plan to honeymoon in Maui, Hawaii.

Brant’s 175th Anniversary Pictorial Postmark
The 175th Anniversary Pictorial Postmark Event was on March 25, 2014. The event was held at the Brant Post Office and was sponsored by the BrantFarnham Historical Society. Well over 70 people throughout the afternoon attended this very special celebration of our town’s incorporation, which consisted of a FREE Raffle for a Made in USA Blanket, FREE donuts, and availability of historical postmark items from the 1989 celebration. Brant’s Postmaster in Charge, David Tempestoso and Post Master Relief (PMR) Tony Cerabone were there of course – stamping away with the official Town of Brant 175th Anniversary Pictorial Postmark. The postmark was placed with care on all the envelopes people carried in to mail or save as souvenirs. The 175th anniversary postmark can be found displayed on the top left of page 59 of the postal bulletin dated 3/20/2014. This Postal bulletin is available for viewing all over the country. In fact, on the day of the event, 3/25/2014, the postal bulletin had only been out for 5 short days….and the Brant Post Office had already received over 12 requests for the 175TH anniversary cancellation. Requests came from all over the USA; as far away as California and as close as Buffalo and Albany. The Niagara Frontier High School Club Hockey combined of 16 WNY high schools played on Friday, March 21st, 2014 at the Riverside Hockey Rink in Buffalo for the “1st Ever All Star Game.” The schools were broken up into 4 teams. Players from Eden, Lake Shore, South Park, Starpoint and Iroquois formed the Blue Team. The Blue Team won both games, 7 to 5 and 9 to 3, for the Championship. The District Clerk will automatically mail an Absentee Ballot to each voter whose registration record on file with the county board of elections is marked “permanently disabled”. All other voters must submit an application prior to obtaining an absentee ballot. An Application for Absentee Ballot will be available in the District Clerk’s Office beginning Monday, April 7, 2014 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. The District Clerk’s Office is located in the Lake Shore Sr. High School at 959 Beach Road, Angola, NY. The Application for Absentee Ballot must be received by the District Clerk at least 7 days before (May 13, 2014) the election if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, or the day before the election, if the ballot is to be delivered personally to the voter. Absentee Ballots must be received by the District Clerk by 5:00 p.m. on the day of the election (May 20, 2014).

School Transfers for Native American Students
Pursuant to an agreement between the New York State Education Department and the Lake Shore (Evans-Brant) Central School District, Native American children residing within the Cattaraugus Reservation may attend the Lake Shore Central Schools by filing an application for transfer by April 15th each year. Such application for September enrollment shall be effective upon approval by the Lake Shore Superintendent, which approval or denial and the reasons therefore shall be set forth in writing. The state shall provide transportation for any child transferring under this section.
