The BoonARKM Partnership welcomes you to our 2022 draft of Angus and Simmental sired bulls. We have a total of 12 bulls from a range of cow families and sires. We have on offer this year a draft of 6 BoonARKM yearling bulls in total, comprised of 2 Simmental sired bulls, and 4 Full blood Angus bulls. We have the longevity of our bulls in mind when preparing them for sale. 100% no grain or pellets, they have been on planted pasture, cereal and lucerne hay. These bulls are the real deal. We are pleased to be continuing our partnership with Sprys this year and have an exciting line of 6 rising 18 month old bulls and a wider range of genetics, having a combined breeding experience of almost 70 years! These bulls are an absolute credit to Sprys, consistent as ever. We are so pleased to be able to offer you these bulls. All 7 bulls have been Genomics tested, also Sire or Parent Verified. Sprys Shorthorn & Angus have in mind a balance of EBV’s which makes it easier for our clients to produce balanced profit driven animals. What a year 2021 has been! All time record highs in both the market place and bull sale rings. With Angus bull averages smashing records, sitting at $13,743 for 2021, 69% up from 2020only reflecting how well the market is going. We have seen an unprecedented all time high in 2021, The impact of widespread rain is the latest contributor to push the EYCI to a eye watering 1147.28c- More so, than ever, at a time like this, every kilo counts.

This year we have seen some exiting developments and improvements in our operation, our most exciting that we are looking forward to, is calving down our flush out of our favourite ‘Blackbird’ cow family, with two flushes done mid 2021 out of E166 to GAR Drive and LD Capitalist- both well proven in Australian, top priced bull at Sprys Shorthorn & Angus 2021 sale, selling for $50k was sired by Drive. Capitalist is proving to be one of the most consistent sires in the industry, this bull has had the most number of calves registered in the USA in 2021. He has had the most progeny born in Australia in the last two years, and we are excited to see what he will do for us. An important improvement that has seen results almost instantly, has been the introduction of 50K genomics testing in our herd. As of 2021 all calves born at BoonARKM, both Angus and Simmental sired will be 50K tested and DNA parent verified tested which gives confidence to our clients and also adding accuracy to our EBV’s. Please see the section of 50K testing for more information. We continue our successful partnership with Cloverlea and Rockwella Farm Dairies, combining years of cattle experience and expertise to be able to continue along side the stud with the idea of sharing input with three parties with Annie remaining the stud principal and manager.
