The Committee

The role of the committee is to provide guidance and assistance to Angus Australia in planning, promoting and conducting the 2025 World Angus Forum in Australia.

Angus Australia is pleased to announce the composition of the World Angus Forum committees as follows:

WHO IS Angus Australia?

The Angus Society of Australia (Angus Australia) was established in 1919.

With a mission ‘To maximise the profitability and sustainability of members through innovation and service’ Angus Australia is focused on supporting the genetic improvement and marketability of Angus and Angus-influenced cattle and beef.

Angus Australia is built on the core values of integrity, engagement, excellence, respect, resilience and simplicity, to allow for versatility within the breed and ensure there are ‘Angus for every system’.

Angus Australia has over 3,600 members.

These Angus breeders are responsible for over 40% of animals registered in Australian pedigree beef herds.

It’s no secret that Angus is the breed of choice in much of Australia and Angus Australia works in conjunction with members to keep the Angus breed at the leading edge.

The Angus Australia head office is based in Armidale in northern New South Wales with a staff of over 30 full time employees.

Angus Australia is governed by a Board of Directors who are responsible for making key strategy and policy decisions, and is supported by Affiliated Angus Groups who promote the interests of the Angus breed and conduct various breed promotion activities around Australia..

Past World Angus Forums

Elders World Angus Forum 1997

The Elders World Angus Forum took place from October 27th until November 9th 1997 in Darling Harbour, Sydney, New South Wales. The event incorporated a post forum tour from Sydney, through to Melbourne in Victoria. This was the 8th World Angus Forum.

This forum was the largest beef conference of its type in Australia and the largest World Angus Forum ever held, with 800 delegates from 15 countries attending. 300 delegates joined the post conference tour from Sydney to Melbourne.

2017 Scotland World Angus Forum

Hosted a 5-day pre tour through England, a 3-day tour though Ireland during the forum and a 6-day post tour through Scotland.

Beef for a better Planet

Every 4 years the global Angus community conducts a major forum for information exchange, learning and networking of members representing the various Angus associations around the world. We anticipate a large attendance of our members, guests and industry representatives from Australia, plus a large contingent of international guests.

An exciting program is being developed, include a Welcome Function in Sydney, followed by a 7 day pre-forum tour. The pre-tour will include a 2 day Beef Expo held at AELEC in Tamworth, NSW. It is anticipated to be the largest single display of live Angus cattle and genetics globally, with every Australian member invited to participate in the showcase.

The Forum is a 2 day international conference in Brisbane and will be held on the 7th-8th of May 2025 at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. Following the forum there will be a further 5 day post-forum tour.

South East Asia, will be a major marketing target for this event along with other Angus producing countries.

We will be presenting our delegates with an exciting speaker program. These individuals are carefully chosen for their ability to encapsulate the essence of the Forums theme, ‘BEEF FOR A BETTER PLANET’, offering a unique perspective that captivates, educates and motivates our attendees. Whether they are renowned experts in their field, industry leaders, or individuals with extraordinary life stories, our speakers will bring a sense of gravitas and excitement to the event, leaving a lasting impact on all who have the privilege of hearing them speak.

This is an opportunity to support the Angus Youth of the World. Each Angus Association around the world will be invited to nominate teams of four to participate in a competition and educational opportunity that will see teams involved in public speaking, cattle assessment, cattle preparation and handling and a young farmers challenge. The World Angus Forum Youth Competition will take place during the pre tour and culminate with a presentation in Brisbane.

SPONSORSHIP BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

SPONSORSHIP BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Where appropriate, Goods & Services Tax (GST) is applicable to all goods and services offered by the Forum Managers and all prices in this document are inclusive of the GST. GST is calculated at the date of publication of this document. The Forum Managers reserve the right to vary the quoted prices in accordance with any movements in the legislated rate of the GST.

2. Sponsorship will be allocated only on receipt of a signed Booking Form and Booking Terms & Conditions. A letter of confirmation will be provided to confirm the booking, together with a tax invoice for the required 20% deposit. The deposit is payable 30 days from the date of the tax invoice. The balance is due and payable by 1st February 2025. Applications received after 1st February 2025 must include full payment.

3. All monies are payable in Australian dollars.

4. All monies due and payable must be received by the Forum Managers prior to the event. No organisation will not be listed as a sponsor in any official conference material until full payment and a booking form have been received by the Forum Managers.

5. If sponsorship payment is not received by 1st February 2025 you will receive an email notifying you that the authorised credit card supplied on the booking form will be charged the remaining unpaid amount.

6. CANCELLATION POLICY: In the event of cancellation, a service fee of 50% of total fees applies for cancellations prior to 1st February 2025. No refunds will be made for cancellations after this date and full payment will be required. Should a cancellation be made prior to payment being made, the appropriate cancellation fee will be applicable and the Forum Managers will issue an invoice which will be payable within seven (7) days. After Sponsorship has been confirmed and accepted, a reduction in Sponsorship is considered a cancellation and will be governed by the above cancellation policy.

7. No sponsor shall assign, sublet or apportion the whole or any part of their sponsorship package except upon prior written consent of the Forum Managers.

8. Sponsorship monies will facilitate towards the successful planning and promotion of the Forum in addition to subsidising the cost of management, communication, invited speakers, program and publications. Sponsorship monies are not expended on any entertainment incurred which is incidental to the activities of the Forum.

9. Sponsorship entitlements including organisation logo on the Forum website and other marketing material will be delivered only after receipt of the required deposit or full payment.

10. Delegate List may be used by the Sponsor for the purpose of contacting World Angus Forum 2025 Forum delegates only. The list must not be used for the purpose related to future Forum, and shall not be transferred in whole or in part to any Third party. The delegate list can be used up to a twelve month period from the start date of the Forum.

11. Privacy Statement - YES I consent to my details being shared with suppliers and contractors of the event to assist with my participation, being included in participant lists and for the information distribution in respect to other relevant events organised by Angus Australia.
