he new Board met again, for the first time as the Board rather than the Incoming Board. We committed to producing a detailed plan for the coming year which will put some flesh on the bones of Strategic Plan which we discussed with everyone a couple of weeks ago.

I know that every Board member is committed to delivering an excellent plan of activities and we will be seeking the support of all members to help us deliver the plan.

working collaboratively with our sister clubs in our area as we move forward on some of our plans. One potential collaboration might well be on an Indigenous project and Phil Dunn and Terry O’Marra have uncovered a potential project which we might be able to work on during this year. Terry alluded to this during our meeting and this looks like it has great potential to add some real value to the local community in the Condobolin area by creating a new business venture in which indigenous young people can be employed and trained, giving them a sustainable future for themselves and their families. I am pleased that we are able to attract some new members early in the year and thanks to those members who have been working to introduce new members to the club. By the end of this week’s meting we will have added three new members this year. This is a great start to the year and I hope that everyone can help with the push to introduce new members to the club. There are prospects of another new member in the offing also so perhaps by the end of the year we might reach double digit new members! I can dream can’t I? Progress continues to be made on our Cross Country Challenge under the leadership of Mike Blair and I am confident we are going to have a great event. It will not be as big as our last Tour de Hills but if we manage it well it might have the potential to become as big over time and a regular feature of the Orange Blossom Festival. We will need everyone’s help to make it a great success. Our newest member George is busy looking after his partner who has been in the hospital and will need further treatment. We wish Aileen well and I know she will get a lot of support from her family and friends which includes ourselves. That’s it for now. A bit shorter than last week but I will try to keep these messages relevant rather than verbose! Yours in Rotary ,
President Chris 2
