It was great to see how much she appreciated it based on her reaction. I think that one can see that this is a much deserved award given the contribution she has made to the community and so much of it not in politics. She has been a leading mover and shaker in a number of significant charitable ventures including the Sanctuary, which is what she came to talk to us about.

We achieved an excellent result at our recent Bunnings BBQ and a big thank you goes to everyone who contributed to the sale of 1000 snags and the raising of over $2000. We also had a good sum in the bucket collection so a big thank you to the generosity of the local people of the Castle Hill. I remember making one order for 12 snags while I was there. I cannot recall having sold that many in a single order before. Great help again form friends of Rotary, one of whom will soon become a new member (I believe).

The International Night is coming up soon I think that all the members of the Sanctuary and so we need to bring our money this – the paid employees, the volunteers and the Wednesday so that we can secure the night at board – can be justifiably proud of the work Billy the Greek’s. Many thanks to Phil Davis they have done to establish the Sanctuary for his arrangements. and the great success they have enjoyed.
